Daniel watched helplessly as the thin General appeared in front of him.

Suddenly, the General blocked a strike coming from its right with its weapons.
Small chips broke off its weapons, but they recovered in an instant.
'What the hell?' Daniel thought.
His mind quickly scanned through the remaining Nightn and realized that none of them had been the ones that attacked.
"I told you to go with more attacking power instead of more recovery," the Duskbringer transmitted to Daniel.
Daniel's eyes widened.
"Nick?" he asked in horror.
"No ti to talk. Help ," the Duskbringer transmitted to the Nightn as he grabbed the fragnt of the weapon he had broken off.
Then, the Duskbringer threw the fragnt into his mouth.
The fragnt broke down into Pure Energy, and the Duskbringer gained knowledge of the thin General's biology.
Naturally, Nick had translated most of his Zephyx abilities to Pure Energy Techniques, and his ability to analyze biology was one of them.
An instant later, the thin General disappeared again, and the Nightman regained their formation.
During this entire ti, the Duskbringer hadn't unveiled itself.
None of the Nightn could see it.
But then, they received a complex transmission from the Duskbringer.
They still couldn't see either of them, but they now knew where the thin General was.
"Recover and defend!" the Duskbringer transmitted.
The Nightn looked at Daniel.
He was their commander, not this newcor.
"Follow his orders," Daniel transmitted as he slowly regained control of his body.
The dense Star Energy in space allowed him to recover his Pure Energy quickly.
Imdiately, all the Nightn gathered around Daniel in a defensive formation.
BANG!
An explosion occurred in the space where the thin General was, but the thin General managed to defend.
Then, the thin General struck back, and a huge spout of blood appeared in empty space.
The Duskbringer moved back, his chest bleeding heavily.
'I'm still not completely comfortable with battling at these speeds. My mind is picking up its movents, but my reactions are not intuitive. I've never truly battled with these Techniques before,' the Duskbringer thought.
The Duskbringer kept moving back, and the thin General shot after him.
By now, the thin General could also sense the Duskbringer.
But then, the thin General rapidly jumped back as a huge wave of energy shot past his previous location.
The Duskbringer was not alone.
The other Nightn were helping him from a distance.
This gave the Duskbringer a valuable mont to regain his calm and control, and he charged at the thin General again.
The thin General realized that it was in quite so trouble.
It could defeat this newcor, but not while the other Nightn were still present.
An instant later, a concentrated stream of spinning blades shot toward the Nightn.
"Do not move!" the Duskbringer transmitted.
The Nightn didn't have enough power to defend from such a powerful attack.
The only way to survive would be to avoid the attack, but that would disperse their formation, leaving them open to another attack.
"Listen!" Daniel transmitted.
The Nightn didn't move.
The stream of blades reached them.
But then, the stream of blades suddenly vanished.
DING! DING! DING!
The thin General defended from a stream of spinning blades that had suddenly appeared behind it.
'The teleport ability still works,' the Duskbringer thought. 'I used the Maw as an inspiration, and it seems to also work with Pure Energy. I was sure it would work since the aliens also use portals.'
'Sadly, it costs a lot of Pure Energy to teleport an enemy attack.'
"Attack!" the Duskbringer transmitted.
The Nightn imdiately launched several attacks from a distance, and the thin General evaded so while blocking others.
Every ti it blocked an attack, it was montarily stuck in its position due to the forces.
During one of these monts, the Duskbringer summoned a portal beside the thin General while also summoning one in front of him.
The Duskbringer struck-
He rapidly jumped to the side as several blades shot through the portal.
The thin General had noticed the portal and launched its own attack through it.
'I was too slow,' the Duskbringer thought.
'It's using a lot of Pure Energy with these attacks, but it has more Pure Energy than .'
'Change of plans.'
The next mont, ten Duskbringers charged out of the first Duskbringer.
They all charged right at the thin General, who kept retreating.
Why were there suddenly ten of them?!
It attacked one of the Duskbringer, but its attack just went through them without affecting them.
Illusions!
Yet, despite knowing that these were illusions, the thin General attacked all of them rapidly.
There was a high likelihood that the real one was among the ten illusions.
The thin General used several powers that changed its perception.
It knew that its own mind couldn't be affected due to its fortified nature.
This ant that these illusions had to be the works of warping space, light, Star Energy, or so other form.
An instant later, it felt a gravitational weight coming from one of the illusions.
It was putting pressure on spaceti.
The thin General imdiately struck the real body, ignoring the illusions.
Its blades penetrated the body, and a shower of blood exploded out of it.
But then, the General's instincts told it that there was danger.
It rapidly jumped to the side.
CRACK!
One of its arms cracked into pieces as the very first illusion cut through it with its blade.
The thin General realized several things in an instant.
First, the enemy could also fake gravitational weight.
Second, the enemy could swap places with an illusion by teleporting.
However, the General also realized that using so many complex Techniques in quick succession was a gigantic drain on one's energy reserves.
The fact that the enemy didn't manage to kill it ant that they had failed.
But then, the Duskbringer suddenly swallowed the arm he had cut off.
In an instant, more biological knowledge appeared in the Duskbringer's mind.
"Give so ti to recover!" the Duskbringer transmitted to the Nightn, appearing in the middle of their formation.
