Chapter 241: Chapter 236: Ghost Ship
“Where are the dragons?” Muria, who teleported nearly ten thousand remaining humans from Cecil City to Ezreal City, asked as he looked at the sowhat empty sky where only a few gemstone dragons were flying.
During his first rescue, he brought back twenty thousand humans. Then, nurous giant dragons, mainly gemstone dragons and so indifferent Green Bronze and Red Copper Dragons, could be seen soaring in the sky above Ezreal City.
The ancient dragons let the young giant dragons hunt the liches, attracting the attention of the legends of the Undead Council. Of course, this was all voluntary, there was no coercion, as they were all relatives. If they wished to join, they would. If not, they could remain in Ezreal City, acting as re bystanders.
As for the fate of the humans after killing the liches, it was the sa. If the dragons wanted to save them, they would. If not, that was alright too, it all depended on a dragon’s preference.
No dragon would make any reproachful remarks, the giant dragons owed nothing to humans.
“Where have all the dragons gone?” Muria, standing atop the relatively intact lord’s castle, frowned with dissatisfaction. Below him, a multitude of Cecil refugees walked out of the castle’s main gate in an orderly manner, guided by a Green Dragon.
A gust of wind roared as a Jade Dragon, its scales shimring subtly, landed next to Muria. After glancing at Fiona, who stood quietly by Muria’s side, its eyes full of curiosity turned to Muria.
“Muria, you’ve saved so many humans again?” The seemingly young Jade Dragon didn’t even give a glance to the human refugees below, but instead stared directly at Muria.
“Hmm!” Slling sothing strange in the air, Muria’s face twitched as he gave a cold nod. Because this Jade Dragon, was a female.
“Muria, why have you saved so many humans? You’re not a lord dragon; how do you plan to settle them?”
Among the giant dragons who had followed the ancient dragons to the Bavaria Kingdom, only the Golden and Silver Dragons, as well as so lord dragons were willing to rescue humans, with the lord dragons being the most active.
The Bavaria Kingdom, which has been targeted by the Undead Council, was essentially dood to destruction. Therefore, the humans rescued by the giant dragons were, in a way, ownerless refugees.
The rescued humans could be considered as the property of the rescuing dragons. Therefore, the lord dragons were most keen to perform rescues.
For each human rescued represented a subject for their territory, paying taxes. Population is wealth.
“There are still many uninhabited wilderness areas in Kaslana’s territory, which haven’t been opened up yet. With a little tidying up, they’re sufficient to accommodate the humans I’ve saved?”
“You intend to give all these thirty thousand humans you’ve saved to Kaslana?” The Jade Dragon looked at Muria in surprise and confusion, “Why?”
After voicing her question, she seed to realize sothing, a light of understanding and lancholy appeared in her eyes.
“Just as you said, I have no territory to settle them.” Muria frowned at the sight of humans trembling under the dragon’s prestige, with many crawling on the ground, “Put your dragon prestige away, also, they’re not goods.”
“But they are a group of lower and humble creatures.” The Jade Dragon murmured softly, then obediently retracted her dragon prestige. She directly ignored Muria’s last sentence, because she didn’t care about humans, but she cared about Muria’s attitude.
Muria didn’t answer. The difference between the lives of normal humans and giant dragons was simply too great, to the extent that when humans saw a real dragon, they didn’t even have the courage to stand up.
“Enough, let’s not talk about that anymore.” Muria pointed at the empty sky, “Where did the other dragons go? Why only a few of you are left? What about those Lord Ancient Dragons?”
“I heard that a dragon found a ghost ship, and then, well, you see what happened.” The Jade Dragon scratched its chin, speaking in an indifferent tone, “They have all gone to track the ghost ship, even those old fellows.”
“Ghost Ship?” Muria’s expression changed slightly, “Legendary Lich, the Ghost Ship Captain Barbosa.”
Old dragons interrogated the soul of a lich and gained so useful information. For instance, the Legendary Lich, known as Barbosa, was responsible for releasing the Undead Cataclysm which included but was not limited to, Ezreal City and its surrounding areas.
This was also a well-known legendary Great Lich, one of the core mbers of the Undead Council, whose fa surpassed even the Death Dragon Tar, Berlaint. He was also one of the masterminds of the Undead Council’s country-obliteration plan this ti.
The most striking sign of this legendary Great Lich was his ghost fleet that hovered in the sky.
Therefore, if a dragon spotted a ghost ship flying in this area’s sky, there was a high probability that it belonged to Barbosa’s ghost fleet.
Following the ghost ship would lead to Barbosa’s ghost fleet, and finding the ghost fleet would lead to this peculiar legendary Great Lich, and eventually, to that enemy of the Dragon Race.
Just then, a spirit light ssage streaked across the sky towards Muria. As Muria reached out and grabbed it, the spirit light flickered twice, seemingly making so judgnt, then exploded in mid-air, and a soft voice sounded in Muria’s ear.
“Muria, I found a ghost ship, co help !”
The voice of Golden Dragon Sister Kaslana, it was a ssage spell. After the voice disappeared, a set of spatial coordinates appeared in Muria’s consciousness.
“Fiona, Otlis, co with .” Without any hesitation, Muria cast a Seven-Circle Magic, Phase Door. With the two dragons at the Peak of Soul Intent, he jumped to the location given by the Golden Dragon Sister. Due to the urgency of the situation, he did not even bother about the Jade Dragon nearby.
However, right after he arrived at the location, Muria saw a tall woman with scattered blonde hair, standing in the Void. She was holding a magic staff and gazing at him with a smirk on her face.
Under her feet, a three-masted ship bathed in a green light and having several corroded parts was immobilized. One could see nurous struggling ghosts embedded in the hull of the ship laden with thick Death Qi, crying out in agony and despair.
“Those are the souls of those who were defeated in the battle against this ghost ship. They will be eternally imprisoned on the ship, powering it.” Noticing Muria’s gaze, Kaslana explained with a smile.
“You’ve already captured the ghost ship!” Muria frowned, “Why did you send
a ssage to co over?”
“Muria, when those Lord Ancient Dragons co over later, I will say that we caught this ghost ship together.”
“What are you up to?”
“This is my repaynt to you!”
