Chapter 1470: Chapter 1427: Revival of the Gods
Standing at the expanding edge of the Divine Realm central, the God King slowly opened his eyes, a faint majesty superior to all things, spirits, and gods dissipating around him.
Many gods who were already followers of Muria naturally knelt down, offering their loyalty to the great being who had beco the ruler of the world, with only a few beings capable of facing Muria’s unintentional pressure with their original posture.
Having completed his ascension and his consciousness returning from the World Origin, the Lord of the World looked around at his relatives and elders with a smile, not speaking, for he had a very important task to undertake.
His newly returned consciousness extended once more into the World Origin, then he inspected one by one the many radiant seals engraved upon it.
However, these seals, still shimring with radiant luster, were not what he sought; it was the dimd, nearly void-like faded seals that were his target—those were the marks of the fallen gods.
From the birth of the world, each deity who had ascended to the God Position and now fallen bore a mark, a privilege, and a boon of deities.
Even if they had fallen, and their churches and divine kingdoms were destroyed, as long as the world existed, any deity had the possibility of being resurrected through the long years.
Of course, it was only a possibility, as most fallen gods ultimately succumbed to eternal sleep, never to return.
Only a very few gods would be resurrected from the World Origin due to various coincidences and opportunities. Such gods were extrely fortunate beings.
Sotis, however, this wasn’t re luck but rather a result of making the right decisions at crucial monts, just like now. The first act of the newly ascended God King was to search for the marks of those gods who had submitted to him, fought for him, but had unfortunately fallen.
He intended to resurrect the deities who had battled for him, even if so of their marks had been erased; it did not matter, as long as they had once existed, he could exercise the authority as ruler of the world to bring them back.
Battling the epic forces from the Void bore significant risks, for an epic that had survived the long ages had its ways of dealing against deities.
One such way was to erase the deities’ marks from the very root of the world, instilling fear in their hearts, making them hesitant to oppose it.
Many under Muria’s command who had fallen had their marks erased. But it didn’t matter, as the Lord of the World, he could reverse ti and space, retracing these gods’ complete marks left in the past.
Even if this was imnsely draining, it was a necessary act, the correct course in all respects.
Rumble—
Billions of laws vibrated, the hearts of all spirits and beings responded, and the divine realm that had been ford by Muria’s will and had been still expanding, slowed down, nearly ceasing.
For the being who held the highest authority over the world was gathering all the powers that wouldn’t impair the operation of universal laws, to resurrect the gods who had fought for him.
So, under the gods’ relieved, joyful, and reverent gazes, under the envious and admiring watch of the epics, the gods who had fallen in the battle against the Mother of All Things one by one awoke from their eternal sleep, stretching out their renewed perfect divine bodies.
The resurrected gods, after a brief mont of bewildernt, quickly understood everything. All their mories were locked in the mont just before they fell, possessing complete mories, understanding the reasons for everything.
Thus, the gods resurrected from the river of years worshiped Muria profusely, with imnse gratitude and tears of thankfulness. While Muria calmly accepted these thanks, he felt a bit awkward inside.
Because the resurrected gods, each was not in their pri state, their power rely sufficient to maintain their existence. Any lower, and they would fall from their divine status.
But there was no helping it, after all, the house of the landowner had no surplus either. Muria, having just ascended, was well aware of how weak and impoverished this great world was.
If not for the existence of the gods playing a critically important role in maintaining the world order, the Great World Will might have resisted him when he drained the World Origin Sea of its source power.
Of course, such rebellion, for him at the ti, was like dealing with a son rebelling against his father’s discipline—easily suppressible, yet ultimately undesirable.
Fortunately, this “son” was reasonable enough. Although sowhat reluctant, he did not rebel and obediently allowed Muria to resurrect the gods.
But that was as far as it could go. Muria could not do similar things a second ti, not because he was incapable, but the current foundations of this great world would not permit it.
The shattered great world, even having birthed a master to unify everything and expelled malintentioned invaders, had exhausted all its foundations and could now only quietly recuperate, unable to withstand any more turmoil.
Muria had no intention to continue causing disturbances; the unconventional gains he had made this ti required a very long period to digest and absorb before they could finally beco his own.
Thus, the master who had decided the future of the world dismissed the gods and began to handle his private affairs, conversing with his father and elders, then “seeing off” so Dragon Elders, and finally having a long heartfelt talk with his wife and children.
“Mika, I’ve made you suffer. My promise might have to be delayed a bit longer.”
Muria looked at his wife apologetically. In his plan, on achieving the position of master of the world, it would be the ti for Michaela to gain her freedom.
But the world could not withstand any further disturbances; the sudden loss of a powerful divine force—for the world at the ti—was like receiving a crippling blow, possibly leading to a fall from divine status.
“What are you talking about? There’s no need to apologize. If you want
to leave now, I don’t even want to go. The opportunity to delve deeply into the World Law, sothing countless epics can’t even dream of. Yet, for , it is simply a part of my daily routine.”
Michaela blinked, a touch of amusent in her voice. Loss ca with gain; divinities, while constrained, also enjoyed benefits that epics could only aspire to.
“So, going back to the point, how do you plan to manage this world, to return it to its forr glory?”
“I don’t plan on doing anything right now; I only need to peacefully watch it slowly recover.”
“That’s it?”
“When it has healed to a certain extent, and the civilizations within it develop the capability to venture into the Void, I naturally will have a next plan.”
The newly minted master of the world’s eyes glead with a light called ambition.
