Chapter 317: Chapter 312: Thunder
“Finally, it’s dead.” Looking at the Elental Lord lying in front of him, the out-of-breath Muria let out a sigh of relief. The gravitational domain that had been pressing on Muria was dissipated with the Elental Lord’s death, making him feel light and much more relaxed.
“I’ve just slain a Legend.” Seeing the Elental Lord before him now reduced to a pile of rocks, a look of satisfaction crossed Muria’s face.
Despite the Lord seeming off, appearing like a badly-wounded preemie, even at its worst, it was still a Legend, capable of instantaneously killing most entities at the Soul Intent Level.
Unfortunately, it had bad luck to run into Muria, a rare Hybrid Titan. Even if it had encountered a pure-blooded Soul Intent Level Titan, it would not have perished.
Generally speaking, underage Titans at most possess one weapon forged from Legendary tal. This level of power is insufficient to kill an Elental Lord, since ordinary Titans do not possess a piece of Legendary armor capable of enhancing their power.
“Delicious food.” Just as Muria was gloating over his impressive feat, a small figure rushed past him and jumped onto the remains of the Earth Elental Lord, digging frantically.
“Yingdila!” Muria, in his Dragon Titan Form, bent down and lifted Yingdila, who had returned to her primitive form, by the scruff of her neck. “What are you trying to do?”
“I want to eat sothing yummy.” Yingdila looked up at Muria with big, innocent eyes.
“You barely helped in defeating the Earth Elental Lord, and now you want the spoils of war.” Muria looked at the tiny creature flailing in his hand. “Give
one reason why I should give you the Elental Heart.”
“You promised
earlier.”
“I told you to deal with them yourself. I didn’t say I would risk my life fighting the Elental Lord while you wait to reap the rewards.”
“I wanted to help. You told
to observe.”
“…” Muria was silent, looking at Yingdila whose big eyes were twinkling at him.
“Muria, if you let
have this yummy thing, I’ll do whatever you say in the future.” Yingdila, who had already sensed the heartbeat of the Earth Elental Lord’s heart, looked at it longingly, then turned to look at Muria, promising shalessly.
Hearing Yingdila’s words, Muria narrowed his eyes. The Elental Lord’s heart did not match his properties and he couldn’t use it to enhance his strength. He could only embed it in a magic staff or weapon, or use it as a material to set up a magic array or sacrifice to the deity.
So, this invaluable treasure wasn’t of much use to Muria. Weighing the pros and cons, it seed better to use it to improve his relationship with Yingdila, a creature from the Void with infinite potential.
“Alright, since you’re behaving well, this Earth Elental Lord’s heart is yours.” Muria put Yingdila down. “But only the heart is yours. The body is mine.”
“Okay!” Upon hearing this, Yingdila’s eyes curved into crescents from her wide smile.
“Here, take it.” Muria walked over to the Elental Lord’s remains, put away his Sun-Chasing Spear and the Damo Sword, dug out the heart crystal radiating earth yellow spirit light, and handed it to Yingdila.
“Howl!” Yingdila accepted the Earth Elental Heart, which was larger than herself, swallowed it in one bite, and then eagerly watched Muria, who was equipped with the Seven Sins Blade and picking through the Lord’s remains.
“Go and digest the Earth Elental Heart.” Muria, who had found a piece of Fine Gold from the Elental Lord’s remains, noticed Yingdila’s gaze and felt a bit helpless. “The body is mine. Wait for
to finish picking through it before I can give it to you.”
“You’ve picked all the good stuff. What’s left doesn’t taste good.” Yingdila murmured in a low voice. After swallowing the Elental Lord’s heart, she was still not satisfied, even though she was feeling satiated.
Of all kinds of Elental entities, if one had to choose one for combat, everyone would likely choose to confront the Earth Elentals.
The reason is simple: defeating Earth Elentals yields the largest reward. With other types of Elental bodies, only those of high level will leave behind a Crystal Core after being defeated. Low-level beings don’t leave anything.
But Earth Elentals are different. Even after defeating the lowest level of Earth Elentals, you might gain Extraordinary tals. When defeating high-level Earth Elental entities, in addition to a hundred percent chance of obtaining an Earth Elental Crystal Core, you could also get various grades of Extraordinary tal and even Legendary tal.
In short, the body of a high-level Earth Elental is of much greater value than its heart.
“It seems I’m quite lucky.” Muria cheerfully found another piece of Mithril Ore in the Elental Lord’s remains. He was in a great mood.
He had already found several types of Legendary tal Ore. Although the amounts weren’t large, it was still not bad. After all, this Elental Lord was only over ten thousand years old, quite “young” compared to those ancient lords in the Earth Elental Realm.
“Not bad!” After digging out a human-sized Vast Earth Yellow Gold Ore from the Elental Lord’s remains, Muria didn’t find any more Legendary tal Ore, only so high-quality, dium- to High-Grade Extraordinary tal Ore.
The Elental Lord itself was a moving mine of Extraordinary Compound tals, so its body was so tough that even Muria could not forcibly break it apart. Instead, he had to slowly wear it down using the soul-breaking properties of his weapon.
Of course, the main reason was that Muria’s strength was not enough to fully unleash the power of his Exclusive Weapon. If a Legendary Titan held an Exclusive Weapon, they would deal with an Elental Lord just like Muria dealing with an Elder Elental. Maybe not one-shot each, but it wouldn’t be far off.
…After gathering all the Extraordinary tal Ore scattered on the ground, the Miniature Earth Elent Realm under Muria’s feet was almost collapsing. Without the support of the Elental Lord, the large channel connecting to the Earth Elental Realm couldn’t sustain itself.
“Yingdila, pick your next target.” Muria, glancing at a purple orb surrounded by countless thunders, spoke without turning his head.
“I pick that one.” Before Muria could reach out his hand to transport her again, Yingdila hastily added another sentence while stuffing a few pieces of Extraordinary tal Ore into her mouth.
“Okay, be careful. Try not to wake up that Ice Elental Lord.” Muria cautioned.
“Understood.”
After casting a quick glance at the sleeping Elental Lord on the frosty land, Muria spread his wings and flew towards the Mini Thunder Elent World resounding with thunder.
