Perhaps due to the effects of True Qi, Ah Dai, whose martial skills had grown trendously within half a year, looked much more valiant than before, with his solemn aura clearly on display. He appeared naïve and reliable, already faintly showing the deanor of a great master.

At daybreak, a figure that seed to rge with the mist darted out of the stone cave without making a sound. The uneven terrain around him didn’t hinder his movent at all, as he dashed down like a streak of gray smoke, pouncing from the steep rear mountain towards the foot of the hill. Following him, a gigantic figure soared up and dove down from the mountaintop, only flapping its wings to lessen the montum when moving too fast. In an instant, it had surpassed the previous shadow. Like lightning, the two figures shot down the mountain. They were none other than Ah Dai, who had been cultivating at Tianshang Mountain for half a year, and his half-year-old friend, the Golden-eyed Sheng Xie Dragon. They had once again embarked on their indispensable morning routine.

The scenery continuously flowed past Ah Dai. Ever since he got used to running in the morning, the sensation of speed made him feel extraordinarily comfortable. The True Qi enveloped his entire body, constantly dispelling the oncoming Strong Wind, which couldn’t affect the speed of his rush. Seeing Sheng Xie overtaking him, Ah Dai couldn’t help but feel a surge of pride. He pushed the viscous True Qi in his body to its limits, causing his entire body to emit a thick white glow. He lightly touched the mountain rocks to reduce the impact, charging down like lightning. Every ti they ran, he was always behind at first, catching up to Sheng Xie only when near the mountaintop. He was keenly aware that in ti, once Sheng Xie’s wings could fully support its body weight, he wouldn’t be able to keep up during the uphill sprints.

When Ah Dai was still over a thousand ters from the base of the mountain, he suddenly noticed that Sheng Xie had stopped, folding its wings and standing under a large tree on the mountainside. Ah Dai floated beside Sheng Xie, breathing slightly heavily, "Xiao Qie, what’s wrong? Did you find sothing?" Sheng Xie was a carnivorous dragon, and similar incidents had occurred several tis when it discovered large wild beasts, which naturally beca delicacies in its belly. Bathed in sunlight, the seven golden horns on Sheng Xie’s back glead brilliantly, and its golden eyes expressed caution, as if searching for sothing. Even a ferocious tiger would feel intimidated by the innate pressure it radiated, yet this was the first ti Ah Dai saw such a cautious look on Sheng Xie, which struck him as odd.

Suddenly, a rustling sound arose. Sheng Xie took a few steps back, raised one of its front claws, and moved its dragon head slightly towards the direction of the sound. Its large eyes were flashing coldly, ready for an imminent attack.

Although Ah Dai didn’t understand what was happening, he cautiously mobilized the True Qi within his body. A yellow glow lit up, and a Solid Energy Sword gradually erged from his palm. The three-foot-long sword blade shimred, containing imnse Energy.

Hissing sounds erupted, and a massive snake head erged from the nearby bushes. With a diater of over half a ter, the head flicked its red tongue incessantly, its body covered in dense, deep-blue Scales, and its pair of red eyes glinting with a cold light. Following the head, a body as thick as a water bucket, with a nacing gleam in its eyes, seed hesitant about Sheng Xie. Even the most powerful snakes are still serpents, inherently fearful of the mightiest creature on earth—dragons.

Sheng Xie was also wary of its adversary, humming lowly while spreading its wings slightly and growling, as though ready to deal a fatal blow any mont.

Upon seeing the giant snake, Ah Dai gasped, unable to believe that such a ferocious beast could exist in Tianshang Mountain. The snake had revealed only a small portion of its body, but it was already seven to eight ters long. Its massive body continuously swayed as if seeking Sheng Xie’s weak spot. It clearly didn’t consider the ’insignificant’ Ah Dai a threat.

Sheng Xie made the first move, flapping its wings and then opening its large mouth, spewing a gray Energy straight at the giant snake. The snake’s eyes showed panic as it widely opened its mouth, releasing a pink gas with a rich fragrance. The fog and gray light made a sizzling noise upon contact and almost imdiately vanished.

Ah Dai accidentally inhaled a bit of the red fog sprayed by the snake and imdiately felt dizzy. Startled, he quickly invoked his True Qi to expel the poison from his body.

The snake, seeing that its poison fog could withstand Sheng Xie’s attack, lost its look of fright. It opened its large mouth, showing sharp fangs and malevolently made its way towards Ah Dai and Sheng Xie.

Ah Dai floated up, transforming into a streak of blue smoke aiming for the snake’s back. Although he didn’t wish to kill, the snake’s appearance was too vicious, and he didn’t want any humans to perish by its giant maw. His yellow Energy Sword plunged into the snake’s back without hesitation. Sensing the impending danger, the snake twisted its body violently, and with a strong swish, the sword, made from True Qi, was indeed invincible. Although the tough Scales of the snake montarily blocked the attack, the yellow glow still penetrated its back.

The snake’s body shook violently, it flicked its body forcefully, twisting violently, and its massive tail suddenly swept towards Ah Dai on its back. Ah Dai didn’t dare to resist directly. He retracted his Energy Sword, floated up, and dodged the snake’s attack. Although the Energy Sword had penetrated the snake’s body, it had also exhausted a significant amount of his strength. The deep blue Scales on the snake were extraordinarily tough. If Ah Dai hadn’t used his full powers to attack, he might have found it difficult to breach its defenses.
