Chapter 1375: Chapter 263: The Human Marshal’s Soy Pulp Project_3

Even if there are major rgers in the future, it will be difficult for the two countries to engage in a comprehensive strategic conflict.

Given the current level of productivity, no matter how strong a nation’s overall strength is, it is impossible for any country to rule the entire continent, let alone achieve unification of the South Continent.

The outside world believes that the fragntation of the Human Race is rooted in internal strife, but in reality, there is another deeper and more fundantal reason that has been deliberately overlooked by everyone.

“The territory is too vast to manage!”

If the Human Empire hadn’t fragnted and insisted on ruling all of the Human Race’s lands, it would have been impossible to maintain continental dominance, let alone foster the Human Race’s flourishing developnt.

Back then, managent was already overwhelming; now the territory of the Human Race surpasses that of the past, making unified governance even less realistic.

This is under a feudal aristocratic system, which minimizes administrative costs. If it were replaced by a feudal county system, the territory that could be directly controlled under the current productivity would shrink even further.

“Begin voting!”

As the host’s voice fell, representatives scribbled their answers on parchnt, three or five together. Compared to the previous tense and serious atmosphere, this round of voting was noticeably more relaxed.

Hudson’s achievents were undeniable and in plain sight. There was no need for underhanded operations—this was rely a procedural step.

Aside from Caesar IV, who was deeply worried, the attending representatives mostly had trademark smiles on their faces.

Voting was completed quickly, and the vote-counting process followed closely behind, emphasizing efficiency.

“The valid votes exceeded two-thirds, compliant with legal procedures. The Alliance Council has officially passed the proposal; in accordance with protocol, Duke Hudson will be formally granted the title of Marshal at a selected date!”

Late at night on the Near East battlefield, the Tatum Tribe’s camp was brightly lit, and Chief Stark was staring nervously at the newcor.

At such a sensitive mont, the presence of a human within the camp could be catastrophic if discovered.

“Don’t worry, no one saw co here.

Judging from the location of your camp, it seems your Minotaur Tribe is doing quite poorly—your position as Clan Leader hasn’t even given you access to the central zone.

But there are advantages and disadvantages to this. If you were really in the central zone, with Sanctuary Powerhouses from the Elf Race around, I wouldn’t dare enter so easily!”

The mysterious man’s sarcastic remarks almost made Chief Stark burst with anger. This was a life-risking rendezvous—couldn’t he at least be a bit more serious?

“Your boldness is comndable, but you only have concern for your own life. I, on the other hand, have the entire clan to worry about—I cannot afford the slightest negligence!

Speak, what do you need us to cooperate on this ti?”

Chief Stark asked irritably.

Deep down, he was already beginning to regret this. His instincts told him that collaborating with humans was akin to courting disaster.

But so things, once you get on board, you can’t simply step off.

If things could start over, there’s a high likelihood he’d still make the sa decision. Without accepting Hudson’s goodwill, the Minotaur Tribe would have been wiped out long ago—they wouldn’t have made it to this point.

“Relax, I won’t give you a hard ti. This is not the first ti we’re working together—when have we ever assigned you dangerous tasks?”

The mysterious man’s response slightly put Chief Stark at ease. In their past collaborations, Hudson’s assigned tasks had been relatively easy.

Almost all they did was collect routine intelligence—they didn’t even need to send people out intentionally. Simply reporting what they already knew was sufficient.

After taking the encrypted letter from the mysterious man, the figure vanished into the night in an instant.

Once confirming there were no threats, Stark slowly opened the encrypted letter. When he saw the contents, he almost doubted his own eyes.

The request was just one: during the dam construction, cut corners and create a shoddy structure.

In Chief Stark’s view, this wasn’t even a task. As long as their supervision wasn’t rigorous, the Orc workers would naturally produce substandard engineering.

Faintly, however, he sensed sothing was off. The dam construction was ant to unleash floods downstream to overwhelm the Human Race’s castles and fortresses—it didn’t need to last long, so the standards for its quality were inherently low.

If it beca even shoddier, the dam might collapse prematurely, and before the floodwaters could achieve their purpose, they’d have wiped out their own forces outside the Human Race’s stronghold.

Just imagining the Empire building a dam to breach an enemy’s defenses, only for the faulty construction to crumble prematurely and sweep away its own army made Stark’s face turn pale!

This would be an epic-level scandal, one that the entire continent’s species would laugh at for ten thousand years.

After the initial terror, a hint of excitent erged within him. The Minotaur Tribe’s current position within the Orc Empire was exceedingly awkward.

They had grown powerful enough to arouse suspicion from the ruling group; yet, they lacked the strength to overturn the status quo.

If external forces didn’t disrupt the existing structure, their fate was to serve as cannon fodder, helplessly watching the clan’s youths get consud on the battlefield.

No matter how grievous the losses, they couldn’t voice a single word of protest. Otherwise, not only would he perish, but his entire tribe would suffer the consequences.

With no other options, they could only silently accept reality. But now that an alternative presented itself, Stark’s mind began to stir.

When it ca to species survival, the Empire’s interests were worthless.

If the Royal Family and ruling clans suffered catastrophic losses and sought to maintain their control of the Empire in the face of the Human Race’s advance, they would undoubtedly seek alliances with competent species.

If events reached that stage, past collaborations with the Human Race would no longer matter.

A clear example was found in the Seven Great Royal Clans, who had accepted plenty of sponsorship from the Human Race during internal conflicts. Yet once they ascended to power, they imdiately turned their backs.

For a mont, Chief Stark beca lost in his daydreams, already envisioning the birth of the Minotaur Royal Court.

Similar episodes occurred elsewhere, as many species who had collaborated with the Human Race received encrypted letters with slightly varying instructions.

So saw through the implications, while others remained clueless, but this didn’t stop them from following the orders.

After all, with the upper echelons incessantly pressing for rapid construction progress, it was difficult to complete the dams on schedule without compromising quality.
