Ace Monalova stood near Daren as he smiled down at him. The Beta male seed so interested in Daren, especially when he first arrived.

"Oh about that... I went to get so food first. That’s why I just arrived," he replied. "You’re... Filming in this movie too? I didn’t know that."

"I see... Yes, I got the role of your partner, don’t you rember? I didn’t expect fate to bring us together again," Ace said.

"Huh? Fate?"

He nodded his head. "Yes, fate. The first eting was a coincidence. The second eting was a sign, then the next was definitely destiny that you were made for ."

Daren frowned as he heard that. He knew he had heard those words before, but destiny?

’Seriously, I already have a boyfriend. This guy must be hallucinating too much, or is he just getting carried away with the role?’ Daren thought to himself in wonder.

Since filming ti was just around the corner, Daren was quickly changed by the makeup artist. Mike stood nearby, making sure no one bothered Daren.

’Ace seems to have hidden intentions with Daren, but they’re still not apparent. I’d better keep my distance between the two of them so that nothing happens later,’ he thought.

He rembered Victor’s ssage to keep a close eye on Daren. There were so many Alphas and Betas who were interested in him. Moreover, the world of entertainnt was very dangerous and not everyone could be trusted.

"Daren can be very clueless about things, so you as an Alpha and also his manager must be more sensitive than him. If you really want the best for Daren, then you have to do your best too."

The words kept spinning in his head, but he could understand what he ant and tried what he could do.

Luckily the shoot went very well, Ace did not do anything strange so far to Daren during their shoot. The scene presented did make Daren look like he had a very romantic relationship with Ace.

That sa night, it was nine o’clock at night. Daren’s cell phone rang, indicating soone was calling him. Mike, who was holding his actor’s cell phone, imdiately saw that it was Victor who called Daren.

"The call ca in from him, but Daren is still busy with the shoot."

He then answered the phone and heard a man’s voice from the other end.

"So what are you doing right now? You’re not missing , are you?" Victor asked.

"Oh hey, it’s Mike. Daren’s shooting a movie right now, so I’m picking up the phone from you," Mike replied.

"Huft... I see. When will he be done?"

He replied that he wasn’t sure yet, it could be another hour or two. Victor sighed and said he’d call back later. However, before hanging up, he asked about whether Zach had reappeared around Daren or if there was another Alpha trying to approanching him.

"Zach wasn’t seen at all today. But there is a Beta nad Ace who seems to be trying to get close to Daren," Mike replied.

The man explained about Ace and how he and Daren had t. Victor was a little annoyed, but he couldn’t do anything about it because they were so far apart.

"Alright then, tell if that damn Beta does anything else to him. I’m hanging up."

Mike looked at Daren’s phone screen for a mont and then put the phone away again. He could sense that Victor was not happy with Ace, and neither was he.

In the room of the house Victor had rented, he lay in the dark. Only the light on his cell phone screen illuminated the room. He longed to talk to Daren and hear his Oga’s voice.

But he still had to wait for that.

Ding!

Suddenly a ssage ca in, but it did not co from his personal cell phone but the cell phone for him to work as a tutor, in other words, only his targets were sure to send ssages to him.

[LIAM]

Hey, Mr. Blade! Are you asleep yet?

I just wanted to wish you a good sleep and sweet dreams!

[VICTOR]

Yes, good night too.

[LIAM]

I’m looking forward to studying tomorrow! I hope we can get to know each other better.

"Heh, it was my intention for to finish with this mission. Strange kid," comnted Victor who no longer answered Liam’s ssage.

However, another ssage arrived on his cell phone.

[LIAM]

Do you always go to bed at half past ten at night? But our study sessions on weekdays always finish at 10pm. Is that okay with you?

[LIAM]

But if you’re tired, you can take a short break in my room, Mr. Blade.

[LIAM]

Everyone can gets tired, right?

Victor had no idea that his target was this annoying. He ignored it and turned off the cell phone.

Since he had nothing else to do but wait for Daren to finish filming, Victor chose to sleep.

In the middle of the night, he woke up and saw that the clock on his cell phone was already showing half past 1am. He intended to call Daren, but he was worried that the man was already asleep.

"Or should I call him in the morning?" he murmured doubtfully.

Just about to go back to sleep, his phone rang and it appeared that Daren had called him first.

"Speak to the devil."

Victor answered Daren’s call and finally heard the man’s voice.

"Hello, sorry I just called you. I just got ho and went to take a shower, are you sleeping?" Daren asked.

"No problem, I just woke up and wanted to call you but I thought you were asleep. So what’s the new thing you got today?"

"Oh so many things happened today!"

Daren talked a lot about what had happened during the day and Victor listened as he sat by the window.

Before when they are not that close, just hearing Daren talk used to make his head hurt, especially since the Oga kept pranking him. But now that he was used to it, it felt like Victor couldn’t escape listening to his voice.

"What about you, is everything okay?" Daren asked back after he finished telling his story.

"Yeah, just minor stuff haapend since it’s my first day."

After almost two hours of chatting, they decided to call it a day because they needed to rest. Both Victor and Daren lay down on their respective beds and looked up at the skyline of their rooms.

As they both changed their sleeping positions to a side-by-side position, they realized sothing was missing there.

Usually they slept together and kept each other company, but now they were separated from each other. There was only the emptiness of the bed before them.

"I hope he cos back soon."

"I hope to get back with him soon."
