But his daughter was already head over heels for him, and even if he tried to stop it, it probably wouldn’t make any difference, especially since he had already agreed not to interfere with them. Rembering how Ah Dai forcibly stopped the Nine Heavens God Thunder in a match to save his reputation and life, Xuan Ye sighed softly, thinking it’s over. He respectfully said to the Pope, "All decisions rest with you, Your Holiness."
The Pope nodded approvingly at his son and turned his gaze back to Ah Dai, speaking sternly, "Ah Dai, strictly speaking, you and Xuan Yue are fundantally impossible to be together."
Upon hearing this, Ah Dai imdiately panicked and quickly said, "Your Holiness, Xuan Yue and I sincerely love each other. Please grant us your blessing."
The Pope slightly smiled and said, "Why are you so anxious, silly boy? I haven’t finished speaking yet. The reason I said you couldn’t be together is that you’re not a clergy mber. The clergy of the Church, especially soone as esteed as Yue Yue, can only combine with the most loyal devotees of the Sky God. However, your Tian Gang Sword Sect does not seem to worship the Sky God. But don’t fret, let finish. Although you are not a devotee of the Sky God, you are the Savior sent by the Sky God to save the continent, which makes you close to the divine. Therefore, I reluctantly agree to your request. But if Yue Yue disagrees, there’s nothing I can do. Yue Yue, are you willing to get engaged to Ah Dai and beco his fiancée?"
Xuan Yue’s delicate body trembled slightly, and she turned her head to look at Ah Dai, eting his affectionate gaze. The burning light made Xuan Yue’s heart warm, and she softly said, "I—I am willing."

Ah Dai finally realized, and with a thud, he knelt before the Pope and Xuan Ye, respectfully saying, "Ah Dai pays his respects to Grandpa and Father-in-law."
The Pope laughed and said, "Alright, stand up. Ah Dai, as long as you treat Yue Yue well in the future, we’ll be satisfied."
Ah Dai quickly said, "Grandpa, rest assured, I will take good care of her. I will use my lifeti to protect her and ensure she remains unhard."
Xuan Ye said plainly, "Ah Dai, you and Yue Yue are getting engaged before the Pope today. You should present engagent gifts." He still didn’t particularly like Ah Dai, yet he had no choice but to recognize him now, though he couldn’t help making things difficult.
Ah Dai was montarily stunned upon hearing Xuan Ye’s words and turned to look at his senior uncle. Xi Wen helplessly shrugged and said, "Who would’ve thought you’d be so eager to propose? I haven’t prepared anything."
Xuan Yue’s shyness had lessened sowhat, and she couldn’t bear to see her beloved troubled, saying to Xuan Ye, "Dad, he—he has already given the engagent gift, look." With that, she raised her right hand, revealing the Ring of Guardian.
The Pope had never paid much attention to the ring on Xuan Yue’s hand, but upon closer inspection, he was shocked, "This ring seems to be a Magic Artifact!"
Xuan Yue nodded and said, "Yes! This is the Lower Class Guardian Ring of Artifact recorded in our Church’s archives. Dad, Ah Dai used a Divine Artifact for an engagent gift. Isn’t that sufficient?"
Xuan Ye said sowhat crossly, "Girls are so inclined outward! You haven’t married him yet, and you’re already speaking favorably for him."
Xuan Yue defended, "I’m just stating the truth."
Ah Dai suddenly rembered sothing, recited the Spell of Dragon’s Blood, and amidst the shimring blue light, a jade-green crystal hovered to his hand. Ah Dai held the crystal in front of the Pope and Xuan Ye and said, "Back then, while learning from Master Ancestor at Tian Gang Mountain, I killed a Giant Spirit Snake lasting a millennia. Master Ancestor took two Giant Spirit Snake Eyes from it. I ate one, and have always prepared this one for Yue Yue, just never found the chance. Let this and the Ring of Guardian be my engagent gifts for Yue Yue."
Understanding the value of the Giant Spirit Snake Eyes, Xuan Ye had nothing left to say, looked helplessly at the Pope, and withdrew to one side.
Xuan Yue curiously took the Giant Spirit Snake Eye crystal from Ah Dai’s hand, frowned, and said, "I’m not eating any snake eye; that’s gross."
Ah Dai smiled and said, "This is great for your eyesight, doesn’t taste weird. Try it."
Xuan Yue hesitantly looked at Ah Dai, unwilling to refuse his goodwill, and frowned as she swallowed the Giant Spirit Snake Eye. The green crystal transford into a fragrant airflow, sliding into her body. A warmth arose, and Xuan Yue instantly felt extrely comfortable, exclaiming in surprise, "It really doesn’t taste bad!"
