Chapter 874: Chapter 862: Death and the Sleep Deity

Although their battle was abruptly ended, leaving many Titans in a subdued mood, not a single Titan lashed out at any unrelated beings in an act of emotional venting—such was their exceptional self-control.

After exchanging glances, the Titans proceeded in the direction indicated by the Lich. They had co to this necropolis to witness Lord Hades refining the captured legend from another realm.

“Quite bold!” Muria paused next to the Undead creature that had co to direct them, sizing him up as the rest of the Titans continued onward.

“Your Majesty jests!” The Lich, standing on the prostrated body of the sculpturally disguised Evil Beast, chuckled nervously. His power was formidable, but not unfathomably deep; he was the first being Muria encountered in the Palace of Lord Hades whose strength he could keenly perceive.

“What position do you hold within the Undead Council?” Muria suddenly asked.

“Thanks to Lord Hades’ favor, I temporarily serve as the speaker of the Undead Council!” The Lich replied with extre humility.

“Not bad,” Muria nodded, then continued, “Does the Undead Council still uphold the tradition of annihilating nations every century?”

“Your Majesty, with your identity, nothing of importance that happens on the continent can escape your notice. Have you heard of any nation being destroyed by our Undead Council in the past few centuries?”

“Hmm, this is good!” Muria nodded and strode toward the Palace of Lord Hades in front.

“What a pity!” At that mont, a sigh reached Muria’s ears. He glanced sideways and saw Heloise looking regretfully at the Undead Giant Beast beneath the current speaker of the Undead Council.

“There’s nothing to pity, just an Undead Behemoth refined into servitude!” Seeing Heloise sigh, Muria replied with a smile, having already recognized the origin of the Undead creature beneath the speaker of the Undead Council.

“This Undead Behemoth had the power at the pinnacle of legends. If it were still alive, it would never be prostrated on the ground like this!”

“That’s true!” Muria grinned. The Behemoth was one of the few legendary creatures that could stand equal in battle with a Titan.

“I regret never having battled a living Behemoth. Now, all I see is a dead one!”

“You could have it fight you.”

“Just so Undead driven by a few instincts, it’s not interesting!”

During their conversation, Muria and Heloise entered the largest building, the Palace of Lord Hades. Upon entering, Muria imdiately saw the Black Gigantic Egg wrapped in nurous black chains.

Dark Death God Runes were inscribed upon it, securely sealing the creature within. Faint yet soul-piercing roars emanated from it, and the egg occasionally trembled faintly, as if the encapsulated creature might shatter its bonds at any mont.

“Is this the legend captured by Lord Hades?” Muria looked up at the imnse Black Egg, astonishnt gleaming in his eyes. Just by gazing at the egg, he felt waves of heart-pounding oppression.

This was a sealed egg. Muria had not seen what sort of Evil God lay within, yet it gave him the sa sensation he felt in his youth when he encountered an Evil God in the chanism Emperor’s Sky chanical City.

The Evil God captured by the chanism Emperor was in a locked state, not openly sealed as the one before him, and Muria’s strength at that ti was worlds apart from what it was now.

Yet now he felt the sa, which suggested the imnse power of this Evil God captured by Hades. It goes without saying how overwhelmingly powerful Hades must be to have captured such a creature.

“How does it feel?” As the group of Titans observed the sealed giant egg containing the otherworldly legend, a voice, tinged with warmth, reached their ears.

The Titans looked toward the source of the voice, and imdiately saw a majestic being who had taken his seat on the Black-Gold Throne at the top of the chamber, watching over them.

“Lord Hades!” Upon seeing the appearance of Lord Hades, all the invited Titans respectfully bowed their heads, paying homage to him,

Setting aside the deep-seated ties between Lord Hades and the Titan Tribe that could hardly be severed, his treatnt of the Titans alone rited their utmost respect.

Expending his own Divine Power to craft opponents matching their own strength for them to engage in fervent battle was a privilege Muria had not experienced in the Titan Clan Lands.

And yet, such lavish treatnt was here bestowed upon them by a Lord Hades with whom he shared no Bloodline connection.

“Are you all satisfied with my hospitality?” Hades asked gently, a stark contrast to the attitude he reserved for the Deities of the Temple of All Gods.

“Thank you…” Upon hearing Hades’ question, the Titans all gave their responses one after the other. After a brief exchange, Hades quickly got to the point.

“Enough small talk, I won’t say much more. I’m going to start refining this Evil God now, you all just step aside and watch, and don’t make any moves,” Hades said.

After he finished speaking, without any apparent movent from Hades who was seated upon his Divine Throne, an endless surge of the power of world laws flooded from his Divine Kingdom, enveloping the sealed Demon Lord within.

Desperate struggles and roars ca from the imnse Black Egg; facing its impending end, the Demon Lord began to struggle frenziedly in futility. However, a splendid array of seven-colored light descended from beyond the Divine Kingdom.

This beam of light broke through Hades’ kingdom effortlessly, covering the sealed Black Gigantic Egg within it, and instantly, the sounds of struggling and roaring from the egg diminished significantly.

Mountains, earth, rivers, peaks, plains, seas, sky, stars… Muria stared at the seven-colored light enveloping the egg, and he saw much within it, as if the entire world was imprinted in his eyes.

This was the Law of the world; clearly, as Hades refined this otherworldly Epic, the world bestowed its power of law to assist him because, in a sense, Hades, who had been deified, had beco a part of the world itself.

Refining this otherworldly Epic was equivalent to strengthening the world’s source power, so the world lent its law to help him; helping Hades was helping itself to enhance its essence.

Faced with the descent of the world’s law, Hades remained seated on his Throne undisturbed, an eventuality within his expectations,

All the Titans, including Muria, were nearly imrsed in the light manifested from the conflict of the laws of the world and those of the foreign entity, with various anomalies erging frequently. With each passing mont within this Light of Law, Muria gained imnse insights, and torrents of information flooded into his mind.

Muria could feel that he was growing stronger, his foundations building up; he felt the barriers to his breakthrough to the Legendary Peak were crumbling one after another—he had already seen his path.

As he continuously gained new insights, Muria realized he was gradually able to discern the scene within the Black Egg—a Giant Demon Ape that was furiously struggling, entwined in chains of Death Qi within a world composed of death, and seven-colored thunderbolts from the heavens struck down, annihilating the laws upon its body.

The Demon Lord’s struggles were agonizing and powerless. With each breath and second, the laws within its body were devoured, erased by Erathia World’s innate laws, leaving it almost completely defenseless.

It was indeed mighty, but faced with the refinent by world laws of a world guided by an Epic even more powerful than him before his divinity, its resistance was utterly futile.

Fine hairs, shattered bone fragnts were cleaved from the Demon Lord’s body by the law-enforced thunderbolts, and, having undergone the purification of the laws, these seemingly insignificant pieces separated from the Black Egg, now fully assimilated.

As these hairs and bone fragnts landed, sothing occurred that made Muria’s eyes widen—in the presence of the Laws of Death controlled by Hades, outside of the world’s laws.

One after another, fiercely powerful Undead erged within these Laws of Death, converted from the Demon Lord’s hairs and bones, and each newly born Undead creature, the least powerful of which was at the Soul Intent Level, possessed a distinctive aura different from the ordinary Soul Intent.

A steady stream of powerful Undead were being born around the Black Egg; upon their ergence, they would leave the Palace of Lord Hades on their own and proceed to the rest of the desolate buildings within the Underworld Palace to stand guard.

Muria watched intently as Hades used the body of an otherworldly Epic to craft his own Divine Kingdom’s Legion.

Clang!

Suddenly, a piercing sharp aura spread out, awaking all the Titans who were engrossed in the enlightennt of the laws. Muria looked up and saw Hades, who had been harnessing the world’s laws to refine the otherworldly Demon Lord, now standing, wielding a Battle Sword that had appeared in his hand at an unknown ti.

Hades raised the sword in his hand, and then with a slash of the Sword of the Underworld King, an inconspicuous black sword light swept across, cleaving the Black Egg in two. Muria instinctively stepped back.

However, nothing happened. The Demon Lord had been completely obliterated by the laws, and all that was left was chaos. At that mont, this chaos emitted a strange aura—the aura of source power.

But it seed this source power could not be extracted. Yet, by the looks of it, Hades had another way to utilize it.

Indeed, Muria saw that Hades had slashed open his own wrist with the Battle Sword and spilled his blood, which teed with vitality and pure Death Qi, onto the two chaotic masses.

Under the blood of Lord Hades, the two chaotic forms imdiately began to transform, gradually taking on human shapes, then powerful Divine Might spread and continuously ascended. Subsequently, two towering figures erged, and as their bodies had just begun to take shape, pieces of Black armor appeared on the surface of their bodies, enveloping them.

Finally, two deities clad in Purple-Black Armor appeared in the great hall; after a mont of disorientation, they imdiately knelt on one knee and worshipped Hades.

“We greet the Divine Lord!”
