Everyone had to disinfect before entering the room. Khalifa used her ability to quickly disinfect everyone, which just made her n worry.

She smiled mysteriously at them. "I’m fine, I promise," she said and the guests entered by batch to see the mother and the child.

Khalifa had already cleaned the mother and child with her ability before, and the newcors admired the pair with full hearts.

Let alone Chris, who sat next to his family on the bed and was sobbing his heart out.

"Wuuu…." He cried, "I’m sorry…."

Claire chuckled weakly, patting his cheek. "Go say hello to your son."

Chris paused and looked at the boy. His eyes were closed and Chris felt like he could fit it his palm.

"My son?"

Claire smiled and the others chuckled at his silliness. "Yes, your son."

After a bit of small talk, the n took Khalifa to rest well. Without further ado, Kylo carried her up, and they all went to the bedroom to clean her up of the bloody energy.

The ’families’ usually ate separately in their own hos unless a verbal invite was made. At this ti, the n were in no mood to socialize so it was only them at the dining table.

Kylo and Cauis sat next to her, while Jacob and Kaize sat in front.

As they ate, she noted their dark moods. However, they were obviously in deep thought and she only observed them for a while.

It was quiet as they had their als, but they wouldn’t forget to place so food on her plate. However, they would sotis miss their own plates!

Sigmund seed to be the only normal one at this point and that was saying sothing!

At so point, Khalifa had enough and put down her cutleries. "What’s wrong?"

They all froze and looked at her. Cauis, who was sitting next to her, leaned down and kissed her forehead.

"Not much, love," he said, "It was just a long day."

Kylo, the other man next to her, tried to feed her. She opened her mouth my instinct and the other n continued to eat as she chewed.

They were eating properly this ti so she let it be until they were all done.

After making sure that everyone had eaten properly, she imdiately went back on topic. "Tell ," she said. This ti, with more weight.

The n looked at each other, and sighed.

She blinked as she was carried to the more comfortable living room, surrounded by the concerned faces of her n.

"Would it be painful for you? The childbirth?"

She blinked, realizing what this was about. She couldn’t help but chuckle. She finally understood.

She forgot that they were outside during Claire’s childbirth. Half of them were even there the entire several hours it was happening. It was not a surprise they’d feel shaken.

"Don’t think too much," she said. "Perhaps it could hurt, but you forget my ability."

"Your ability is unpredictable at this ti."

"But it is enough," she said. "Besides, Sigmund developed sothing interesting that helped out a lot."

"We’ll ask him to give you when has more," was all she said, sounding quite mysterious.

Anyway, she couldn’t explain how it worked herself. It was better for them to see and try it for themselves.

She then looked at Kylo, whose expression was the sa but she knew him too well to know he was anxious.

"There’s sothing else."

"There are two," Kylo said, his baritone voice sounding even lower. This made the other n turn to him.

He stood up and led them to the eting room on the ground floor, opening the projector. They followed him in the room with a mix of curiosity and apprehension. After all, it wasn’t often that Kylo would seem so worried.

He showed them several satellite images. They were cities and towns, but there were also dense formations of black things, like how armies of ants looked when going through complex obstacles.

These were obviously zombies and they had seen sothing similar when they went on the rescue mission. However, this image was taken much higher up, showing that this was even denser than what they have seen.

"We had been monitoring the movents of the various mobs via the satellite," he said, showing a zood out image covering several cities and towns.

The large mobs were largely separated for now, but he showed how they were slowly converging through ti. With the increase in numbers of the super zombies, this congregation was likely to co even faster.

Worse, they were heading towards the safe zone. After all, most humans in this area had either fled or had been dealt with the past few months, so it was natural for the zombies to look for new prey.

"These are big mobs, and we concluded we’ll take heavy losses if we go against them as we are now."

Obviously, dealing with these mobs had to be done as early as possible, but the humans had dwindled already. They would want to keep as many lives as possible.

"So far, we have only contacted the bases in their paths, so believing, and so not," he said, pointing at the various bases that were now consud by the zombie tide.

"Those who listened managed to evacuate in ti before the mobs ca, the others…"

He didn’t say anymore, understanding the implications.

Kylo might not show a lot of expressions, but she could tell he was heartbroken from the loss of so many humans.

"The mob is growing too fast, too big, and it is estimated that it will reach the safe zone in less than a week," he said, alarming everyone.

The worst case scenario was for the outer part of the safe zone to congregate in their area.

However, leaving aside the fact that they didn’t want to, their area would definitely not be able to handle that many people—at least not yet.

It was simply not a sustainable solution to just gather everyone to the ports, maybe even the island.

The zombies would always co for humans, after all, and allowing them to stay so dense was only increasing the power of the super zombies—which evolved and strengthened after consuming hundreds of other zombies.

Leaving them be, would be disastrous—even for them.
