Xuan Yue ran up to Ah Dai excitedly, asking, "What are you planning on showing ?"

Ah Dai looked at her and replied, "I am going to try to chop the wall. Stand back, so you don’t get hurt by the backlash."

A glimr of surprise flickered in Xuan Yue’s eyes. "You’re capable of worrying about people?" she asked, stepping back a few paces.

In reality, Ah Dai wasn’t concerned for her but for himself. He feared if Xuan Yue was injured again, she would bla him and make him serve even longer as her lackey—a prospect that terrified him.

Ah Dai grasped the Tian Gang Sword with both hands, raising it above his head. His True Qi began to flow naturally within him. A faint white light emitting a sacred aura radiated from him. The Sword’s light, matching his height, flickered with a fighting spirit. Taking a sudden step forward, Ah Dai bellowed, and with a splitting chop, he slashed at the wall before him.

"No—!" A cry of alarm sounded, but Ah Dai’s montum was irreversible. With a thunderous crash, a hole about three ters in diater instantly opened in the broad wall of the inner hall.

Both Ah Dai and Kigg, who had just completed a magic card, were taken aback. Ah Dai was amazed, while Kigg was distressed. That wall’s barrier had cost him a lot of effort. Now it was ruined, how could he not be heartbroken?

"Wow, amazing! I didn’t know you were capable of this. From now on, you’re my underling and bodyguard," Xuan Yue bounced with excitent, completely oblivious to the grim expressions on both n’s faces.

Ignoring Xuan Yue, Ah Dai turned to Kigg and bowed respectfully, apologizing, "Master Mage Kigg, I’m truly sorry. I didn’t realize the barrier was so fragile. I-I’m willing to compensate for the damage."

Now noticing Kigg’s presence, Xuan Yue scoffed, "Compensate for what? I was the one who asked him to show his swordsmanship. If you’re seeking compensation, go to the church and find my dad. Just say it was Xuan Yue who damaged it; he’ll surely compensate you."

Kigg sighed resignedly, "Forget it. Out with the old, in with the new. Here’s your magic card. Take it and go quickly." If they stayed any longer, the entire guild might be destroyed by them.

Xuan Yue giggled, took the card from Kigg’s hand, and tossed the red one to Ah Dai. She pocketed the white one and, pulling along Ah Dai, she said, "Let’s go have fun."

Ah Dai wanted to say sothing to Kigg, but seeing Xuan Yue’s stern face, he had no choice but to leave the Mage Guild with her.

Behind them, Kigg muttered to himself, "Why am I so unlucky? Ah, my poor wall! Old Huang, go find all the magicians in the city for , I need to fix the wall."

After Ah Dai and Yue Yue left the Mage Guild, the mont they stepped outside, Yue Yue let out a cheer, "Ah! I’m a magician now.". Her voice grabbed the attention of the bystanders. Seeing the magic robes on Ah Dai and Xuan Yue, they couldn’t help but look at them with envy and respect. On the continent, magicians were rare and therefore, precious.

Xuan Yue sidled up to Ah Dai, tapping him on the head with her petite magic wand. "Dai Dai, where should we go next?" she asked.

Ah Dai was unfamiliar with the continent. Baffled, he asked, "Are we just going to play? Is that why you wanted to follow you?"

Xuan Yue stated matter-of-factly, "Of course! Now that we’ve finally gotten out, we have to enjoy ourselves. Eh, it seems there are a lot of people over there. What are they doing? They’re all carrying weapons like you." She pointed towards the rcenary Guild, asking curiously.

"That’s the rcenary Guild, where many rcenaries take on tasks I think," Ah Dai replied.

"Then let’s check it out, there must be sothing interesting there," Xuan Yue’s eyes sparkled.

Without any hesitation, she grabbed Ah Dai’s hand and ran towards the rcenary Guild.

Xuan Yue’s soft, delicate hand was in stark contrast to Ah Dai’s rough one, sending a strange sensation throughout his body. However, Ah Dai was taken aback by Yue Yue’s words. He didn’t get a chance to savor the softness of her hand, he quickly halted and said, "No, no, let’s not go." He had just left the rcenary Guild and didn’t want to be bothered by them again. Besides, if Feng Ping saw him with a young girl, who knew what he would think?

Xuan Yue was just a young girl. When Ah Dai stopped suddenly, her body lurched forward, crashing into Ah Dai’s sturdy fra. The impact caused her to cry out in pain.

"What are you doing? That hurt!"

Ah Dai quickly apologized, "Yue Yue, let’s not go there. I-I have sothing else to do."

Xuan Yue huffed, "You have sothing to do? So do I! Don’t forget, you’re now my underling, so you have to listen to . If I tell you to go east, you have to go east. We’re going to the rcenary Guild. I’ve heard it’s a gathering place for rcenaries of the Red Hurricane Clan. I’ve always loved adventure!"

Ah Dai frowned, "Yue Yue, you go ahead. I have sothing to do. I’ll catch up with you later."

Xuan Yue blinked her big eyes at Ah Dai, asking suspiciously, "Are you trying to escape? I warn you, since you’ve agreed to be my lackey for a year, don’t bla if I’m harsh on you if you try to run away." As she said this, she brandished her magic wand threateningly.

Having witnessed Yue Yue’s magic, Ah Dai hurriedly explained, "No, I won’t run. I owe the stead bun shop owner money and must pay him back first."

Xuan Yue agreed, "Fine, I’ll accompany you. After paying him back, we’ll go to the rcenary Guild. It’s not easy to find such a naive follower like you; I can’t let you run away."

Ah Dai wanted to say sothing else but stopped upon seeing Yue Yue’s magic wand beginning to glow. He had no choice but to comply. Their attire made them standout on the street, after all, in this not-so-large city, magicians were rare.

Soon after, Ah Dai brought Yue Yue in front of the stead bun shop. As it was nearing noon, the shop was doing brisk business. The plump shop owner was happily serving one stear of hot buns after another, each emitting a tantalizing aroma.

Xuan Yue sniffed, turning to Ah Dai she exclaid, "These stead buns sll so good! Ah Dai, buy so."

"Okay." Ah Dai moved forward and got in line to buy the buns. As he waited, Yue Yue, unable to restrain her curiosity, walked up to the shop owner, grabbed a bun and took a bite. After chewing a few tis, she frowned, "It’s quite ordinary. Nothing to write ho about."

She casually tossed the half-eaten bun on the ground, much to the bewildered shop owner’s dismay.

Seeing this, a strong sense of repulsion filled Ah Dai’s heart. He strode towards Yue Yue.
