Chapter 976: Chapter 964: I Am His Mother!

“Father, let’s move houses!” the girl Hillman pleaded with her father, no longer able to tolerate her neighbors.

“Just a few wild beasts, look at what they’ve scared you into, it’s disgraceful,” the man glanced at his daughter with so disdain and shook his head,

“We’re not moving. We’re staying right here! You need to toughen up, especially since you’re training to be a Star Armor Master. To think a wild beast could make you faint, it would be embarrassing to even speak of it,” he declared.

“Those monsters can be called wild beasts? They’re clearly different species!” Hillman argued with her father, “How can we live alongside different species?”

“What different species! They’re just wild beasts,” Hillman’s father asserted definitively.

Different species refers to all non-human intelligent races, not just one particular race. Any creature with enough intelligence to match that of humans can be called a different species.

“Hmph!” Already rejected multiple tis, the frustrated girl stord upstairs, retreating to her own bedroom.

As she drew her curtains open, she looked towards the house next door and locked eyes with a pair of blue pupils. It was a Black Feather Gold Patterned Giant Eagle building its nest on the neighboring rooftop and it had felt her gaze even before Hillman looked over.

Little girl, what are you looking at?

The massive eagle, locking eyes with this highly talented human girl, sustained the gaze. But after a few seconds, Hillman could no longer withstand the pressure from the bird of prey and succumbed.

“Huff huff!” Hillman hastily closed the curtains, panting heavily. Just a few seconds of eye contact, and her sweat had already soaked her clothes. The pressure from the nearly three-ter-tall predator was just too much for her to handle.

“That eagle definitely has intelligence comparable to humans, it’s absolutely a different species. How can the city governnt even approve that guy to keep such monsters!” Hillman rembered the boy who was working out in the courtyard a few days ago and despised him to the core.

Because of his pets, she had fainted on the spot, making it the most embarrassing mont since she was born; hence her animosity towards her neighbor grew stronger, nullifying any good impression she had initially harbored.

“The Douglas family, are they really that powerful?” the girl collapsed on her soft bed, emitting a mournful groan.

She vividly recalled everything that had happened over the last few days; because she had fainted, news spread rapidly that a new tenant with nurous dangerous beasts had moved into the villa complex.

As a result, the property managent planned to have a talk with the new tenant. However, the tenant insisted that the managent ca to him. Normally such behavior would be considered extrely arrogant, but then the tenant announced his na.

“Jelos Douglas!” Hillman uttered the na through gritted teeth.

It was that surna, the Douglas surna, that caused the villa complex’s managent to abandon their plan to confront him. Instead, the owner of the villa complex, under his own na, sent a gift as a way of welcoming the new tenant.

Also due to that surna, all the residents of the villa complex dropped their protest plans. Over the past few days, residents of the complex began relocating, seeking another place to live.

Since the greenery in the complex was quite lavish, it contained many hiding spots for big carnivorous beasts. The presence of the new tenant made everyone feel threatened.

But considering the tenant’s powerful background, the other residents had no way to make him leave, so they decided to move out themselves.

Hillman also wanted to move away and leave this place temporarily; after all, her family had more than just this property. But her father flatly refused, insisting she stay here and wouldn’t even let her change rooms.

“I must be adopted; I bet I was picked up sowhere. To make

live next to a bunch of different species and ferocious beasts!” Lying on her bed, the girl turned over and stared at the ceiling, thinking sowhat resignedly.

Disturbed by the group of large beasts next door, Hillman hadn’t slept well for several days, leaving her sowhat neurasthenic.

“Jelos, the commotion you’ve caused this ti is a bit too much!” Next door to the girl, a mother and son who had just finished their al were talking.

“What’s wrong?” Muria leaned on a Kodiak Sabertooth Tiger, controlling the hand components of a set of star armor.

“Because of your move in, there’s been a significant loss of residents in the villa complex, and interest from potential buyers has greatly diminished too. These last few days, property values have dropped 10%, and the downward trend is continuing!”

Susanna, looking at the video that popped up on her mobile terminal, half-jokingly said to Muria, “You alone have lowered the entire area’s property value.”

“What does that have to do with ? These guys are just too cowardly. I’ve already told them, my pets are harmless and very obedient!” Muria responded nonchalantly and gently stroked the fur of the oversized Sabertooth Tiger behind him.

“Who do you think would believe that?” Susanna raised an eyebrow, looking at the massive saber-toothed tiger serving as her son’s cushion. The tiger, just by lying on the ground, was almost a ter high; one could imagine the oppressive force it would bring when it stood upright before regular humans.

“Whether they believe it or not doesn’t concern , I’ve already said what I had to, and the governnt has certified these pets of mine.” Muria said distractedly.

The ferocious beasts by his side all had the consciousness of his legendary minions attached to them. Over the years, their strength had improved by leaps and bounds, and handling so of the middle to low tier Star Armor Masters was basically no problem for them now.

And having nurtured them to this level, Muria naturally wanted to find a way to keep them by his side. These beasts, now so powerful, were of course not usually allowed to enter human realms under normal circumstances.

But through his surna, he successfully managed to obtain the necessary permits from the city governnt, granting him the legal right to keep these wild beasts!

However, although Muria was indifferent to the consequences of his actions, he hadn’t anticipated that such an abnormal behavior would propel him to the top of the local news headlines.

Moreover, the boost from his identity made this news spread and fernt rapidly through the Virtual Network, and thus Muria beca an overnight sensation on the Virtual Network.

“Beast King! Zoo director? Hahaha, this kid’s got so skills, huh? To have dosticated so many ferocious beasts.” In a bustling business skyscraper thousands of miles away from Muria’s city, a blonde-haired woman glanced at the trending news and slacked off quietly.

After all, she was an entrepreneur and no one was above her to dictate her actions, so she sneaked in a bit of slacking off while casually monitoring her employees.

“Hmm, this must be a Black Armored Python!” Salina flipped through the pictures but felt an impulse to take a closer look at the python peeking through the dense tree crown in one of the photos, squinting her eyes.

“This python, it shouldn’t be older than three years, but judging from the part of it that is visible, it must be close to 20 ters long; this size is not sothing a normal Black Armored Python would have! It’s a mutated species!”

Salina continued to browse through photos of the beasts kept by the now Internet-famous Beast King. The angles of the photos suggested they were taken secretly, so they were very incomplete, showing only parts of the beasts’ torsos.

But these glimpses were enough, as with her knowledge, she could determine the approximate age of these beasts and their size.

“This Beast King is no ordinary person; the beasts he’s raised have all exceeded their original racial limits!”

Salina kept flipping through the pictures, her gaze sharpening slightly, “The Beast King is just a pre-adolescent about to enter junior high, only twelve years old this year!”

“Isn’t this age quite close to when Little Muria arrived?” Salina’s eyes narrowed slightly, instinctively feeling that this handso young boy in the photo might be the reincarnated body of her son.

“Too far away. If I could see him up close, I would know if he is my son! Pictures alone aren’t enough.” The Golden Dragon Mother stroked her chin thoughtfully and continued to scrutinize the photos, through which she could infer a lot of information, such as where the young man who could be her son’s reincarnation lived.

“Dinglingling!” The crisp sound of a telephone ringing resonated in the living room. Susanna, who was watching an entertainnt show on the couch, picked up the landline and put it to her ear without a word, waiting for the person on the other line to speak first.

“Hello!” At the other end of the phone, a young woman’s voice ca through, clear and pleasant to the ears.

“May I ask if this is the Douglas residence?”

“Who are you?” Susanna regained a bit of patience upon hearing the female voice, and inquired.

“I’m his mother, can you put him on the phone? I have so things I want to say to him!”

“Click!” Susanna hung up the phone expressionlessly, then slamd her hand on the shattered landline.

“What’s wrong?” Muria, who had just finished getting ready and was in his bathrobe, saw the wrecked landline and asked with so curiosity.

“Just another one who’s a bit too smart for their own good, figured out our phone number, and called to try to ride on our coattails.” There was a look of annoyance on Susanna’s face. Ever since her son beca famous overnight, she hadn’t been free from harassnt, but this was still the first ti she had encountered sothing this bizarre.

“What did she say?”

“She said she’s your mother!” Susanna rolled her eyes, sounding a bit irritated. After hearing Susanna’s response, Muria, who was drying his hair, paused montarily…
