Chapter 1380: Chapter 1358: The Elders’ ticulous Care
“Cannot be defined as an Evil God? What do you an by that?” Muria was sowhat curious. The so-called Evil Gods are those who purely seek to elevate themselves by destroying the world, a type of existence that devastates the prosperity of the Void. It is not an exaggeration to label them as Evil Gods.
Such existences, if too nurous, would destroy the balance within the Void, and once the balance was upset, the Void would inevitably beco a desolate wasteland. This is sothing the Titans absolutely do not wish to see, hence they actively target Evil Gods within the Void.
According to the recent description of the Shiyu Dominator, the perpetrator behind the Shattering of the great world was the Mother of All Things. To define such a being that nearly caused the downfall of the world as an Evil God is not too far-fetched.
“Indeed, there’s no harm in telling you since your goal is to beco the master of the world. If we fail to resolve the situation, you will have to get involved eventually. This world was once a complete entity, just like our Mother World Elasia.”
“I have heard other deities discuss this. They ntioned it was due to a war that caused the fragntation. What exactly happened? The deity did not wish to divulge.”
“There’s nothing especially noteworthy. It simply involved a special existence wandering through the Void, invading this great world. However, this invasion cannot simply be categorized as an invasion by Evil Gods.”
“How so?” asked Muria, sowhat puzzled.
“Well, you’ve seen that World Tree on the Titan Islands, haven’t you? The Mother of All Things is a unique existence like that World Tree, but compared to the sapling we have on the Titan Islands, the Mother of All Things is a fully matured World Tree.”
“World Tree!” Muria was montarily taken aback, quite surprised. In his youth, on the Eternal Island of Elves, he had seen a World Tree that connected heaven and earth, similar to the mythological Jianmu that linked humans with the gods. Yet such a colossal World Tree was still described by the Elves as a sapling in need of careful nurturing.
At that ti, Muria could not imagine the terrifying extent to which such a World Tree could grow if it matured, and now, Muria… still found it almost unimaginable.
For Divine Trees like the World Tree, coming into full growth ans they can achieve “‘One Leaf, One World,'” becoming special worlds within themselves. If the Mother of All Things is truly an existence like the World Tree, then defining it as an Evil God is indeed overly narrow.
“It seems you understand. Back then, this so-called Mother of All Things invaded this great world, which led to a war of invasion and counter-invasion. We don’t know the specifics, but as you can see, the world Shattered, breaking into thousands of fragnts scattered across the Void. It is likely that during the war, the world’s native powers were overwheld and resorted to this desperate asure.”
“These Ancient Divine Spirits must be aware of the existence of the Mother of All Things, yet I sense no tension from them regarding this World Tree. This strikes
as very odd!”
Muria’s face showed a contemplative expression. Clearly defeated in battle, those ancient deities now possessed only a fragnted world, and their threat had not been eliminated. Even so, they appeared so relaxed, which was truly abnormal.
“Perhaps these deities believe that after paying such a price, they can disregard the threat posed by the Mother of All Things, especially since the region where the Mother resides is so distance away from here. Besides, they also need ti to assimilate the spoils of that battle, so for the ti being, they are indeed safe.”
“It can’t be that simple, right? This is just willful ignorance, a pretense of peace.”
Muria expressed his inability to understand such actions—erasing all information on an enemy capable of threatening the entire world and then creating a false image of a thriving era with competing clans.
“You could look at it from another angle. What else can these Ancient Divine Spirits do besides putting on a brave face? Should they publicly reveal the existence of the Mother of All Things? Other than causing widespread panic and even larger turmoil, there would be no other outco. On the other hand, establishing a comparatively stable order and then focusing on strengthening themselves to prepare for future battles is relatively a better approach.”
“That is also a possibility.” Muria nodded upon hearing the assumption proposed by the Ancestor Shiyu. It rendered these ancient deities less incompetent and imbued them with a sense of enduring in silence.
However, only those ancient deities knew their true intentions and thoughts. Outsiders’ speculations would always remain just that—speculations—and there was even the possibility of overestimating them.
“So now, are you, the ancestors, battling the Mother of All Things?” Muria glanced at the Eternal Spirit in his hand, the representative of the Mother of All Things, and suddenly rembered the reason for this ancestor’s appearance before him.
“We can’t say it’s a battle yet. Right now, it’s only a probing stage. Conflict may be avoided if the Mother of All Things is willing to cooperate with us.”
“You an coexistence is possible?” Muria felt a tinge of lancholy. To be honest, he really didn’t want to go head-to-head with an existence capable of invading a great world. To the current him, that was totally out of his league.
If the Titan Ancestors from his Clan couldn’t handle this tree, then eventually the burden would fall on his shoulders. Regardless of his will, he would have to compete with this tree.
