Chapter 1008: Chapter 995: A Fierce Set of Moves
“Right, co on, you can hit
now, and after that take
to the hospital. I’ll rest for a few days, and when I co out, those guys should still be lying in the dical Cabin, which ans I’ll have two more days of freedom than them.”
Victor had a resigned and languid expression, having given up the struggle and bracing himself for a beating.
“If you had gone to great lengths to hide and then got caught by , of course, I would have laid hands on you, but with that attitude of yours, I just can’t muster the desire to do it.”
Muria bent down, grabbed Victor’s shoulder with one hand, and easily lifted him up.
“So what do you plan to do with
now?” Victor asked, tilting his head. He had adopted a nonviolent, nonresistant stance; if Muria wanted to hit him, he could just do it—Victor wouldn’t resist, refusing to add to his amusent.
“Victor, do you really think I brought you all here just to change the scenery?” There was a hint of mysterious smile on Muria’s lips.
“What else could it be?” To Victor, Muria’s bringing them here was rely a change of location for their beating—hadn’t the area already been cleared out?
“In this forest, all the native species that might pose a threat to your life have been cleared out by the clan’s Star Armor Masters. However, there are still many Interdiate Primal Species left. They can be dangerous to you as well, and if you are not careful, they might kill you too.
You have three days, and you will not only face my pursuit, but also the wrath of the forest’s true masters.”
“Why are you telling
all this? Just go ahead and hit , then take
to the hospital,” Victor said, with impatience on his face.
“Didn’t I just say it? I can’t find it within
to strike you,” said Muria, his eyebrow raised, as his other hand reached out toward Victor.
“What do you want to do to ?” Victor’s face showed shock and anger because in the span of those few words, Muria had sohow managed to disassemble his arm yet again.
“Don’t be nervous. You said you wouldn’t resist, right? Just stay still,” Muria said while removing the joints on his body. Whenever he encountered the Star armor in the way, Muria simply broke it off.
The Star armor worn by Star Armor Masters isn’t a single piece, but composed of hundreds of tal fragnts that adhere to the body through the Star talent to form a complete suit of armor—ordinary people can’t even wear Star armor.
Victor, who had just thought of resisting, stiffened at Muria’s words and, in that mont of hesitation, was rolled up into a ball by Muria once more.
“Last ti I balled you up like this, I really wanted to kick you, but your parents were beside us, so I didn’t. Now I finally have the chance.”
Muria held the ball-shaped Victor with both hands, smiling contentedly. Although as a being nearly a thousand years old, such behavior seed a bit childish, he couldn’t resist indulging in a bit of fun since there was no one around who knew him.
“Hey, hey, wait a second, Jenos, put
down!” Victor, guessing what Muria was about to do, shouted desperately while trying to control his Star Armor’s external armant to resist.
“Keep your Star armor safe; don’t lose it. It’s your guarantee for the next three days living in this forest.” Muria didn’t give him much ti to react. He released his grip, stepped back, and then kicked the ball-ford Victor hard, shouting, “Off you go!”
Under Muria’s kick, Victor instantly turned into a black shadow that shot through the sky with a whoosh, breaking nurous branches along the path.
…
The hefty green-scaled Giant Python coiled around a tree, basking in the radiant golden sunlight, looking entirely lazy. Between the rifts of light, the sunlight casted delicate patterns on its body, adding to its nacing presence.
Huh—
But just then, the sound of sothing whizzing through the air reached the python as a black shadow zipped past it, causing a furious wind that also snapped the branches of the tree on which the Giant Python was resting.
What was that?
The sudden disturbance woke the sunbathing Green-scaled Giant Python, which instantly switched from its lazy state to one of vigilance. It lifted its hefty upper body and surveyed the surroundings.
It looked at the broken branches in front of it, gazed up at the sky, and then down at the ground below, confusion apparent in its almost human-like gaze.
Sothing really fast just flew past ? That was the conclusion the Giant Python reached, its intelligence on par with ordinary humans.
Let’s go down and see what it was.
Looking at the disturbed earth below, the python inferred that sothing had fallen from the sky and crashed down there, so it twisted its body and slithered down the ancient tree it was resting on…
…
“Jelos, you’re such an asshole!”
Victor, who was kicked away like a ball by Muria and didn’t know how far he flew before crashing to the ground in a heap, lay there cursing to himself.
“Now I have to set my own bones!” Victor, feeling powerless in his limbs, cursed as he started to manipulate the star armor that clung to his body to set his bones.
As a price for having been beaten by Muria for so long, he had learned a few simple tricks from him. Like now, he knew how to set his own bones.
But because the ti he had spent learning was far too short, the process of setting his bones was unbearably slow. However, this was the Fierce Wilderness Forest, where there was no ti for dawdling.
“Hiss!”
The all too familiar hissing of a serpentine creature reached his ears. Hearing this sound, Victor, who was in the midst of setting his arm, stiffened and slowly turned his head, only to see a green-scaled giant python approaching leisurely, eyeing him curiously.
“Damn it!” In that mont, Victor completely panicked, feeling an entirely different sensation from before—a sense of the threat of death.
Although Muria’s training had been brutal, Victor knew it had been arranged by the clan, so he was aware, no matter how much pain he endured, there was no real danger; at most, he was in for a beating.
But the situation he faced now was different; he could guarantee that this python wasn’t part of the clan’s arrangent. Jelos, that monster, had a bunch of native species, of which one was a giant serpent, but that serpent was completely different from this one before him.
The serpent Muria kept was larger, thicker, and more ferocious, definitely stronger than the python in front of him; in the face of Muria’s serpent, this green-scaled giant python was like a younger brother.
But the problem was that now, facing this python, he was the younger brother. If his assessnt of the star armor’s energy level wasn’t wrong, then this python was an interdiate primal species.
“Don’t co any closer, or don’t bla
for not being polite!” Victor, feeling as though he could be swallowed whole by the python, shouted loudly and then released his external armant, firing wildly at the serpent.
Roar!
Seeing the strangely shaped human before it attack, the green-scaled giant python let out a loud hiss. Its green scales emitted a faint light, deflecting most of the attacks and only allowing a few physical bullets to hit it.
But when those bullets hit its scales, they produced a clear tallic clang and then fell to the ground, barely causing any harm.
“Why is it so hard?” After a barrage of fire, Victor was dumbfounded to find that his attacks hadn’t caused much damage to the green-scaled giant python.
His attacks were fierce like a tiger, but the results were laughably inadequate. This was the most accurate description of Victor’s encounter with the green-scaled giant python.
However, Victor’s furious onslaught, though ineffective against the python, had thoroughly enraged it. The python, which had so of its scales shattered by the assault, let out a huge roar and charged at Victor.
…
“Jelos, there’s been an accident.”
Muria, who had just kicked Victor away, had barely walked a few steps when he imdiately received a communication from Butler Paris, who appeared exceptionally serious at the mont.
“What happened, did soone encounter one of those level 6 primal species you left behind?” asked Muria curiously. At his suggestion, the Douglas family had left a few primal species that posed a threat to these talents during the cleanup process.
“Correct, Victor entered the territory of a level 6 primal species at an extrely fast pace, and just now his signal overlapped with that of the primal species. However, his life signal is still present.”
“What does overlap an?” Muria’s lips twitched. Was it his kick too strong, or was Victor just too unlucky? Well, it must be that the guy was too unlucky since it was only a random kick after all.
“Two possibilities. First, Victor is now in close contact with that primal species; he might have been swallowed whole.”
“So you’re saying that Victor is in a very bad situation right now, right? And the clan wants
to go rescue him?” Muria stroked his chin.
“Yes.”
“Alright then!”
“You don’t need to do it yourself. The closest to Victor right now is one of the primal species you’ve been nurturing. Please order it to go on a rescue mission.”
“Can do,” nodded Muria. This survival training that he had conceived on the spur of the mont was ant to increase the difficulty, and of course, not only he and the native species born and raised in the forest were involved, but so were his “little” pets.
