In these two months, Ah Dai spent most of his ti cultivating and his True Qi grew increasingly more profound. The first Golden Body in his Dantian was now nearly five inches tall, while the second one at his chest was less than three inches. Although he had not yet advanced to the sixth Realm, Ah Dai knew that with his current power, he should be able to defeat the Western Swordsman. Sotis, even he himself found his powers incredulous—the massive energy that flowed with every movent he made.
During these two months following Ah Dai, aside from discussing matters about the Assassin’s Guild, the two of them rarely spoke. Even when walking, they did so one in front of the other, almost like two strangers. Mie Feng found that she was starting to understand this tall man less and less. No matter how many opponents there were, he would take care of them effortlessly. It seed that aside from killing and cultivating, there was nothing else in his life. However, the occasional flash of desolation deep in his eyes would cause Mie Feng’s heart to tremble—it was not sothing a person devoid of emotions could exhibit!
A day had passed since they eradicated the last stronghold. Since there were few people in the last stronghold, Ah Dai’s murderous intent was not greatly stirred. After resting for a day, Ah Dai decided to head to the next stronghold.
Tai Ang City, located in the Southwest of the Empire of Sunset City within Luzi Province and also the capital of the Luzi Province, was a place Ah Dai had visited before during the rescue of the Elves. This industrial city of the Empire was relatively less corrupt and decayed compared to other areas. A third of the major manufacturing industries in the Empire had their headquarters here.
Walking on the streets of Tai Ang City, Mie Feng said, "This is a larger branch of the Assassin’s Guild, even bigger than the one in Dark City of the Dark Province. You should be careful later."
Ah Dai nodded and asked, "Do you think they can handle ? Where is the branch located?"
Mie Feng replied, "It’s in a large warehouse on the east side of the city. It used to be a granary, but for so reason, it was taken over by the Assassin’s Guild. The granary is surrounded by their guards and ordinary people are generally not allowed to enter. When I ca to Tai Ang City for a mission previously, out of curiosity, I explored the warehouse once. The defense there is much stricter than you’d expect. There were at least five Stealth Killers, so I just surveyed the periter and then withdrew. This place, apart from the main Guild headquarters, is the one I am least familiar with."
Ah Dai nodding again, said, "You should wait outside for , I will be out shortly." Now, he didn’t take assassins lightly; in previous actions, even Stealth Killers had a hard ti getting through three moves against him. Hearing Mie Feng ntion that there were as many as five Stealth Killers here, the murderous intent in his heart grew stronger.
Soon the two arrived at the eastern part of Tai Ang City, Mie Feng pointed to a tall boundary wall not far away and said, "It’s inside here, there is a very large warehouse, typically aside from the patrolling personnel, other assassins stay inside. I estimate this may be a training stronghold for the Guild’s subordinates, you have to be careful."
Ah Dai turned to look at Mie Feng, her repeated admonitions making him feel a bit strange; her concern for him seed to exceed the usual bounds.
Mie Feng did not notice the puzzlent in Ah Dai’s heart and just gazed towards the warehouse from afar, "Did you hear what I said? Once you go in, make sure to take out the guards outside first, then infiltrate and try to kill the experienced fighters before cleaning up the rest. I’ll be here to help you from outside. As long as those escaping are not higher than the Stealth Killer level assassins, I can handle them briefly on my own."
Ah Dai shifted his gaze back to the three ter high wall, and said, "I doubt you’ll need to make a move." After speaking, he turned and walked towards the warehouse. Mie Feng wanted to call him back but opened her mouth without making a sound. She initially wanted Ah Dai to wait until it was dark to make their move, which could have been safer. But rembering the strength Ah Dai had shown before, she knew that her concerns were probably unnecessary. However, for so reason, Mie Feng felt a pervasive apprehension today, as if sothing was about to happen.
Ah Dai quietly approached the wall, concentrating his energy in his ears, probing the inside of the wall. In a mont, he was surprised to discover about twenty guards inside, whose strength seed formidable, almost as if at the Assassin level. A cruel smile played on his lips. Ah Dai leapt up like a leaf, aiming for a more open area inside the courtyard. As his body crossed over the wall, he precisely spotted a tall tree within the courtyard, where a guard was hiding.
The tree leaves rustled. With his extraordinary speed, Ah Dai quietly approached the guard from behind. When he got within one ter behind the guard, the guard sensed sothing but it was already too late. A firm Iron Cuff locked onto his throat, the sound of cracking bones softly erging, as the guard’s body slowly slumped onto the tree branch, his eyes turning ashen, retaining a trace of reluctance.
