Chapter 1138: Chapter 1125: A World of Blood

Several Mountain Giants clad in tal heavy armor, holding various heavy weapons, were walking across the earth. Each step they took left deep footprints on the ground, but as they moved on, the soil around these footprints naturally filled back in.

However, the filled-in earth still retained the imnse shape of the footprints, which conveniently aided certain bold or perhaps discontented humans in tracking them.

“Human, why are you following us?”

Soon, a Mountain Giant noticed a man who was hopping forward from tree to tree around them, or to be precise, a Half-Giant.

“Your Excellency, what are you planning to do?” The man who caught up didn’t answer the giant’s question, but instead asked the Mountain Giant.

“Human, this has nothing to do with you, stop following us.” The first Mountain Giant to notice the man didn’t show any emotional fluctuation at his words and indifferently warned the Half-Giant.

“You’re going to join a battle, aren’t you? My goal is the sa as yours, rest assured, I won’t interfere with you.”

“You are too weak, Human, go back. This is not sothing you should be involved in.” However, when the man ntioned joining the battle, the giant didn’t react much, after all, he was just a human.

“This is a war that will determine the destiny of our humans, how can I retreat?” The man, firmly resolved, hopped on the whimsical trees, following the seemingly slow but actually fast steps of the giants.

Seeing that the man simply wouldn’t heed the advice, the first Mountain Giant to notice and talk to him simply stopped paying attention to him, allowing him to follow at the side.

As for the giant’s disregard, the man gripped the divine machine in his hand, feeling no special emotion in his heart. He understood that his strength vastly differed from that of these giants.

Right now, he was exerting all his effort just to barely keep up with the giants’ walking speed, which seed like a stroll to them. So it was normal for the giant to ignore him, as strength decided one’s voice.

The man desperately followed these Mountain Giants, who were among the slowest in the group, advancing through the journey where he saw more and more giants.

At the sa ti, he noticed an increasingly rapid rise in the number of Giant Dragons flying across the sky with the passage of ti. At first, he only saw dragons flying over the sky occasionally.

But later on, the intervals between sightings of dragons beca shorter and shorter. At last, he simply saw one Giant Dragon after another flying across the sky, forming swarms.

“What a grand scene!” The man couldn’t help but exclaim aloud as he saw a spectacular sight that most commoners would never see in their lifetis.

“Human, co up, stand on my shoulder, so you don’t accidentally get crushed by other giants.”

Just then, a surprising voice sounded, belonging to the Mountain Giant who had been ignoring him the whole way.

“Are you speaking to ?” The man couldn’t help but look around twice, making sure there was no one else beside him.

“That’s right.”

“But…” The man’s expression beca sowhat awkward. He was sowhat puzzled why the giant, who had previously been extrely cold or rather emotionless towards him, suddenly changed attitude.

“Your persistent spirit has moved , and in this respect, I recognize you, Human.” The Mountain Giant saw the confusion on the man’s face, “On the battlefield, you can fight alongside .”

“I just need to stand on your shoulders. On the battlefield, fight as you will, don’t mind .”

Upon hearing the reason for the giant’s recognition, a smile involuntarily appeared on the man’s lips.

Although his mind was telling him to keep a straight face, to regain as much dignity as possible that he had just lost,

sadly, his body’s instinctive reaction said it all, being recognized by a higher life form was indeed sothing to be happy about.

“I will do so,” replied the Mountain Giant straightforwardly. He recognized the man for his persistent actions, but protecting him on the battlefield was a different matter altogether.

“Huh,” the smile on the man’s face froze, and he felt a twinge of embarrassnt and disappointnt rising unconsciously in his heart.

“Co on.” The Mountain Giant extended its hand completely enveloped in steel. And so, the man stepped onto the wide shoulders of the giant. Then, he witnessed a scene that would leave an indelible mark on his life.

The giants clad in armor converged from all directions of the earth, and during their march, without any command, they arranged themselves into a well-ordered battle formation solely through an unspoken understanding, as if they were one.

The earth trembled beneath the feet of the forming giants; this was a true tremble, not just a descriptive term. The man saw with his own eyes the ground quaking.

In the sky, the Giant Dragons likewise ford an imnsely shocking charge formation. With every flap of their wings, they left long-lasting trails of rainbow light, and the scales on their bodies, much harder than most things in the world, sparkled with Elental Radiance.

Not long after, the man standing on the giant’s shoulder looked around and to his astonishnt found that giants had filled up the space around him, regardless of the direction he looked in, all he saw were giants brimming with the will to fight.

The sky had been obscured by the outspread wings of the dragons, and he could not even see the gloomy clouds above.

Just then, the man suddenly saw at the far horizon where sky t earth, a blinding golden light so brilliant it was hard to keep one’s eyes open.

When that golden light appeared, it quickly spread, forming a golden pillar of Light that connected heaven and earth, and from above it, an aura of terrifying pressure pervaded the air.

Imdiately, the man watched as, starting from the location of the golden pillar, giants began to topple like wheat in a strong wind, whole swathes bowing to the ground.

Soon it was the turn of the Mountain Giant he stood upon, who, hardly acknowledging the man, also joined the ranks and knelt down, worshipping toward the distant entity whose features remained unseen.

As the giant kneeled, the man was thrown from its shoulder to the ground, but thankfully, he was prepared and managed to land on his feet after spiraling through the air.

While pondering his next actions, he suddenly realized that the giant who had just recognized him, though its head had not moved, had its eyeballs rotated to fixate on him.

“Kneel!” Although the giant didn’t speak, the man read the command in its gaze. He looked all around and, yielding to the impulsive rise within him, he too knelt down.

After kneeling, the man suddenly heard a voice beside his ear, both imposing and profound, and upon hearing this voice, he unconsciously adjusted his posture, making his kneeling appearance even more respectful.

He hadn’t knelt for long when he felt the oppressive aura that demanded his reverent submission vanish, and then he watched the surrounding giants, rank after rank, rise from the ground, including the Mountain Giant behind him.

“What was that just now?” The man turned and asked the Mountain Giant, a hint of bewildernt in his eyes. He had only heard a voice but did not grasp what the voice was specifically saying.

“The Sovereign has descended,” the Mountain Giant looked at the man with a trace of admiration, then bent over, picked him up, and set him upon its shoulder.

“The Sovereign? That must be the so-called Savior,” thought the man, perched on the giant’s shoulder.

He looked toward where the golden light had appeared, but found that the brilliant golden light had vanished. Recalling the oppressive force that followed the appearance of the golden light left him with nothing but awe. To a mortal, it was an existence that left no choice but to worship upon sight.

“The war is about to begin, but you needn’t worry. With the Sovereign’s presence, victory in the war will surely be ours,” said the giant, mistaking the man’s distraction for fear of the approaching battle, and comforted him before moving along with the marching giant legion.

Roar!

The Red Dragon with Brilliant Red Scales roared in the sky, its strong and powerful foreclaws seizing a flying Desolate Beast nearly its own size, opening a mouth full of rows of sharp Dragon Teeth, viciously biting into the chest flesh of its prey and tearing it away, chewing and swallowing it down.

The Desolate Beast scread as well but was not outdone; its mouth opened, condensing a destructive orange-yellow Light Cannon and blasting it on the body of the Red Dragon. Blood mulled with fine scales sprayed out.

As the two Giant Beasts battled in the sky, a green dragon, shimring with the light of green elents, joined the fray.

It roared, then expelled a breath of intense corrosiveness, striking the Desolate Beast engaged with the Red Dragon. The side of its body was corroded into a blur of flesh and blood, exposing white bones and emitting a foul stench.

With the addition of the green dragon, the flying Desolate Beast, a nightmare to humans, was quickly torn into shreds by the two dragons in the sky.

Such sights were commonplace in this aerial battlefield. The dragons, in comparison to the Desolate Beasts, held an absolute advantage in individual strength. After one hundred and twenty years of compulsory education, the dragons, once organized into legions, unleashed a combat prowess beyond any creature’s imagination.

Agile dragons, spewing various Dragon Breaths, fiercely battled with the Desolate Beasts in the sky, raining down blood, bones, shreds of flesh, and scales… The “torrential rain” composed mainly of Desolate Beast’s bodily tissues fell from the sky, landing on the giants engaged in battle with the terrestrial Beast Tide on the ground, staining the earth and the sky above, everything drenched in blood…
