The Pope furrowed his brows slightly and said, "What you have said makes sense. I will try my best to keep him from becoming an enemy of the Church. As for all else in the future, we shall leave it to fate." The image of Xuan Yue flashed in his mind. According to Xuan Ye’s report, his granddaughter’s relationship with Ah Dai was far from ordinary. In order to ensure the Church’s continued survival on the continent, he might have to make use of this relationship in the future.

Three days later, in the Holy Church’s Prayer Temple.

Consciousness gradually returned to Ah Dai. The sour pain radiating from his entire body made it difficult for him to move. The True Qi in his body seed to be circulating on its own, and his veins felt rigid. As his consciousness beca increasingly clear, Ah Dai gradually regained control of his body and recalled the events that had transpired. He suddenly opened his eyes wide and cried out, "Big brother, sister, Xing Er, run!" Intense fear filled his chest as he sat up abruptly and gasped for breath.

"Ah Dai, you finally woke up." Yan Shi’s excited voice could be heard. It was then that Ah Dai took a clear look at his surroundings; he was in an unbelievably large room. Surrounding him were Yan Shi, Zhuo Yun, Xing Er, Xuan Ye, and an elderly man in a golden sacrificial gown wearing a golden crown. Seeing that Yan Shi and the others were unhard, Ah Dai heaved a sigh of relief and muttered, "Am I dreaming?" Yan Shi grabbed one of Ah Dai’s hands and choked back, "Brother, you scared us to death. If you had died, we would have followed you to the grave."

Seeing the sincere expression on Yan Shi’s face ward Ah Dai’s heart. He smiled slightly and said, "Big brother, as you can see, I’m fine. Where exactly is this place, and why is Uncle Xuan Ye... and the High Priest, here?"

The Pope anticipated Ah Dai waking up around this ti, so he had already arrived in the Prayer Temple. He smiled faintly and said, "That’s because you’re in the Holy Church’s Prayer Temple."

Yan Shi quickly gave Ah Dai a brief account of what had happened after he lost consciousness. It wasn’t until he heard Yan Shi’s narrative that Ah Dai truly understood. He scratched his head and said with a wry smile, "The Judgnt Chief could have just told that he was trying to test . There was no need to be so severe. Pope, thank you for saving ."

The Pope smiled and said, "It was our mistake to begin with. If the Judgnt Chief hadn’t tested you, you wouldn’t have suffered such severe injuries. It was only right that we healed you. Besides, without the guarantee of your rich True Qi, there would have been nothing I could do! How do you feel now? Is everything normal?"

Gratitude shone in Ah Dai’s eyes as he jumped off the altar and moved his body a bit. He said, "Thank you. I feel a bit weak, but besides that, I’m fundantally okay."

The Pope nodded and said, "It’s normal to feel weak. You’ve been using the True Qi in your body to sustain your life for more than ten days without eating anything. How could you not feel weak? Alright, Xuan Ye, take Ah Dai to get sothing to eat first. Let him rest properly. I’ll talk to him tomorrow." Xuan Ye imdiately agreed respectfully.

Looking at the warm smile on the Pope’s face, Ah Dai felt a warm feeling in his heart, and respect shone in his eyes. Seeing his expression, the Pope knew that his purpose for this trip had been achieved. He gave a nod to Ah Dai, and disappeared in a flash of light from the hall.

After the Pope left, Xuan Ye coldly glanced at Ah Dai a few tis. In his opinion, Ah Dai’s looks were average at best. Now that he had shaved his head, he looked even more rustic. No matter how he looked at him, he wasn’t pleasing to his eye. He couldn’t understand why his daughter had liked him in the first place, but thankfully Yue Yue had forgotten him now. Xuan Ye said indifferently, "Follow . I’ll show you where to rest."

Xuan Ye led the five of them into a luxurious villa located in the Church’s Divine Mountain, which was specially set for guests. They were allocated three rooms. The Yan Shi brothers hadn’t had a good rest in the past two days, so as soon as they confird that Ah Dai was okay, they went into their room and fell asleep. Both Zhuo Yun and Xing Er were exhausted, and although Xing Er wanted to stay with Ah Dai longer, Zhuo Yun, fearing that her energy would get too depleted and weaken the bloodline of the Elf King within her, forced her back to their room to ditate.

After Xuan Ye brought Ah Dai to his room, he ordered his n to bring so light food for Ah Dai. "Alright, have sothing to eat and rest. I’ll take you to et the Pope tomorrow." After saying this, he turned and headed out. Perhaps it was the humiliation he had suffered on Tian Gang Mountain that made it impossible for him to feel any goodwill towards Ah Dai, even if Ah Dai was the Savior.

"Uncle Xuan Ye," Ah Dai anxiously called out to Xuan Ye.

With his back to Ah Dai, Xuan Ye said coldly, "Don’t call uncle. You can just call by my na, or call High Priest Xuan Ye. I cannot bear the title of uncle. Just say what you have to say."
