At last, it was Ah Dai’s turn. He went forward with apprehension when suddenly, an abnormally imnse pressure made it almost impossible for him to breathe, as if it were going to crush him. The twenty Tilu fighters around him stirred slightly. Just when Ah Dai thought that his Sword of Hades had been discovered, a violent surge of energy emanated from the Sword of Hades on his chest. A stream of extrely cold energy instantly enveloped his whole body, and the surrounding pressure disappeared. A stone on top of the Temple’s door suddenly emitted a puff of green smoke with a clack. Ah Dai was startled, thinking that the Temple had detected the weapon on his body, and quickly reached for his chest. Although he had only attempted to use Nether Flash once, he felt as if he could confidently execute the move.
The Tilu fighters did not move again, still holding their Battle Axes with both hands and standing in place. Ah Dai quickly entered the Tilu Temple and breathed a sigh of relief. Cold sweat had soaked through his undershirt, and he thought to himself with great fear, why had he even thought of using the Sword of Hades? If the Sword of Hades had been unsheathed, its Ultimate Evil Power would have been released, and likely all the twenty Tilu fighters around him would have died. Perhaps it was the inexplicable pressure that had given him the idea to use the Sword of Hades. Letting go of his chest, Ah Dai took a deep breath to calm himself and hurried after Xuan Yue.
Entering the Temple, there was a narrow and long corridor. Every ten ters along the corridor, there was a torch on one side. The light from the torches was not very bright, making the corridor seem very dim. Everyone was cautious, looking around as they walked, feeling as though they were being watched, as if the Temple contained a special kind of energy.
Xuan Yue turned back to see Ah Dai catching up and asked softly, "Why are you so slow?"
Ah Dai shook his head and replied, "It’s nothing. Let’s go quickly, Yue Yue. Don’t you think this place is very mysterious?"
Xuan Yue nodded, touched the slightly warm Phoenix’s Blood on her chest, and said in a low voice, "There seems to be a special, vast energy within this Temple."
Yan Ju seed to have heard Ah Dai and Xuan Yue’s conversation and glanced back at them with a glare. Ah Dai quickly closed his mouth and stopped talking.
Yan Ju and Yan Li led everyone through several turns inside the Temple until they reached an open area, where the corridor suddenly widened. After walking about several dozen ters more, the surroundings beca exceptionally spacious, with no more torches on either side. Yan Ju and Yan Li stopped walking. Yan Li spoke respectfully, "Clan Leader, we have brought the people here."
Suddenly, there was a flapping noise, and dozens of massive torches lit up at once. They were in a hall that asured hundreds of square ters. The hall was lined with hundreds of Tilu fighters, just like the ones outside, each holding a Long-handled Battle Axe. Directly ahead was a platform so thirty ters high, where two people stood. One was a tall man from the Pu Yan tribe, around sixty years old, wearing a gray robe that draped over his large fra, with brown hair cascading down his back. His piercing eyes made Ah Dai and the others feel uneasy. Next to him was a person shrouded in a Black Robe, their face obscured as if they were a Magician, which gave off an eerie feeling.
The gray-robed elder gestured, and Yan Ju and Yan Li moved aside, bowing their heads in a very respectful manner.
"Foreigners, welco to our Pu Yan tribe’s Tilu Temple. I am Yan Fei, the Clan Leader of the Pu Yan tribe, and this is Pu Lin the Prophet of our tribe. The incident that occurred with my son Yan Shi is regrettable and sothing no one wanted to see; he is still catatonic. Earlier, Yan Li was very impulsive and tried to harm you, for which I apologize on his behalf. Now, please recount in detail the process of how you ca across my son, leaving nothing out," Yan Fei said, his expression extrely somber, clearly upset by his son’s predicant.
Relieved by Yan Fei’s polite manner of speaking, Moon Scar stepped forward and said, "Greetings to the respected Clan Leader of the Pu Yan tribe. All of us are rcenaries, preparing to head to the Tian Yuan Clan to complete a rcenary task. We were passing through the Noble Domain when..." Moon Scar, who was very articulate, recounted in detail how they had encountered Yan Shi and all that had happened thereafter.
After listening to Moon Scar’s narrative, Yan Fei fell deep into thought. After a while, he looked to the Black Robe beside him and said, "Prophet Pu Lin, how do you view this situation?"
A deep and aged voice echoed in the hall, "Clan Leader, with my abilities, I can only discern so visions of the future, but cannot determine all events. I have already examined the bodies of Yan Shi and Yun Er, and I can affirm with certainty that these foreigners are not the killers of Yun Er. Can’t you see? They are all virgins. Do you rember that when Yan Shi was younger, I ntioned he would face a crisis at the age of twenty-six? This crisis would have a profound impact on Yan Shi. Although he would be greatly hard during this tribulation, it doesn’t threaten his life. The ti of tribulation would also mark the beginning of his rebirth, and he would et the noble person of his life. That noble person is the one who manages to bring a weapon into the Temple. As long as this noble person is present, Yan Shi will surely turn danger into safety. However, should the perpetrator attempt to kill Yan Shi before he regains consciousness, Yan Shi will remain forever in Hell, unable to achieve eternal life."
