Chapter 1492: Chapter 26: Unreliable Divine Spirit_3

In high spirits, I prepared to take a look at this beautiful landscape.

While wandering around, I happened to be noticed by Hudson and was invited to watch the spectacle.

However, just as they were enjoying the show and munching on lon seeds, the situation suddenly changed, forcing them to join in.

“Fine!

Two thousand miles to the east, you may choose two million square kiloters of land as the habitat for the Dark Elf Clan!”

Hudson promised without a change in expression, not caring that the land was not within their control.

“You must also ensure that you don’t harm my followers, and the Human Race must not invade the Dark Elf Clan’s territory!”

Upon hearing the added condition from the Spider Silk Goddess, Hudson rolled his eyes on the spot.

Negotiating here was only because the gains and losses of winning this battle were disproportionate, not because it couldn’t be fought.

“I’m sorry, Your Highness Goddess, we cannot et your request!

We have not been authorized by the Human Alliance to act on behalf of the entire Human Race.

If you want the Human Race to make such a promise, I suggest you descend in person to the continent, take a trip to the Human Alliance Council, and personally persuade those councilors!”

Upon hearing Hudson’s response, the originally tense atmosphere suddenly relaxed, and many strong individuals from various kingdoms showed smiles on their faces.

An Evil God causing a stir at the Human Alliance will soon lead to another myth of god-slaying on the continent.

The Human Race beca the continent’s overlord through sheer force.

In the course of their rise, more than one or two divine spirits from various races were sacrificed.

If they could be intimidated by the divine spirits of different races, what good is being an overlord?

Realizing Hudson’s malicious intent, the Spider Silk Goddess imdiately glared fiercely, her imnse majesty pressing down on Hudson.

Unfortunately, this was destined to be futile, as what greeted her was the intense battle spirit from Maxim and Belsden.

The previous fight had rely been a warm-up; they hadn’t had their fill yet!

Just as they prepared to give her a lesson, the Spider Silk Goddess realized sothing was amiss; her intuition told her that the combination of one man, one dragon, and one bear posed a greater threat than the other two Sanctuary Second Order individuals.

“Can’t represent the Human Race, then represent your own faction; don’t tell you can’t make decisions?”

The Spider Silk Goddess’s sudden concession left Ferweio and Phoenix puzzled; since when did this lady beco so agreeable?

“Fine, we, representing the Alpha Kingdom, promise: not to attack your followers proactively and will not invade their territory!”

Phoenix agreed readily.

The promise could not be reneged, but the land Hudson promised was two thousand miles from the kingdom!

The kingdom’s expansion over such a distance would take unknown ti. If it really ca to a must-fight mont, the kingdom would have turned into an empire.

What the kingdom can’t do, the empire can, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Any politician can see that these promises are flawed, but unfortunately, the Spider Silk Goddess is a divine spirit.

Two thousand miles is a long distance for a mortal, but for a divine spirit, it’s a mont’s journey.

The misconception in cognitive thinking led to a ridiculous agreent between both parties.

Soon the phantom disappeared from the sky, and the Dark Elf Queen, now restored to freedom, was so angry she almost cried.

Her own goddess was too unreliable; such an absurd agreent was fiercely fought for.

If she herself were on the case, the result would have been better.

But there’s no choice; the goddess is supre, and she had to accept her unreliability.

“Marshal Hudson, since we reached an agreent, shouldn’t the water stop now?”

The Dark Elf Queen said, suppressing her anger.

“Sorry, a flash flood upstream destroyed our waterworks, the flood now is out of control!

Not only here, but many farmlands in my jurisdiction are also flooded.

Just endure for a few more days, and the flood will recede!”

Except for minor artistic embellishnt, the rest was factual.

The release of water was under Master Hudson’s purview, but who to talk to for stopping the water—no one knew, anyway Hudson couldn’t stop the water.

Perhaps out of a guilty conscience, feeling that such conduct was very inhumane, Hudson then added:

“Water is ruthless, but people are compassionate!

Misunderstanding has been resolved; if you have any reasonable needs, you may ask us.

As long as it’s within capability, we’ll absolutely help.

After the flood recedes, a mutual trade market could be opened to trade desired goods by both parties.”

The sudden divine plot twist left many dark elves very uncomfortable, but the kingdom’s strong individuals were already immune.

Even against orcs, the kingdom can engage in smuggling activities, let alone with the Dark Elf Clan where only slight conflict occurred.

Hatred is one-sided from the Dark Elf Clan!

In the recent fight, the kingdom didn’t suffer any fatalities; it was rely a skirmish.

In contrast, the Dark Elf Clan suffered heavy losses due to Hudson’s series of tactics.

As victors, the strong individuals from the kingdom are rather magnanimous.

“Hmph!”

With a cold snort, the Dark Elf Queen imdiately led her strong clansn to intercept the water at the entrance.

As for asking the Human Race strongn for help, it was absolutely impossible.

Having just fought, if such a request were made, you’d be asking for all sorts of incidents!

In the Continent of Aslante, a race looking to thrive must rely on itself.
