1089: Chapter 159, Soldier Training Academy_2 1089: Chapter 159, Soldier Training Academy_2 Potential or lack thereof, isn’t all that important.

While most trainees would end up ceasing progress at the lower echelons, with a larger base there will always be a few lucky ones who manage to stand out.

Now, they might not have access to cultivating resources to aid their training, but that doesn’t an they can’t get their hands on them after distinguishing themselves in battle in the future.

It’s unrealistic to expect everyone to break free from their social class, but helping a select few outstanding individuals to overco such barriers and create a gap in the closed Noble system is sothing Hudson could still accomplish.

After all, there is no law explicitly stating that Serfs can’t beco Nobles.

As a motivation for the soldiers to risk their lives, after each major war, the Alpha Kingdom has always promoted a few grassroots lucky ones as examples for the ordinary soldiers.

What Hudson did, was simply to increase the number of these luckier individuals, and that in the future, there might be a slight uptick in the number of people coming through.

As long as one is shaless enough and can embellish their speech, they could forcefully categorize the two as the sa.

It’s easy to draw up a plan, but the devil is in the details.

Jose, as the actual Executor, was confounded upon seeing the final plan; Hudson’s grand strategy was groundbreaking.

A super academy with over twenty thousand trainees—and with new ones joining every year—was utterly unheard of on the Continent of Aslante.

All Academy institutions combined in the Alpha Kingdom didn’t even have this many students.

A normal Academy, with all its faculty and students combined, usually only amounted to a thousand or so, rarely ever exceeding two thousand.

What others cultivated were elites, with instructors who were as strong as clouds, and students who were the cre de la cre.

Contrasted with the completely subpar Mountain Territory Soldier Academy, it’s pretty much a joke, seriously dragging down the prestige of “Academy.”

“Ha ha…”

“Jose, you’re getting too hung up on this.

If we’re worried about being laughed at, we can just change the na again, from Academy to Base.

When we make public announcents, we’ll call it: the Mountain Territory Soldier Training Base, or the Mountain Territory New Soldier Training Camp.

I reckon no Academy would dean itself by comparing with a base dedicated to soldier training!”

Hudson said nonchalantly.

What it’s called isn’t important, the key is that it can cultivate talent.

Originally, he indeed wanted to create an Academy that could stand out, but sadly, not only was the cost prohibitive, but it also wouldn’t have allowed him to mass-train talent according to his will.

“Duke, even if we don’t talk about the number of students, why recruit so many female students?

You’re not planning to form a won’s Knight Corps, are you?

That’s been tried before, with input and output completely out of proportion.”

Jose said, resigned.

His dreams shattered; he originally thought that Hudson’s Academy would be just like those on the Continent and that, as vice-principal, he would be in a command with substantial authority, leaping into high society.

Too bad Ha’s Academy had too low a standard; recruiting publicly would be an embarrassnt, not to ntion the lack of recognition from all sectors of society.

“Over five thousand female students is all, it’s not as exaggerated as you make it out to be!

Rest easy, I’m not planning to form a won’s Knight Corps; I just want to cultivate a small number of elites.

All students will adhere to the sa assessnt standards and undergo an elimination process.

Every three months there will be an exam, with ten percent of the students eliminated each ti.

After three years, those who remain are the ones we really want to focus on.

Given the differences in male and female physical strength, the number of female students who end up staying will barely be a few hundred.

We’re only going all-out on recruitnt this once; in later recruitnt rounds, we’ll slowly raise the admission standards.”

Hudson explained calmly.

As a pragmatist, selecting talent was all for the service of the upcoming war.

Recruiting so many students wasn’t just to select excellent soldiers but also to improve the quality of the population in the territory.

Although the Academy’s curriculum was primarily focused on cultivation, mixing in one or two cultural classes was still viable.

Even if they got eliminated, the rudintary knowledge learned at the school was still a precious asset.

Should they be placed in other industries in the future, their potential for developnt would be higher than a complete illiterate.

If they were to serve in the second-line troops, their exposure to war at the Academy could still prove useful.

Commanding thousands of troops is unrealistic, but a little training to serve as a Commander of ten is good enough.

However, these potentially history-changing details that might alter the future military landscape of the Continent, it wasn’t necessary to talk about them in advance.

If it beca an established fact, the Snow Moon Territory would likely have been developed by then, and a larger pie should be enough to appease the hearts of those under him.

The outside world’s criticisms and hostility would at most amount to so clamor but would not shake his foundation.

“Your Grace, setting these issues aside, shouldn’t we think about enhancing our teaching staff?

With your influence, surely many Nobles will take it seriously.

We don’t expect all instructors to be Strongn, but at least they should be at the Interdiate (level 4-6) right?”

Cain complained alongside.

When Hudson first appointed him as the educational director, he felt uneasy for a long ti.

He even thought about resigning, believing his own abilities were insufficient to manage the instructors below him.

But after seeing the instructors’ levels, Cain suddenly realized there was nothing at all wrong with him being the educational director.

Most instructors were First Order Junior Knights, inconsequential Magic Apprentices, with few First Level Mages and Second Order Interdiate Knights; his status as a Third Order Senior Knight in the Academy would make him quite the Strongman.

“Stop dreaming.

Even if they were willing to co and teach, it could only be for a short ti; most of their ti is occupied with their own affairs.
