Chapter 954: 942

“I’m not qualified? Do you even know what you’re saying, Doctor?” Hearing Allen’s words, Madam Haya laughed.

“Of course, I know. Every word I speak is carefully considered,” Allen replied, neither servile nor overbearing. Her confidence was so solid that she remained composed even before the ruling class of the Earth Star Civilization.

“Knowing that, you still dare to refuse ?”

“Indeed, I believe Your Excellency understands the foresight needed here. You could prevent

from leaving this door, take all the Life Crystals I possess, but you are also aware of the consequences! You would irreversibly sever ties with that being.”

“Why would you expect soone who desires immortality to stay rational?” Heya asked with a laugh, the allure of youthfulness was sothing she, an old soul, could not resist.

“Because for you now, immortality is rely sothing you can achieve with a bit of effort, there’s no need for you to take risks any further!”

“You truly are a doctor!” Heya laughed upon hearing Allen’s words. A smile spread across her face, her stern expression dissolved, and the tense atmosphere in the living room dissipated in an instant.

“Go on, tell , aside from , which other old fellows in the council have you targeted?”

“All council mbers over the age of seventy are my targets. I’ll try to persuade them!” Allen responded decisively. There was nothing to conceal; this was an outright, open strategy!

She was frankly using the temptation of eternal life to turn mbers of Earth Star’s ruling class from the Hawk Faction to the Dove Faction, transforming them into staunch opponents of a war against Pandora World.

“An excellent target group, but I’m afraid there are a few people you cannot tempt with this approach!”

“Why not?” Allen asked, puzzled. In her view, no human could refuse the temptation of immortality.

“Allen, you are still too young, you’ve seen too few people. Not everyone fears death, and while immortality indeed holds great allure, in the face of their upheld justice, everything can be forsaken.”

Allen smiled, recalling so experiences from her younger days. Indeed, most of the world fears death, but there’s always a small number who, for their so-called ideal goals or justice, can face death with composure. Tempting such people with immortality was undoubtedly a fool’s dream.

“So, what should I do?”

“I could act as an interdiary for you, make contact with those old fellows!” Allen said with a smile, “However, as an interdiary, taking a small commission should be alright, shouldn’t it?”

“That’s acceptable!” After a brief hesitation, Allen nodded, realising that she was still rather unseasoned compared to these old-tirs who frequented the political arena.

“Very well!”

Madam Haya was incredibly efficient. The day after she reached an agreent with Allen, she swiftly invited several old-tirs like herself whose lives were nearing their end.

Then, quite naturally, when these elderly council mbers saw Haya and Allen, who had regained the appearance of being twenty years younger, they were imdiately swayed and got a taste of youth regained by twenty years.

Afterward, when they heard that halting the war between the factions would grant them longevity, the council mbers instantly beca part of the Dove Faction of the Earth Star Civilization.

The council mbers started to reach out to other mbers through their networks once more, and the power of the Dove Faction in Earth Star’s ruling class crazily expanded.

Not only the elderly desired immortality, but so did those approaching old age or in the pri of life who contemplated what their own decline would entail; the temptation was hard to resist.

But with the increase in numbers, so unusual ideas began to take root in the hearts of these humans wielding imnse power and resources.

In a slightly darkened eting room, thirty-odd council mbers with substantial power and resources were sparsely seated.

“How is everyone feeling now?”

“Do you even need to ask that? It’s absolutely fantastic, I haven’t felt as good as today in decades,” ca the reply.

“I feel the sa, after using that small crystal, all the jumbled stuff in my body was removed, and my personal doctor told

that I wouldn’t need the assistance of those devices for the next ten years.”

“Good, it seems everyone is quite interested in the little toy brought by a woman nad Dr. Allen!”

“Speak directly about what you want to say, don’t beat around the bush, we are all on the sa side now.”

“Are you satisfied with the current situation, or don’t you want to obtain more Life Crystals?” an elderly voice asked with a seductive tone.

“Although my health has greatly improved from before, if possible, I still want to have a body as strong as when I was twenty years old!”

“That aspiration, I think, is the sa for everyone, we all want to have a young and vibrant physique!”

The key to achieving this lies in the Life Crystals that the woman doctor presented, which, according to her, were condensed by a being powerful enough to explode the Glory Battleships with a single punch, a godlike figure.

According to her, we can only acquire more Life Crystals by following the instructions of that otherworldly Deity! Although this is a very fair trade, I think it can be slightly altered.”

“What are you planning to do? Jorge Viotti, I warn you not to fool around, this is currently the only way to extend our lifespans. If you dare destroy this channel, no matter what power or status you hold, we will join forces to erase you from this world.”

“I have no intention of fooling around, I just want to verify what Dr. Allen said. Can only the Deity produce the Life Crystals? Is there a possibility that they are a rare natural resource of the Pandora World? If so, then we can do sothing else, like take control of these resources.”

“That’s not sothing we need to think about any further. I’ve already taken those crystals back for testing. They are a very pure form of life force, which nature could not possibly generate. Even if they were generated, they would be imdiately consud by the surrounding plants or animals!”

“So if we want to continue obtaining Life Crystals, we can only act according to the Deity’s commands, be his dogs? Although I have done such things before, I feel I can’t do them now!”

“You put it too harshly. Our relationship with him is just a partnership!”

“Too harshly? We’re all businesspeople here, doesn’t this situation seem all too familiar? The Spirit is the only supplier of Life Crystals, we can’t find any existence to replace him, so he can arbitrarily decide the price we have to pay to get Life Crystals. He essentially holds the knife in his hand!”

“If you’re unhappy with the situation, do you have any suggestions?”

“We want to eat at, so we breed livestock. We want to wear wool coats, so we rear sheep. Since we need the Life Crystals produced by the Deity, why don’t we capture and breed him? Make him follow our will!”

“Heh, Jorge, is this what you called us to discuss in this eting? If so, I should leave now. I don’t have ti to waste with you!”

“Have you lost your mind? A being that can destroy a Glory Battleship with one hand, and you actually want to imprison him and treat him like cattle or sheep? Have you not understood? In his eyes, we are the cattle and sheep.”

“Your suggestion is absurd. Let’s not even talk about whether you can imprison the Spirit, but even if you did, then what? Make him create Life Crystals that extend lifespan for you? How is that different from holding a gun to a surgeon’s head while they perform brain surgery?”

“Why get so worked up? It’s just a proposal, albeit a bold one! If you disagree, you can just veto it!”

Hearing the cursing and yelling in the conference room, the ambitious councilor with so unconventional ideas, Jorge Viotti, laughed.

“Councilor Jorge, your suggestion is indeed bold, consistent with your previous modus operandi, but before you propose, please carefully consider one thing: during our invasion of the Pandora World, the Deity never fully exerted himself. To this day, we do not know the extent of what he can do!”

“That’s right, there’s sothing I feel I must ntion! Such a high-level life form is likely to possess the ability to traverse Outer Space without any object. Therefore, not only can we send Spaceships into the Pandora World, this entity can also enter our world from Pandora!”

“Are you suggesting that if we anger this entity, any one of us sitting here may face his wrath?”

“If that’s the case, I think it’s very necessary for both sides to maintain peace and not start any more wars!”

Hearing this shocking news, one councilor suddenly beca quite restless. He could willingly sign off and agree to a war happening billions of miles away, after all, the shells wouldn’t fall on his head.

But now it was different. If a war were to start now, they could potentially face a being capable of destroying a main battleship with his bare hands. Therefore, to prevent this, the war really couldn’t continue.
