Chapter 698: Chapter 690: The Robbed Muria

“Huh?” The obese tax official squinted and tried to open his eyes wide upon hearing Muria’s words. “What? You don’t want to pay? Let

tell you, the rule established by Lord Barbosa requires every ship docked at Blackstone Harbor to pay docking fees. No exceptions are allowed, even Legendary Undead’s ship is no exception. Are you planning to oppose Lord Barbosa?”

Finishing his words, the tax official laughed dismissively, casually looking at the Vengeful Spirits tied up on the deck below him. He pulled one out and stuffed it into his mouth, chewing while giving Muria a provocative look.

“Captain Sparrow, keep calm.” Seeing Muria take a step forward, sensing sothing wrong, Gibbs hurriedly ca in, bowing and scraping to the bloated tax official.

“Um, sir, our captain has just taken office and is here for the first ti. He is not very familiar with the situation here, please be understanding.”

Gibbs, previously just a skeleton dressed in shabby captain’s attire, now looked like a human as he had regained his vital energy. He wore an ingratiating smile and handed a money bag that kept emitting groaning sounds to the tax official.

“At least you know better.” The fat tax official, whose eyes could hardly open, took the money bag, gently padded it two tis, and looked satisfied. He then glanced at Muria.

“You should educate your captain on the rules of Blackstone Harbor! Is your background big? Can it be bigger than Lord Barbosa?”

After finishing, the undead tax official turned into a black mist and disappeared. Seeing this, Muria clenched her fist, restraining herself from acting impulsively. She knew the principle of patience leading to success. She then turned to Gibbs.

“How much money did you give him? Judging by his reaction, it must be more than thirty-six hundred Wraith Coins!”

“Captain, I gave an extra four hundred Wraith Coins.” Gibbs replied with an embarrassed smile, hoping the captain would be understanding, and reimburse him for his loss. “It’s the money that I worked hard to save.”

“Oh, four thousand Wraith Coins?” Muria nodded, taking note of this debt. Revenge must be ten thousand fold. Yes, after he figured out the purchasing value of these coins, he must plunder four billion worth of resources from Blackstone Harbor as compensation. Even though those four thousand Wraith Coins were not his, wasn’t it the sa? Isn’t the subordinate’s money his own? There is no difference.

Don’t ask why this number is a bit large, his math is inherently poor, especially for this kind of compensation. He could only calculate big numbers, four thousand multiplied by ten thousand equals four billion. Indeed, he didn’t get it wrong, at least until he snatched four billion in resources, this was correct.

“Captain Sparrow, don’t act impulsively! This is Blackstone Harbor and the Legendary Undead is rumored to reside here. I know you have a strong background, but it won’t be of any use here!”

“Oh, is that so?” Muria nodded impassively. “Let’s go and take a look. I’d like to see what’s so special about Blackstone Harbor.”

“Captain, do you have any good goods that you can sell to our Blackbone rchants Association first? I can give you the best price and we won’t let you lose.”

“Captain, do you have any living people? Our Blue Soul rchants Association can buy a robust human for a hundred Wraith Coins, this is the highest price in this area.”

As soon as Muria got off the ship, a group of undead surrounded him like bloodhounds catching the sll of blood, clamoring crazily at him. After hearing a few words, Muria understood that these guys were all here to buy his spoils of war.

Every Ghost Ship returning to Blackstone Harbor had so good things on board, and these guys were here to buy them, or rather they were here to take advantage.

“Go away, all of you get out of here, a bunch of damn hyenas, dare to cheat my captain.” Gibbs, who had always been nodding and bowing in front of Muria, and even kowtowing in front of the aforentioned tax official, suddenly beca arrogant. He forcibly drove the rchants, and the rchants all backed off with laughter.

“It is Gibbs, what happened? You switched sides, where is Captain Martin?” A undead rchant asked with a playful smile.

“None of your business,” Gibbs replied. Losing his long-ti superior suddenly was sowhat distressing for him. Now when an undead provoked him, he glared in anger.

“Interesting, there’s even more life here than I expected.” As Gibbs chased away the rchants, Muria curiously looked around. Everything he saw was an eye-opener. Undead gathering places are typically associated with death and quietness, but this place was different.

“Captain Sparrow, don’t let them trick you, they are just small rchants with no solid background, thinking like hyenas wanting to take advantage. If you have any spoils to sell in the future, go to those big rchants who have shops in the port, they are established and won’t play any tricks, you can rest assured that you won’t be cheated.” Gibbs led Muria and others to a specific place while explaining the details to Muria.

“This is no different from the human world!” Muria looked around at the chaotic scene, he saw undead who would fight each other over a small dispute, he saw abominations who could hold a group of seductive female ghosts and walk arrogantly past…

“Barbosa really is a talent!” Muria couldn’t help shaking his head in amazent at the chaotic scene in front of him. He had to admit his admiration for this Great Lich.

Due to the stringent hierarchical constraints, the undead were conventionally considered a law-abiding race. Yet, here he observed utter chaos. The seemingly orderly race had been maneuvered into disorder by the undead captain. Muria felt as if he was at a bustling pirate port, only that the lively beings in action were the undead.

“Hold on, your armor looks nice.” As Muria was engrossed admiring his surroundings, a team of twelve death knights stopped him. Their towering leader, full of arrogance, directly demanded Muria’s armor.

“Take off your armor as a tribute to , I am a…”

Bang!

Before the death knight could finish his sentence, a wise lich behind Muria stepped forward and gave him a Death Finger. His Soul Fire was imdiately extinguished. The knight’s tall Skeletal body wobbled and fell off his horse, hitting the ground with a thud.

Neigh! The masterless skeletal warhorse beca frantic. Its front hooves reared high as a Nether Fire swept over it, ready to trample Muria.

“Silence!” Witnessing the skeletal warhorse acting in revenge for its owner, Muria glared at it. He invoked his Ghoul Intent from his armor, causing the warhorse to kneel before him, offering its saddle.

“Good boy!” Satisfied, Muria nodded, then straddled it, and hopped on.

“How dare you harm…” A death knight pointed shakily at Muria, but before he could announce the status of the knight just killed, a black light beam tore through his skull. His Soul Fire also silently perished.

The remaining death knights tried to flee. However, Muria, who wasn’t about to let them go, had his liches attack and wipe out the small knight team effortlessly.

Wiping out a minor death knight troop hardly attracted the attention of the undead in the area. This developnt gave Muria a deeper appreciation of the level of chaos here. It followed the basic principle of the rule of the strong. Survival of the fittest at its rawest.

Muria quite enjoyed this raw rule. Throughout the entire Blackstone Harbor, it seed that apart from Lord Barbosa, the master of Ghost Sea, no one else’s fists were larger than his.

Eventually, Muria rode a skeletal warhorse provided by a death knight of unknown affiliation through Blackstone Harbor, not caring about the origins of the death knight he had just killed.

“What’s the matter, Gibbs?” Muria looked at Gibbs, leading the way. With his vitality restored, Gibbs had turned into a stocky middle-aged man with a bushy beard. His worried face often glanced around as if worried about suddenly being attacked.

“Are you worried about sothing? Because of those death knights earlier? Do they have so astonishing background?”

“Captain Sparrow, you were too quick. I’m pretty sure those guys were from the Black Knight Pirate Group.”

“What’s the deal with the Black Knight Pirate Group?” Muria, looking at Gibbs’ apprehensive expression, found it rather amusing, “Do they have a Legend backing them?”

“Not a Legend, per se,” Gibbs laughed awkwardly. This big shot casually spoke of Legends as if they were as common as weeds on the roadside.

“They do have five death knights at Peak of Soul Intent, who they say might break through to beco Legends at any ti. So, at Blackstone Harbor, not many dare provoke them.”

“So, just having a few knights who might break into becoming Legends at any ti is enough to rule Blackstone Harbor?” Muria found that surprising. Though large, the scale of the Blackstone Harbor seed more low-key than he had expected.

“That’s already quite formidable, Captain Sparrow!”

“Oh!” Muria nodded and dismissed a pirate group that didn’t even have a single Legend at the back of his mind, “Where are we going now? To recruit crew mbers?”

“Yes, Captain Sparrow, we are short of crew. So many cannons need to be manned by undead. Though the Ghost Ship can fire on its own, the aim is not good. We need to recruit a large number of gunners, crew mbers, and navigators. My navigator knowledge is not perfect.”
