Chapter 1108: Chapter 1095: A Talent Like Cheating

“This is truly fascinating!” Muria, who had just cleaved the exhausted Wind Chi King from the Sky Do with a sword, couldn’t help but smile when he saw the king’s transformation upon landing.

After Muria struck the Wind Giant, which the king had transford into, the creature’s body was nearly bisected by that single slash. The wound, after spurting a gush of blood, was rapidly cauterized by the intense heat.

He was directly cut by that sword into a severely injured and dying state, but the king did not die from it. Instead, after plumting to the earth, his ravaged body rged directly with the ground.

After the king fell into the earth, Muria felt the originally weakened and declining life force suddenly recover in an instant, as if he had been fully revived from death.

“Arnold, don’t think you’ve won, the battle has only just begun.”

A deep voice ca from beneath the ground, and then, under Muria’s watchful eye, waves rippled across the earth like water, emanating from the center where the Wind Chi King had fallen.

Then, a giant hand constructed of stone erged from the center of these ripples—the point of his fall—and slapped the ground, causing it to shake and silencing much of the noisy battlefield.

But this was only the beginning. Following this tremor, the earth shook again, and for the sa reason: another hand rose from beneath, also striking the ground.

Then, between these two stone hands that extended from the ground, a giant stone skull erged and looked up, staring intently at Muria, who stood above, looking down from the sky.

“You warned

not to covet the power of demon deities, but you yourself have mastered another kind.”

Muria crossed his arms and slowly descended from the sky, golden-red chains swirling around him, releasing a fearso heat that mortal things simply could not withstand.

“What is this? Don’t tell

the power you now wield is sothing innate to you.”

“No one is indifferent to great power. I too was once fascinated with the power of the Seven Calamities Demon Spirit, and there’s nothing strange about that. However, I stopped in ti because I was afraid of being consud by my own greed.”

The Rock Giant, which was a re protrusion from the ground yet stood a hundred ters tall, stared at Muria. Around its body, more Rock Giants, similar in shape, slowly climbed up from the ground. So joined the surrounding battle, while others, along with their master, kept their focus on Muria.

“Is this you showing off your self-control to ?” Muria observed the formidable Rock Giant, watching it gradually adjust its body structure and refine its rough shape to construct a massive stone armor for itself, “Or are you mocking my greed?”

“This is advice from soone who’s been there: do not lust after the power of demon spirits, or in the end you will surely be the one consud.”

The words of the Wind Chi King, who was nothing less than an archenemy to Muria, were a sincere expression from the depths of his heart.

The more powerful he beca, the more fearful he felt. The Wind Chi King knew that all his power ca from a demon deity of legend, unseen by any.

“That’s none of your concern.”

“I can sense within you, aside from the fiery power you now command, another force.

Greedful King of Yama, you have already collected two types of power from the Seven Calamities Demon Spirit. If you consu , you will have four, and by then it’s highly likely that the will of the demon deity will resurrect from within you.”

“Hmm, thank you for the information, and the reminder.”

“If you consu my power, you’ll soon join .”

“Is that all you have to say? Nothing else? If not, then I shall begin.”

Muria reached out toward the giant in front of him, a Rock Giant towering like a mountain.

“You’re looking for death, Arnold,” the giant bellowed angrily as he saw Muria insist on acting against it, lifting its palm and smashing a fist towards Muria.

“Right now, I am the son of the earth, the Avatar of Earth’s will. While I stand upon the earth, I hold endless strength and supre might; you cannot possibly defeat .”

“The more you talk, the more tempted I beco.” Muria replied with a laugh upon hearing the king’s attempt to shake his resolve with his words.

He caught the fist, twice the size of his own palm, with his hand. Flas attached to this stone fist, followed by droplets of crimson magma falling drop by drop.

Seeing the Wind Chi King’s reaction at this mont, Muria admitted that he was indeed very tempted. For he saw the uniqueness of the power that Epics possessed in this world.

This self-sacrificing Epic, with its variety of powers, had an unusual diversity rarely seen in Epics. It could be seen as both good and bad. The upside was that the diversity of power allowed him to comfortably handle various situations, but the downside was his lack of specialization.

However, this Epic with multiple powers had a Talent that even Muria coveted. Each form of his power was a life in its own right, a rather shaless Talent.

Because Muria despised his own Ghoul form which wielded Death Power, he hadn’t imdiately noticed the special aspect of this Epic. Of course, the most important reason was that, in this world, hardly anyone could bring him close to death.

But now, just monts ago, Muria saw that the Wind Chi King, whom he had nearly killed and left crippled, turned into a second form of power, and to Muria’s astonishnt, was fully restored.

The wounds and negative effects suffered by his Wind Giant Beast form hadn’t affected his Earth form in the slightest.

Such a Talent in a fight of equals was simply like cheating. Others would fight you to the death, and just when they had whittled your health down to a sliver, you’d switch to another state and be back to full health. An enemy with even slightly poor morale would collapse in spirit.

And if an Epic possessed this Talent, it would be even more outrageous. The Body of Myriad Spirits that Epics had already boasted far more defense than Deities, making them hard to injure. Similarly, it would cost them dearly to recover from injuries.

Epics usually got injured in battles with beings of equal presence, and at such tis, their condition would only continue to deteriorate, with their opponent giving them no chance for recovery.

Naturally, even an Epic would explode with frustration over having the Talent, where switching to a different form would allow full recovery.

“You can’t kill ,” the Wind Chi King responded coldly, seeing Muria’s undisguised desire for the power he wielded.

He then lifted another hand to smash towards Muria, while the palm crushed by Muria quickly began to regenerate. Just as he had said, he was now able to draw power continuously from the Earth.

“There are no enemies that can’t be killed, the so-called unkillable only ans that the attacking force isn’t strong enough,” Muria didn’t care for the king’s words at all, he was either bluffing or showing off.

The power to manipulate Earth and form Stone that he now controlled was stolen from soone else. Since he could take it from others, Muria believed he could take it from him as well.

Boom! Boom!

With an exploratory intent, Muria and the Wind Chi King, transford into a Rock Giant, plunged into intense battle, testing the power he was about to seize.

As a result, the terrain around them constantly rose and fell, torn apart and reford by the aftermath of the battle between these two Extraordinary beings.

Many smaller Rock Giants, which had erged from the surrounding Earth due to the Wind Chi King’s presence, tried to intervene and disrupt their master’s battle with Muria, but they were all blocked.

The Rock Giant’s head was also a head, and though beheading it turned it into a pile of seemingly useless Stone, there was an Inspector present on the battlefield, and even Stone could count towards Military achievent.

So there was the Wind Chi King on his own territory, being ganged up on by the army led by a rival King. If Muria weren’t so kind-hearted and unable to bear torturing him, he might already have been smashed to bits.

“The weakness is still obvious. The power of Earth is nearly infinite for you, but the amount you can use at any given mont is very limited.”

Muria, after almost taking apart the Rock Giant, looked upon the Wind Chi King struggling to repair his missing limbs and concluded.

He had fully grasped the nature of this Earth-related Epic power. It was a force he was about to control, and naturally, he wanted to understand it thoroughly during this opportunity.

Otherwise, if he had to fumble and test the power on himself after gaining control, he would be foolish, and Muria would not engage in such stupid acts. He wasn’t a fan of self-torture.

“That’s enough, ga over, I’m not playing anymore.”

Muria threw a punch, and the fierce yet perfectly controlled force instantly shattered the Rock Giant’s battered body.

Muria extended a hand and grasped a Stone heart. He then unleashed the instinctive urges within him, and a black and red Qi surged forth, wrapping around the Stone heart, voraciously plundering the power contained within.

“No! Greedy King of Blazing Sky, I curse you, you will be devoured by the Demon Deity, and in the end, you will gain nothing, all you have will be occupied by the Demon Deity!”

The Wind Chi King, his strength being relentlessly taken by Muria, let out a fearso curse, his voice laden with despair.
