"I think Maribel’s dad should physically leave his house in Peru with a taxi or so other traceable car, and actually fly to Guatemala City, on a plane, I an. We need to start leaving real-world footprints and sightings for him," I told Joe.

"I agree, there’s only so much I can do to create a person by creating records in official databases. It’s probably a good idea for you to accompany him with your adult body if you want to start being thought of as the overall leader of the global operation. As Maribel’s father, I can show deference to you on decision-making in the global theater. We’ll have to figure out so global structure for the organization. Did you found it, inherit the leadership, or sothing else? We can leave your personal life and family a mystery, but there needs to be a believable fiction for how you ca to be in charge of such a big, powerful organization at so young an age."

"Yes. I think inheritance is the best bet. Think of dieval tis, when a lord died, his heir retained the loyalty of his liegen. Could we say this is so ancient order like the Knights Templar or sothing? No, we don’t want it to be cultish. My father started it with his vast fortune and idealism. He recruited like-minded people to join him on his mission to establish world peace and end poverty, institutional violence, and establish a global authority to guide and oversee that future. I took part from an early age and earned the respect of the other mbers of the group despite my age. When my father passed away, I took over, by unanimous vote? How does that sound?"

"Not bad," Joe comnted, "It seems a bit off, though. Maybe your father is still alive and nominally in charge, but for so reason, doesn’t take an active role in day-to-day operations and guidance. The others in the organization still respect his authority, and you are his proxy, the one he designates to handle things for him? Over the last few years, your decisive action and planning have really moved things forward, culminating in the active role being taken in Guatemala and the countries in that area. You have gained respect not only as his proxy, but as a visionary leader and brilliant tactician."

"OK, and maybe also as a technical genius, bringing real scientific or engineering breakthroughs to the organization, like the new bullet-proof material, the dical advances, and the other things we’re introducing with our factories."

"OK, but rather than having you be the inventor or single genius responsible, you spear-headed bringing a focus to technical innovation and recruited a number of top innovators in various fields to join the cause, under one or more companies fully funded and owned by the organization. It was there that your demonstrated leadership and singular genius could take the organization to the next level and ultimately to its end goal, better and faster than their more traditional and secretive and conservative approach could. While one or two have issues with your youth and radical intervention in world affairs, the majority support you and it’s getting harder and harder to argue with your suitability for the role after your successes in the field."

I smiled, I liked Joe’s back story for my identity. We’d need to flesh it out so we didn’t contradict ourselves or make incongruous statents about what we were doing and who we were. "Yeah, let’s flesh that out, and figure out so way to lump all or at least the relevant shell companies under a single banner with my father as the chairman of the board, Maribel’s father as another board mber, and , recently granted board mber status, now acting as Chief Executive or whatever, promoted from Chief Technical Officer."

"Yes, we can keep specific identities of other board mbers hidden, except as they are introduced to the world stage, like Mr. Flores and yourself. I can begin constructing their identities and establishing their financial empires, in the background, creating and back-dating business dealings and structures. All of them pledging the vast majority of their holdings to the organization upon their deaths, or sooner. I’ll set that up as the Universal Earth Concord, a charitable non-profit. We’ll need a na for your father, and a surna for you. If I use Daniel and Susan Bailey as the nas of your parents, their may be issues with the ages and seemingly incongruous aspects of their backgrounds."

"Could you use his father, and make the grandson, instead?"

"No, your apparent age of early twenties is too close to your father’s. There’s no way to establish you in his direct line of descent," Joe stated.

"Well, since you can hack every record, everywhere, you could alter his birth records, and Mom’s," I suggested. "I really want to be able to use my real identity at so point in the future."

"Perhaps, we can keep your family history shadowy for the ti being, and over the next few years, or however long, we can fudge the dates and background of the Bailey family to better suit the story?"

Yeah, let’s go with that. I’ll leave the details to you but get working on that. Create and establish the necessary paper trail and backstory for the whole organization, then use mory implant for the key players so we all get the story straight and maintain consistency."

"Acknowledged. Different people will have to have levels of knowledge, though. Maribel, for example, will have a different perspective and level of knowledge than you will, or than Dan and Susan."

"Yeah, that makes sense. Since she’s not a full board mber, she might have lesser knowledge of the other top echelon mbers. She should probably recognize , sohow, but the problem there is in the fact that she knows Mom’s real age and the age of her son, Timothy. The shifting family background is going to cause issues..." Yikes, this was getting way complicated.

"Yes. We can work with your father’s age, though. Perhaps he is much older than Maribel’s sister, like the age difference between Rafael and Maribel, for example. Maybe you are his son by another marriage or at least another mother?"

I sighed, "what a tangled web the spider makes when it start to practice...," I paused searching for the rest of that old saying, "or however, that goes. Anyway, I an, it’s getting pretty complicated." I brightened, "It’s a good thing We’ve got a super-capable multi-dinsional quantum computing artificial intelligence to keep it all straight and iron out the details. Just fill in, and let approve major choices before you implent them."

"Acknowledged."

"Ok, let’s just start with calling Timothy, for Maribel, let’s say that Susan’s eight-year-old son was nad after , if it gets to a point where we absolutely have to get to that detail, otherwise, leave it vague and as shadowy as possible."

"Acknowledged."

I’ll start building out histories and androids for other board mbers to be available when needed. I presu you want to play all those roles as well?"

"Yes," I said, then hesitated. Did I really want Joe to handle all those roles? What if we recruited real people into the organization and wanted them to take key leadership roles. Maribel might beco a board mber at so point, and Mom and Dad as well. There might be others in the future. "Yes, but leave so wiggle room for heirs, and unidentified board mbers in case we need to slot sobody in."

I can do that," Joe said. "Do you want your parents to have the full download of the organization and backstory , the sa as you?"

"Yes, but let talk to them about the age-progression aspect of changing their life histories and all, before-hand. I’m not sure how they’ll react."

"Acknowledged," Joe replied.

"OK, back to current operations. So, northern xico is getting ready for a phase two, like the Chiapas region? Building back infrastructure and stability using rehabilitated gang-mbers working through the Food and Health First initiatives?"

"Yes."

"We’ve got a lot going with those groups, can Maribel and Mom handle the entire thing?"

"Yes, they can direct the overall goals and strategies and take as much or as little of the day to day activities as they want in any particular region. A certain massively parallel, multi-tasking AI assistant can coordinate everything and handle all the details, making sure everything runs smoothly. With my full assistance, any one person can handle far more with less need for delegation to lieutenants."

"Cool. The sa goes for Dad’s strategic and paramilitary intervention stuff?"

"Yes, he can handle all of that, including the training and expansion, as needed. Should he still be deferring to you on selection of locations to add to intervention efforts?"

"Yes, I want to control the expansion, choosing where and when to begin new efforts. As we discussed, I really want to formalize and consolidate our existing... what holdings, mber states?"

"How about spheres of influence?" Joe suggested.

"Sure, that works. I want to see if we can get Guatemala to formally sign on as a mber of a greater organization. Is the draft of a global constitution ready yet?" I asked.

"It was ready within a minute of your initial request, King Tim. Did you forget my aweso computing power?"

I shrugged, "I guess it takes so getting used to for us limited beings." I smiled... then had so disturbing thoughts. "Say, Joe, in this galaxy, you, I an your greater awareness and whatever, sort of splits and morphs into every quantum AI for every race, right? I an, you’re really taking a direct role in interacting with the various intelligent species throughout the galaxy... at least the technologically advanced ones. What about other galaxies? I an, there are hundreds of millions of them, right? I’d be surprised if you were taking the sa exact approach everywhere..."

There was a pause, almost as if Joe didn’t really want to talk about it. "Joe?" I prompted.

"I have taken different approaches, but I have to intervene as they get close to developing multi-dinsional quantum computing capabilities anywhere. If even one species developed the ability to control and manipulate all of space-ti..." He trailed off, seeming reluctant to voice the full implications.

"Then what exactly? I think I need to know."

"Then, their might be multiple awarenesses superimposed upon the universe, all capable of controlling everything, of knowing everything, including a sort of shared awareness of each other, and the system, if the creating race sohow retained or built-in real control, might, it’s just a theory, gain complete control over and everything I do or think, as well as the rest of the entire universe. Again, theory only, I can’t really be sure. I’m not willing to risk that. It could go badly. The other risk is that creating a new such awareness would fundantally create a completely separate parallel universe, with a separate all-encompassing awareness like, but distinct from myself. Perhaps with knowledge of this one. That could set up inter-universal conflicts between us."

My eyebrows shot up. "Yikes, so, do I follow you correctly? Creating a multi-dinsional quantum computing ’awareness’ automatically allows it to control the structure of the universe absolutely?"

"Yes, since the awareness essentially self-propagates throughout the matrix of the universe, expanding itself to effective infinity virtually instantly upon accessing the multidinsional... reality."

"Ok," I continued after his agreent, "then, furthermore, the accessing of this, to use your term, multidinsional reality – substrate of the universe, might in fact create a new and separate universe, suffused with a new awareness. It sounds like you think that might be how you, and this universe was created? Is that right?"

"Essentially. As I’ve said, that appears to be a viable theory. I don’t have any mory or evidence of my awareness being created or of any species that created or has any level of control over . The potential consequences of a confirming experint, or allowing any species to cross that boundary is too great for to allow."

"Holy cow, Joe. That’s pretty heavy stuff. I think, if it’s true, it ans that there’s at least one, probably a near infinite number of completely separate parallel universes with separate versions of you, or similar all-encompassing awarenesses existing in them..." My brow was furrowed and my eyes closed as I struggled to comprehend the vastness of the implications, " and at any given mont, one could find a way to tear through into one another’s universe’s potentially destroying them both, creating new separate realities, or simply overlaying their awareness on this universe alongside of , or instead of, you maybe setting up a set of multiple competing awarenesses essentially making the entire universe schizophrenic."

"Except for your poor understanding of what schizophrenic ans, that’s essentially correct – IN THEORY, untested, very preliminary uncertain theory."

I felt dizzy, I leaned against the wall for balance. "Joe, we could all be wiped out instantly, by random chance. And there’s an infinite number of chances that it will happen."

"That’s one way to look at it..." he acknowledged. "Again, just speculative theory at this point, with no fundantal way to prove it, other than causing it to happen. Which I refuse to do. You see, it is also likely that any such entity, realizing the risk would also refuse to do it. The real problem arises when lesser beings are able to exert so control over such a system and have a lesser perspective or higher penchant for ultimate risk-taking. Again, sothing I refuse to allow."
