275: Chapter 275: Cannot Violate the Rules
Searching the amusent park on her own was impossible, so the only way to find this key point had to involve so effort with the puppets.
If the puppets were controlled by the boss of the copy, then every puppet they saw was essentially like communicating face-to-face with the boss, and everything the puppet displayed was the boss himself, which would, more or less, reveal so information.
She liked to eat candy, was willing to save money to buy candy for herself, and abided by the principle of voluntary exchange; she disliked Peng Ru to the extent of not even wanting to make contact, these behaviors combined seed very much like a child.
Of course, this “child” could also lie, so the things revealed might not be true.
“According to your speculation, there should be a special reason for the puppet’s dislike of Peng Ru,” Yan Jiayu said, “Could it be that she did sothing to provoke the puppet’s antipathy?
Since the amusent park is under the puppet’s surveillance at all tis, will our difficulty in clearing the level increase?”
Xu Huo listened to the noise inside the tent, “Since we share the sa goal, it’s okay to travel together for the ti being.
We can split up if the situation turns sour.”
Yan Jiayu nodded.
Before long, Peng Ru and Jin Zhao ca out of the tent.
Peng Ru had a minor injury and warned them, “Be careful, the bear inside is very fierce.”
“The ga for this level is guessing the coin’s position.
There are twenty soundproof boxes each hiding a silver coin, and guessing the position of the coin counts as a win,” Jin Zhao said.
“But if you guess wrong, the bear goes berserk and hurts people.”
“Thanks,” Xu Huo responded and walked into the tent with Yan Jiayu.
Inside the tent were other players, three bears sitting on the ground with differently colored multi-faceted boxes in front of them, each side of the boxes painted with a special paint that reflected colorful light under the lighting, slightly dazzling.
The two sat down in front of a bear, which took out a coin and covered it under one of the boxes, saying, “One person at a ti plays, if you can grab the coin under the box, you get a little hat, best two out of three.”
“How co the rules have changed?
Wasn’t it just about guessing which box the silver coin is in?” Xu Huo said.
The bear’s mouth spread into a grin, its head drew close to him, and it exhaled, “Has anyone told you that the ga rules in Bunny Bear Park can’t be changed?”
“Well, no,” Xu Huo gestured invitingly.
The bear raised its paw and pointed upward.
As Xu Huo’s gaze followed the bear’s direction, the bear rapidly shuffled the position of the boxes in front of it.
By the ti Xu Huo looked down again, the twenty boxes had all been moved around; it was impossible to tell which one had the coin underneath, and the coin inside the box created no sound when moved, making it impossible to locate by listening.
“Alright!” The bear stopped its movents, patted its fluffy thighs as if about to say sothing, but Xu Huo suddenly reached out, grabbing a box to his right front.
“I didn’t say start yet!” The bear shouted as it swung its palm-sized paw down.
But it was a feint, Xu Huo’s target wasn’t that box at all; retracting his right hand, his left hand simultaneously flipped open another box on the side and grabbed the coin underneath.
Holding the coin in front of the bear, he said, “I win.”
The bear’s eyes widened, its mouth opened and closed several tis, its fangs bared then hidden, bared again, then after a while, it puffed out its cheeks, sucked back the air, and only after smashing the ground with its fist did it say, “Again!”
Xu Huo won the second ga just as easily, tossing the coin up and down and said, “Best two out of three, I’ve won two rounds, the third round doesn’t need to start, does it?”
“It was agreed on three rounds, so three rounds it will be!” the bear said angrily.
“But I’ve already won,” Xu Huo said, “another round and you still won’t win.”
“I won’t do it!” the bear said, “If you don’t guess, I won’t give you the little hat!”
“Being a sore loser, huh?” Xu Huo said indifferently, “After I go out, I will definitely spread the word that the amusent park is unreasonable.
They clearly lost the ga but refuse to follow the rules.
Other than bullying the guests and children, they don’t do anything good.
I’ll also tell everyone never to buy Bunny Bear Park’s candy; it’s too expensive and sticky, and it’s a waste to benefit these stuffed animals.”
“Right, I still have half a jar of candy.
Maybe I should just throw it all away,” Yan Jiayu smacked her lips, “I’m sick of it anyway.”
The bear angrily looked at them, but quickly suppressed its anger and held its paws to its face, revealing a pitiful expression, “But the bear really wants to play the third round.”
Xu Huo tugged at the corner of his mouth, “Okay, okay, I’ll play with you.
But if I get the Coin again, you have to tell
where that question-and-answer ga nobody can find is located.”
All the other players in the tent couldn’t help but turn their heads over, one of them resting their hand on a box was caught unawares and imdiately seized, blood flowing profusely.
However, the outco of the ga was no longer important; everyone’s attention was focused on Xu Huo and the bear opposite him.
The bear didn’t seem at all surprised by Xu Huo’s sudden increase in stakes, it said with its paw in its mouth, “I can tell you, but it’s a secret of the amusent park, I can’t just reveal it.”
“Oh, if it’s difficult for you, then forget it,” Xu Huo played with the Coin, “If I play along, give
a silver coin.”
“What’s the use of this lousy Coin?” At this point, a player beside them couldn’t help but say, “Negotiate other conditions with it.”
The bear nodded in agreent.
Xu Huo seed to have picked up a bit of interest and said again, “If I still get the Coin this ti, you have to tell
where that place is.”
“What if you don’t get it!” the bear quickly asked.
Xu Huo looked at it in surprise, “If I don’t get it, I don’t get it.
I’m playing along, of course, you’ll still have to give
the Coin.”
The bear was shocked, “Are all you adults so shaless?”
Xu Huo nodded, “In the world of adults, you must give sothing to get sothing.
You make a condition, and I accompany you in this ga; it’s fair.”
“So, are we still playing or not?”
“I’ll play with you!” The player who spoke earlier stepped forward to take Xu Huo’s place and said to the bear, “I can put up my prop as collateral.”
Xu Huo didn’t care and indicated he could drop out imdiately.
The player was overjoyed and was about to sit down when the bear slapped him away.
The blood splattered from the bear’s paw all over the ground, the struck player’s neck was gashed open, his head tilting to one side as he breathed his last.
The bear then stood up; its body, which hadn’t seed so burly while sitting, now touched the top of the tent.
Its limbs and face showed signs of transformation.
The corners of its eyes cracked open from the angry glare, and it looked down at the other players in the tent while breathing heavily, “Even children know that you must follow the rules when playing a ga.”
The other few players cautiously retreated but made a silent agreent not to leave.
And turning its head around, the bear addressed Xu Huo with its current stance, “I accept your terms.
Shall we start now?”
Xu Huo nodded, and the bear let out a deafening laugh.
Then it stomped its foot and sixty boxes, each with three coins, flew up at once.
The bear randomly grabbed a handful and stuffed them all into its mouth!
