At the forefront of the cavalry, a female warrior sat upright on a snowy white warhorse. She was entirely encased in a suit of silver armor and a silver lance was hanging from the saddle. The lance was about three feet six inches long, as broad as a chicken egg, and spiral carvings decorated its tip. Even though it was calmly placed on the saddle, one could still clearly feel the strands of cold emanating from it. Her face was concealed by the helt, so one could only discern her gender from the figure that her armor appeared. She happened to be one of the three vice captains of the Skeleton rcenary Group, the leader of the cavalry troops, Ice Skeleton.

She dismounted and walked over to the rchant group. She approached an elderly man in charge of supervising the loading of the convoy’s goods. She was surprisingly tall, about six feet tall, half a head taller than the old man. A cold voice erged from within her helt, "President Mu, how much longer will your convoy need to get ready?"

Face by face with this formidable woman, Mulat couldn’t help but shudder. He’d never viewed Ice Skeleton as a woman. The Stan Empire Alliance had collaborated often with the Skeleton rcenary group and as one of the three Presidents of the Alliance, he’s participated twice. He saw Ice Skeleton rcilessly slaughtering enemies with her Extre Ice Silver Lance, sparing no one. The strangest part was, despite their nurous collaborations, no one had ever seen her true face. "Ah! Vice-leader Ice, we are almost ready. We are just waiting for two more people, then we can set off."

Ice Skeleton grew sowhat impatient, "Who are these two people?"

Mulat rubbed his hands in reply, "Just like you, they are also rcenaries, one of them being a magician. They will address the deficiencies in your team. Please don’t be offended, the goods we are transporting this ti around are extrely important for our Guild, hence, the need for caution."

The icy gaze of Ice Skeleton, intensified making Mulat recoil a step backward. "Your Stan Empire Alliance’s behavior shows a disrespect for us, the Skeleton rcenary Group. You must know the consequences of disrespecting us."

Mulat apologized, "Vice-leader Ice, don’t be offended, there are only two of them, not to ntion they are also a special-class rcenary Corps. Please bear with it for this one ti."

Ice Skeleton was stunned and she asked, frowning, "What’s the na of this special-class rcenary Corps?"

Mulat, seeing an opportunity, hurriedly replied, "They’re the Evil Sky rcenary Group, have you heard of them? I believe it just consists of two mbers."

While the Skeleton rcenary Group rarely interacts with other rcenary groups, they do hold many privileges as a special-class rcenary Group in the rcenary Guild. Ice Skeleton had heard of the Evil Sky rcenary Group indeed; it consisted of just two mbers who managed to accomplish an extraordinarily difficult mission, thus directly promoted from a junior-class Corps. The rate at which they rose through the ranks was even greater than their own. However, they made only one appearance three years ago and haven’t taken on any tasks since. Not expecting to et them here, she couldn’t help but take an interest in this Evil Sky rcenary Group. She said coolly, "Let’s see when they show up." After saying this, she turned and walked back to her troop. Mulat wiped the cold sweat off his forehead and took a sigh of relief. He didn’t dare offend this ’Female Deathbringer’.

Ah Dai and Xuan Yue paid their lodging fees using the little money they had left and walked out. Upon leaving, they spotted the mighty convoy at a distance.

Xuan Yue exclaid, "Wow, there are so many horse-drawn wagons! This is a big convoy. Oh, big brother, look, the knights standing guard on both sides must be from the rcenary Corps."

Ah Dai nodded, "Yes, they all seem skilled. It looks like the rcenary Corps working up this ti has quite a strong force! Besides hiring us, the convoy has also hired other rcenary Corps. The goods transported this ti must be valuable."

Xuan Yue smiled, "Big brother, your mind seems to work faster nowadays. Doesn’t matter who else they have under contract, anyway, we’re only going along to earn so travel expenses. Let’s hurry, it’s getting late and they’re about to set off."

The two walked towards the convoy, consciously suppressing their powers to appear like regular civilians on the surface.

Soon, they reached the convoy. Ah Dai asked a busy worker from the convoy, "Brother, may I ask where can I find Mr. Mulat?"

The man, after finishing loading his goods, gave Ah Dai a scrutinizing look, and assuming him to be a worker from the convoy, pointed to the front, "Chairman Mulat is there, leading us. You can go find him yourself."

While Ah Dai and Xuan Yue continued to move forward, Xuan Yue said, "Big brother, Mulat turns out to be the Chairman. It seems like our thousand gold coins will not be wasted."

When they reached the front of the convoy, Ah Dai spotted Mulat imdiately and hurriedly went over to him along with Xuan Yue.

"Mr. Mulat."

Upon hearing his na, Mulat turned around and, delighted, said, "You’re finally here, the convoy sets off soon." He assessed Xuan Yue from head to toe and asked, "Why has the priest changed his clothes?"

Xuan Yue replied, "Have you ever seen a priest working as a rcenary? I don’t want people from the Church to know, it’s safer to wear civilian clothes."
