The Elf Queen wore a solemn expression. Ah Dai had brought Xing Er, whose Bloodline of Elf King was nearly exhausted, into the Elf Forest without the queen’s notice until they entered the Elf City. Only then did the Elf Queen sense a faint breath of life and hurriedly flew out. She had overheard the conversation between Ah Dai and the other elf, and imdiately after pulling her daughter from the water, she infused her own Energy of Nature into Xing Er’s parched ridians. Back in Sunset City that day, it wasn’t that she didn’t want to help restore the Energy of the Bloodline of Elf King within Xing Er, but without the spiritually rich water from Elf Lake and the Elf ancient tree, she was powerless. At that ti, even though the energy of Xing Er’s Bloodline of Elf King was weak, the Elf Queen had estimated it was enough to sustain their journey back to the Elf Forest, so she did not urge Ah Dai too much. Yet, who would have thought that after more than a month, they still had not returned? These past few days, the Elf Queen had been exceedingly anxious, even sending out several parties of elves from the forest to et them.
Seeing the Elf Queen’s lack of response, Ah Dai couldn’t help but bla himself. If he hadn’t acted impulsively, using Thunderous Retribution without fully identifying the Judgnt Chief’s identity and purpose, resulting in severe injuries and delaying their journey, Xing Er wouldn’t have ended up in such a dangerous situation.
The four great Elf Envoys floated around the Elf Queen, continuously chanting Spells in the elvish tongue. Rings of green light emanated from their bodies, converging towards Xing Er. Suddenly, the Elf Queen let out a delicate shout, sending a stream of pale green Energy towards the Elf ancient tree. The tree trembled gently and extended several robust vines to wrap around Xing Er’s body, enveloping her completely except for her head, and under the Elf Queen’s command, slowly sank into the water, leaving only her mouth and nose above the surface to breathe.
The Elf Queen exhaled a long breath, appearing sowhat weak. She swayed and only steadied herself with Audi’s support. Ever since she had exerted her full potential by using the "lody of Growth," her Energy had never fully recovered. Just now, out of urgency, she had once again used all her strength to heal her daughter, further depleting a large amount of her Energy of Nature.
Ah Dai anxiously asked, "Auntie, how is sister Xing Er?"
A relieved smile spread across the Elf Queen’s face, "Don’t worry, your sister Xing Er is out of danger now. With so good rest, she will recover fully. It was really close! Her Bloodline of Elf King was almost completely exhausted. Thanks to you for throwing her into the lake in ti, the Spiritual Energy of the Lake of Elves preserved the last trace of her bloodline’s energy at the critical mont, allowing to rehydrate her ridians. Ah Dai, you have worked hard."
Only then did Ah Dai feel relieved. His grip unwittingly loosened with his eased emotions, and his body slipped, falling towards Elf Lake with a splash, water scattering everywhere. Ah Dai found himself subrged in the cool lake water. The Elf Lake was not deep, reaching only up to Ah Dai’s shoulders. The cool water sent a shiver through his body, eliciting a chill, and his awkward situation brought a smile to the Elf Queen’s face.
Audi released the Elf Queen and chanted a Spell. A stout vine rose from the water beneath and lifted Ah Dai back up, "Young brother, how could you be so careless?"
With a wry smile, Ah Dai responded, "This might be my karma for tossing sister Xing Er into the water just now."
The Elf Queen smiled lightly and sincerely added, "Ah Dai, I truly can’t thank you enough. Bringing Xing Er back is tantamount to saving the entire Elf Clan. On behalf of my people, I offer you our gratitude." Saying this, she bowed deeply to Ah Dai.
The Elf Queen’s gesture caught Ah Dai off guard. He quickly said, "Auntie, please don’t do this. Aren’t we friends? There’s no need for thanks."
The Elf Queen sighed, adding, "Child, as a human, your help to our Elf Clan has been trendous. It’s not sothing that can be repaid with a bow. From now on, whatever you may need, the Elf Clan will support you unreservedly. Now, let’s rest inside the treehouse." With that, leaving Audi and another great Elf Envoy to guard Xing Er, the Elf Queen chanted a Spell and led Ah Dai into the treehouse within the Elf ancient tree.
After a short ti, the Yan Shi brothers and Zhuo Yun were also brought back by the elves. Returning ho, Zhuo Yun was so excited that he could hardly contain himself. Under the Elf Queen’s leadership, the Elf Clan held a grand welco banquet for Ah Dai and the Yan Shi brothers. At the banquet, the Elf Queen formally announced that Ah Dai and the Yan Shi brothers would beco eternal friends of the Elf Clan and personally gifted them each an Elf Pearl, symbolizing the power of nature. With the natural Energy contained in the Elf Pearls, they would henceforth be able to enter and exit the Elf Clan’s Protection Barrier at will.
As night fell, the Elf City remained enchanting even in the deep hours, with a light mist floating over the waters of Elf Lake, shrouded in a mystical haze under the moonlight. Elves were accustod to retiring early, and except for patrolling guards, all had gone to rest. Ah Dai and the Yan Shi brothers sat by the Elf Lake, captivated by the beauty before them, their emotions indescribably relaxed. They had finally completed the mission entrusted to them by the Elf Queen, and their hearts were filled with indescribable excitent. Despite the fourteen lives of their fellow elves that they couldn’t quite forget, the Elf Queen’s explanation helped them understand: saving Xing Er ant saving even more elven lives, considerably lightening the weight of their regrets.
