Chapter 1539: Chapter 45, The Initial Agricultural Tax_2

War seems to be a contest of military power and financial resources, but in reality, it is more a contest of productivity.

The rapid rise of the Human Race is due not only to their adept political strategies and formidable military strength, but most importantly, their superior productivity over other races.

If we push the tiline back, the initial Human Race did not have any significant advantages, their racial talents rely considered average or below across the Continent.

However, the Human Race excels in learning, having absorbed everything that other races are skilled at mastering.

The crystallization of wisdom from various races collided within the Human Race, sparking the flas of civilization’s leap.

Even with weak cultivation talent, they can optimize techniques, creating thods most suitable for themselves.

While other races may have relatively uniform cultivation paths, the Human World presents an endless array of branches and diversity, showcasing a flourishing era.

The rise of the Clergy to a substantial degree stifled this flourishing era of cultivation, but the Clergy has now declined.

As long as the numbers are large enough, there will always be Strongn.

Although the current Human Race’s advantage in top-tier Strongn may not be very apparent, their middle and lower forces absolutely far exceed other races.

The ministers continuously voiced their opinions, quickly bewildering Caesar IV.

Everyone made valid points and supported them with their respective theoretical bases. No one dared to make definitive predictions about the future situation.

“Marshal Hudson, what is your view on the current situation?”

Being called upon, Hudson was still in a state of confusion. Clearly, like Caesar IV, he was also bewildered by the ministers.

There must be opinions, but the current discussion amounts to projections about future situations.

Everything is based on established logical fraworks, yet if any changes occur in between, all conclusions would beco invalid.

Just like how earlier predictions were made: the Clergy will decline steadily under the encroachnt of various nations until its ultimate destruction.

Yet due to the outbreak of the Magic Cataclysm, Earth Core race invasion, and the return of overseas Strongn, three major variables pulled the Clergy back from the brink of extinction.

“Your Majesty, for the Kingdom, whether the Alien Coalition intervenes in the war is actually of little importance.

There are no Earth Core races settled within the Kingdom’s territory, so even if Different Races wanted to offer support, they couldn’t find a target for aid.

If the Alien Coalition directly engages, we still have to fight the Orcs. It would be like initiating beast-slaying warfare ahead of ti.

Given the current state of the Orc Empire, it isn’t a match for the Kingdom. In just half a year, our borders could advance several hundred miles.

Whether the Elf’s Mother Tree revives, there is no need to waste ti worrying about it.

It can be hidden temporarily, but not forever. As long as the number of newborn elves increases significantly, we can default to assuming the Elf’s Mother Tree has recovered.

After the downfall of the Orc Empire, we can then wage war against the Elf Race.

Employing our sa strategy against the Orcs, we can initiate conflicts every few years, continuously exhausting them.

The imdiate priority is to first partition the lands on the border.

The free citizens previously relocated to those areas by the Kingdom have now settled in. The results are quite promising, addressing a third of the army’s monetary and food concerns at the frontline.

This ratio is expected to increase to fifty percent in the future.

Whether continuing to relocate free citizens or directly granting land to Nobles for rule, the land cannot remain idle!”

Hudson cautiously replied.

Without any political stance, yet representing the interests of the Noble Consortium.

The Kingdom Governnt has been wanting to expand directly governed domains for quite so ti. Unfortunately, while the idea is appealing, reality is dire.

Relocating free citizens may seem simple as Hudson puts it, however, the practical resistance encountered is overwhelming.

Historically, defending borders has always been considered the toughest task, typically reserved for exiled criminals.

The previous relocation of free citizens was done under imnse pressure from the Kingdom Governnt. Even Caesar IV was heavily criticized by the public.

Continuing to relocate free citizens will not only face public pressure, but the Kingdom lacks sufficient unemployed population!

Those remaining are skilled individuals capable of surviving in cities, with hos and careers.

If the Kingdom Governnt forcibly orders these people to the borders for developnt, they would quickly flee to settle in other countries.

The real option left for the Kingdom Governnt is to continue enfeoffing land, allowing ambitious Nobles to go forth.

This isn’t Hudson digging a pit on purpose; it is entirely driven by the Kingdom’s subsequent strategic needs.

To defeat the Orc Empire, vanguards are essential.

Hudson’s approach is rely establishing continual examples for the Kingdom’s younger generation, demonstrating the benefits of expansion.

The border ten years ago was the Northland, seven years ago was the Seven Northern Provinces, five years ago was the Near East, and now it reaches the eastern part of Snow Moon Lake.

With this pace of expansion, the current border will soon beco the Kingdom’s heartland within a few years.

Only enduring a few years of hardship, ambitious Noble Children are still willing.

In these areas, these people are the Kingdom’s most steadfast War Faction.

As the Kingdom’s territory expands further, their domains beco safer. Supporting war ans safeguarding their interests.

This is an open strategy, even if everyone knows Hudson’s plan, they must support it.

The destruction of the Orc Empire is a fundantal national policy, and every interest group must serve this strategic goal.

“The Marshal is right, these border territories indeed need governance.

Chancellor, this issue has been postponed for too long. What is your governnt’s plan?”
