??332: Chapter 332: The Baby in the Suitcase

332: Chapter 332: The Baby in the Suitcase

Everyone expressed that it was impossible, but the suitcase man sneered, “Do you really think the staff on the train are good people?”

“It’s irrelevant whether they are good people or not,” the old man said.

“The ga should have rules for both players and the ga staff.”

“Since the conductor said it is the Butcher Carriage Monster, it must exist,” the glamorous woman said.

“Perhaps it will appear again at night.

Isn’t it more important to figure out how to defend ourselves than to argue about its true identity?”

“Get them to go back,” a man stood up, pointing at Xu Huo and the others.

“I’m getting off tomorrow.

Why should I share the risk with others?”

“We’ll go to the front carriages,” the female player moved to leave but was stopped by two players from the seventh carriage.

Her eyebrows raised in a challenge, “What do you think you’re doing?”

“Nothing much, just want you to stay put in your own carriage,” said the glamorous woman.

The female player sneered, “Aren’t you afraid that the Butcher Carriage Monster will choose this carriage?”

“The more carriages we have, the less risk for us,” the old man spoke up.

“Correspondingly, your risk will decrease as well.

As for whether you’ll be attacked or not, it’s all about luck.”

The point was valid, but the purple-haired player who had seen the carnage in the last carriage said, “I think it’s better to rge carriages.

Those sixteen players were killed in less than two hours; more people ans more safety.”

Other players had their own considerations, but in the end, they agreed to let Xu Huo and the others stay, though the atmosphere was less than harmonious.

To be on the safe side, a player used a prop to seal the back door, saying, “Seal the back and leave the front open.

If sothing really happens, we won’t be trapped with no way out.”

Everyone tacitly avoided ntioning the existence of the Butcher Carriage Monster to the players in the front carriages.

After dinner, as ti neared eight o’clock, the train made a premature announcent: “The train will turn off the lights, there may be slight bumps when passing through the Dinsional Rift, please return to your seats and refrain from moving around.”

Similar to the initial trial train, as soon as the lights went out, the sky outside rapidly darkened, plunging into darkness in a matter of breaths.

The breathing of more than twenty people in the seventh carriage lightened simultaneously.

“There’s no need to be so tense,” the old man said.

“I have a lighting device that will allow us to see inside without alerting the Alien lurking on the train.

If sothing really happens, I will use the device.”

It was both a reassurance and a deterrence.

Xu Huo watched as the man took out a light bulb and squeezed it in his hand.

After speaking, he quietly moved towards the front door of the carriage.

The man with the suitcase seed to be able to see in the darkness as well, his eyes following and stopping before he redirected his gaze to the others.

Xu Huo looked back impassively, and after a glance, the suitcase man looked away.

However, it was clear they were not the only two in the carriage who could see at night.

Skinny Monkey put his glasses back on and tentatively waved at the player next to him from the corner.

Given the distance between them and the smallness of his gesture, in the absence of light, it would only register with players as a sense that “soone is moving nearby.”

Skinny Monkey’s target was still the briefcase the man held in his hands.

He pulled out sothing as thin as a piece of paper and placed it on the ground.

Stepping on it with both feet, he took advantage of the faint scraping noise as he stepped forward and quickly arrived in front of the man with the briefcase, placing a segnt of incense before him.

The incense was different from the Sleep Incense sold on the bus, but the effect was imdiate.

The briefcase man’s eyelids began to droop, and just as Skinny Monkey was about to grab the case, the carriage suddenly started to jolt.

The pat-pat-pat sound, like raindrops, hit the windows for at least three minutes.

All players knew those were Aliens.

Compared to the silence of the Aliens on the preliminary examination train, these Aliens would scrape their nails on the window, producing a “squeak squeak” noise.

The noise outside “woke” the briefcase man, who suddenly widened his eyes in the darkness.

Seizing the mont when Skinny Monkey looked towards the window, he delivered a karate chop towards Skinny Monkey’s neck!

Skinny Monkey slipped and hastily retreated, but still received a cut on his neck.

Without saying another word, he ran towards the front door.

The briefcase man did not chase after him but watched him with a mocking expression.

At that mont, the sound of breaking windows started coming from the not-so-distant carriages, and within a few seconds, a faint light shone through from the front!

“How can this be!” soone in the carriage exclaid in shock.

To beco a Level D Player, surely no one was unaware of the rule against turning on lights at night.

With Aliens all around, wasn’t turning on the lights seeking death?

Even if a Butcher Carriage Monster had entered the carriage, there was no need for such panic!

“Bang!

Bang!” What followed was a series of dense explosive sounds.

Without looking, it was clear that the lit carriage was under attack.

The Aliens from the other carriages also rapidly ran towards that direction, like the roars of wild beasts rising and falling one after another.

The combat abilities of Level D Players were not to be underestimated, and considering the passengers from the neighbouring carriages being caught up in the lee, at least dozens of players were embroiled in the fight.

It was thought this commotion would last a long ti, but unexpectedly, the next second brought a high-frequency piercing sound from the front, which caused the Aliens on the bus to flee in terror!

While this high-frequency noise continued, the lights in the forward carriages gradually turned on.

Looking through a few glass windows, Xu Huo saw passengers from the first and second carriages during the day approaching, seemingly conducting so kind of search.

His eyes shifted, and he imdiately looked towards the briefcase man, just in ti to see him reaching out to open the briefcase.

The briefcase, barely ajar, emitted a familiar throbbing noise, along with a piercing high-pitched sound.

Although the other players in the carriage were oblivious, Xu Huo found it unbearable.

Covering the briefcase with one hand, he yanked it from the man’s grasp with his other hand.

The man didn’t seem surprised that soone had intervened.

With anger in his voice, he said, “I knew you were a lapdog of the Purge Team!”

As he spoke, he spat a needle from his mouth.

Xu Huo used his Sword to block, but the tiny needle forced him back two steps.

The man then flipped open the briefcase, revealing a purple infant inside!

However, the child was not dead.

As soon as he rolled out of the briefcase, he lunged at the nearest made-up woman.

Without her guard up, he bit through her throat, kicked off from the dying woman, and hung upside down from the top of the carriage, continuing to emit a high-frequency piercing sound!

Xu Huo quickly retreated several steps and turned on the carriage lights, but the infant lunged at him.

After Xu Huo dodged, the infant crashed into the carriage wall like a cannonball, and the light that had just turned on went out again within three seconds!

However, this commotion had already alerted the people in suits from the front.

Across the distance of a carriage, one of them threw a red jelly-like object.

The thing smoothly passed through several doors to the seventh carriage and exploded on the spot!

The splattered liquid was highly corrosive, injuring several players in an instant.

The frantic crawling infant, scalded by the liquid, let out a silent scream and then broke through the glass window, quickly crawling out!
