Ah Dai laughed, "Sure! Sheng Xie, from now on you are my friend. I’ll call you Xiao Qie." And so, the world-renowned Golden-Eyed Sheng Xie Dragon ford an unchanging bond of friendship with the Grim Reaper Ah Dai.
Xiao Qie wriggled his chubby body, yawned at Ah Dai’s feet, then lay down on the ground and stopped moving. In a short while, he even started to snore softly.
The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang shook his head helplessly and said, "Alright, Ah Dai, you go back to the Sword Sect first and have Xi Wen send more food. Sheng Xie’s appetite will probably be quite astonishing. Once you co back, I’ll teach you the cultivation thod of Sheng Sheng Bian."
Ah Dai agreed and turned to leave...
Unexpectedly for both the Sword Saint of the Tian Gang and Ah Dai, Sheng Xie slept for seven days without showing any signs of waking, deeply and peacefully. Ah Dai had been worried about Sheng Xie’s condition and probed him with his True Qi, discovering nothing amiss. By the third day, both Ah Dai and the Sword Saint noticed changes in Sheng Xie. His body seed to have grown, and the changes in his dragon wings were most significant; they were no longer as soft as when they first appeared. While still very elastic, they beca tougher and larger. Sheng Xie’s skin was no longer as smooth as before; it was covered in fine gray spots that felt hard, like tiny protrusions. The seven protrusions from his forehead to his back also bulged out more. In fact, these changes were due to Sheng Xie eating the four Top-Grade Magic Crystals. His deep sleep was a result of him continuously absorbing the energy from the Top-Grade Magic Crystals.
During these seven days, Ah Dai spent half of each day ditating; the rest of the ti, the Sword Saint of the Tian Gang began teaching him the Sheng Sheng Bian technique. Sheng Sheng Bian was a special technique researched by the Sword Saint himself. It was extrely difficult to cultivate and required a very high level of innate battle aura. Ah Dai’s Sheng Sheng Jue had already reached the sixth realm, but cultivating Sheng Sheng Bian was still incredibly difficult. To cultivate Sheng Sheng Bian, one must force their True Qi out of their body and control this expelled energy with their will. At the sa ti, they must maintain control over this energy and be capable of retracting it at any mont.
The first ti Ah Dai attempted Sheng Sheng Bian, he followed the cultivation thod described by the Sword Saint. With all his might, he managed to condense a fist-sized ball of White Battle Aura that was slightly liquid. As he tried to control the liquid energy to change its state, he unintentionally exerted too much force and suddenly lost his ntal connection to the energy. As a result, not only did he blast a three-ter diater pit into the ground, but he also got blasted away in a sorry state. Were it not for the protective energy from the Guardian Ring activating in ti, Ah Dai would have been seriously injured. The worst part was that since he had mobilized almost all his liquid battle aura, once the aura vanished, he felt completely emptied. It took him two days of ditation to recover to his original state. Since this first experint, every ti Ah Dai practiced controlling Sheng Sheng Bian, the Sword Saint made sure to send him outside of the stone cave. By the fifth day of cultivation, Ah Dai had gradually mastered the knack. He found that when using Sheng Sheng Bian, as long as the liquid True Qi he mobilized did not exceed the True Qi remaining inside his body, it was very easy to control. Once it exceeded that amount, it beca much more difficult to control. From then on, he began to release four parts of his Sheng Sheng True Qi while keeping back six parts, and although he could only produce solid state energy the size of an egg, he could easily control it. His cultivation of Sheng Sheng Bian beca much easier, starting to change the shape of the solid state energy he produced. The Sword Saint watched these developnts from the shadows, nodding to himself in approval. The reason he didn’t tell Ah Dai these cultivation secrets was because he wanted Ah Dai to experience them for himself. Things handed to one could never be as thoroughly understood as those realized on one’s own.
While Ah Dai was devoted to his cultivation, Xuan Ye and his daughter had already returned to the Holy Church. The Church wasn’t far from the Tian Gang Mountains. After leaving the Tian Gang Mountains that day, Xuan Ye t up with his daughter and their followers, recovered their Magic Power, and then imdiately returned to the Holy Church.
