Kill Me Protect Me, Mr. Bodyguard Chapter 66: Dinner Party

As Daren told Mike, he and Axel were going to a dinner party at a restaurant to celebrate the success of their short movie. Since Daren was the main character of the movie, he was definitely invited to co.

"What do you think, am I dressed well?" asked Daren as he straightened his favorite white blazer with a blue shirt.

He wanted to look his best at the party so that the producers would be interested in him. Daren thought that the movie producer might want to cast him as one of the characters in the movie.

"This is my big chance to beco a big screen actor! Play in a big movie and beco famous!" he said excitedly.

"Yeah, but don’t overdo it or he’ll get lazy watching you," Axel comnted.

He nodded in understanding and then asked his bodyguard to leave as he couldn’t wait to get there. Axel told Daren not to get his hopes up about anything, because big and extraordinary things co at a high price.

"I know! Let’s hurry up!" he replied as he pulled Axel’s hand to walk down the mansion’s hallway.

On their way to the elevator, Mike had just arrived and saw Daren and Axel who were ready to leave.

"Young master, are you leaving already? Isn’t the party still an hour away?" Mike asked.

"He’s looking forward to it, so we’re leaving first," replied Axel who walked past the butler.

"We’ll go first, Mike! See you tomorrow morning!" said Daren, who was focused on pulling Axel’s hand.

"Yeah... See you tomorrow."

During the 20-minute ride, Daren looked in the mirror to make sure he looked handso when he got there.

"Don’t you keep looking at that mirror, it’ll get so tired of your face that it’ll break," said Axel, who glanced at Daren.

"Because I’m too handso? It’s obvious. I’m the most handso Oga ever, most of them just look pretty and cute," he said proudly.

Axel rolled his eyes when he heard the man’s confidence. However, it was his confidence that made him look cute to the Alpha.

They finally arrived at the restaurant where the party was taking place. Daren saw the director who had arrived first because he was the one who made the order at the restaurant.

"Oh Mr. Jas, good evening!" greeted Daren as he approached the middle-aged man.

"Oh Daren, you’ve co so early. Are you impatient with that famous producer, hmn?" teased Jas because he knew that Daren wanted to get a role in the movie that the producer would produce later.

"Ahahaha... Yeah. What do you think he’s like? I’m curious and also I don’t want to disappoint him. So maybe you can tell what he’s like and what he doesn’t like?"

Jas rembered what the movie producer Hans was like, he told Daren that Hans was a nice guy but quite strict. He just needed to listen to what Hans had to say without arguing and maybe the man could favor Daren for a role in his movie.

"Really? Hmn... I’ll do my best for that!" said Daren confidently.

Jas then turned to Axel and asked him to sit next to Daren. He knew that the Alpha would be coming along with the actor so he reserved an empty seat for him.

"You can’t just stand behind Daren and watch us eat. So you better join us, co sit down!"

Axel turned to Daren and he nodded his permission. "Alright, thank you."

One by one the actresses and actors ca and filled the empty seats and at 8pm, dinner finally started.

They chatted with each other, laughed and enjoyed their food.

"Co on Daren, you should drink the alcohol too. A party like this isn’t complete without so nice, warm alcohol," invited one of the Alpha woman who handed Daren a glass.

However, just as Daren was about to accept it, Axel took it away first and swapped it for orange juice.

"You’re not used to drinking alcohol, so don’t force yourself to drink it or your plans to et that producer could fall through because you’re drunk," he said and kept the drink to himself.

"Oh right, thank you. I almost lost my chance. But where is Mr. Hans?"

"I heard he’ll be here soon, maybe stuck in traffic?"

They then waited for Hans’ arrival because they couldn’t wait to get a chance from the man to play in his movie.

And the man they were waiting for finally arrived, a middle-aged man with sunglasses walked in with two bodyguards.

"Is that him?" whispered Axel who didn’t recognize Hans.

"I think so, I’ve seen him on television but I didn’t pay much attention to him before," whispered Daren.

"Mr. Hans! Welco to our dinner party, please have a seat and these are the actresses and actors from the movie I just held a few days ago. They may be newcors, but their talent is natural!" said Jas.

"Really? Hmn... I’m interested in getting to know them better. Especially... Your main character. What’s his na?"

That’s when Daren stood up from his chair. "I’m the main character, my na is Daren Harry Wyne!" he said excitedly.

"Oh you, you do have a good aura as an actor. I’d like us to talk together after this, are you interested?"

His blue eyes lit up when he heard that. This was a golden opportunity for him and Daren wasn’t going to waste it.

"Sure, I’ll see you afterwards!" he replied.

Dinner resud. During the party, Hans kept his eyes on Daren who was chatting with the others. The look in his eyes was as if he really wanted that Oga.

Axel of course realized this, occasionally he looked at Hans which made the producer pretend to look the other way. Of course it made suspicion for Axel and he chose to continue watching the man.

Until finally the party was over and Daren and Axel went to a karaoke room on the second floor to talk alone.

"Co on in," he invited and went in first.

"Alright, I’ll co," Daren replied, following him.

But just as Axel was about to enter, he was blocked by two of Hans’ bodyguards.

"No one is to interrupt Mr. Hans’ speech. You’d better stay outside," he said.

"My employer is in there and I can’t be away from him," Axel replied with an irritated growl.

But they both still wouldn’t let him in, in the end Axel called Daren to co out for a mont.

"I can’t go inside, so you need to be aware of your surroundings, do you understand?" the Alpha asked as he straightened Daren’s blazer and patted his pockets.

"Sure, I won’t be long." He went back inside and the door closed.

Axel stood in front of the door blocked by two large Alphas. He leaned against the wall behind it while wearing one side of his headset.
