Chapter 2116: Chapter 2116: A Wrong Choice
An hour quickly passed, and Xu Huo and the Girl in the painting had to co out first and queue again.
Today wasn’t bad; they managed to get another turn in the evening, without waiting for the next day.
The Girl in the painting entered the ruins once and didn’t want to go in again, so after coming out, she sold all the equipnt she got from the boxing arena nearby, exchanged it for a large sum of money, and bought a lot of fireworks and children’s paper cards from a nearby shop. Then, she stopped wandering and focused on folding paper while staying beside Xu Huo.
She improved her previous paper animals, making them into shapes like cones or little knives and swords, and even enlisted curious nearby children to help her.
By the ti Xu Huo entered the ruins again that evening, she had several piles of folded paper weapons in front of her. Feeling finally satisfied, she tried throwing so out, imdiately creating several pits on the nearby ground and cracking a lot of floor tiles.
Thinking the effect was pretty good, she retrieved the few little things that went flying, although the Paper Knife and Paper Sword were now crushed.
No problem, she smoothed them out and tossed them back into the pile.
Unaware, the people near the entrance dispersed, leaving the empty street, where suddenly three or five figures appeared. Two ca from the front, while three scattered onto surrounding buildings, all eyes were on the Girl in the painting.
The Girl in the painting obviously noticed them too, so she grabbed a handful of Paper Knife and Paper Sword and threw them out, and these seemingly non-threatening paper products charged towards a player trying to dash into the ruins from the side.
"Bang bang bang bang!" The Paper Knife and Paper Sword created a series of pits on the ground, forcing the opponent back several ters, then the Girl in the painting pointed at the people opposite her, pointed at herself, and raised her communicator, "Co and fight ."
The players didn’t understimate her out of arrogance, but believed holding her off didn’t require that many people, so besides the two players coming from the front, the other three charged towards the ruins.
Not being inside a building space, it wasn’t her territory, so the Girl in the painting’s paper control range was limited. The people clearly gathered so information on her beforehand, knowing she could use Defense Prop, they imdiately used equipnt against her, first restricting space, sealing her along with those paper weapons, and two players attacked her mainly using close combat, displaying considerable practical experience, soon leaving wounds on her.
The Girl in the painting wasn’t a real human, so she didn’t bleed, and regular equipnt weapons were hard to leave wounds on her, so after two players collaborated and distanced themselves with the discovery that all they did was tear her sleeve, they exchanged glances and swiftly launched a second round of attacks.
Considering she probably possessed very high-level Defense Prop, but advanced items generally have a flaw, which is that they can’t be used continuously for long periods, they believed controlling her would eventually exhaust her prop!
The Girl in the painting wasn’t good at fists and kicks, with limited effectiveness of paper weapons, unable to papier-m??ché herself, she mostly stood there taking the hits, her clothes in tatters within a few breaths.
The Girl in the painting wasn’t the sa as when she erged from the Skinning Artisan’s Copy, though she lacked human sense of sha, she understood that in the human world, such actions carried trendous malice—even if it wasn’t the two players’ intention, the result was the sa, so when the two players closed in on her once again, she stepped back, making their weapons collide, then cheerfully slapped each one.
She promised Xu Huo she wouldn’t turn back into the painting in public, but she could scratch them with her nails.
Several long streaks of blood appeared on the players’ faces, one almost having an eyeball clawed out, after retreating and seeing the Girl in the painting again, they saw her shake her hand, then control all paper weapons to alternately attack a part of the sealing barrier, also pulling out a dagger adorned with trinkets from her backpack, stabbing at the barrier.
This item clearly had a high level, breaking the sealing barrier open in just a few blows. The Girl in the painting didn’t care about the two disfigured players, but ran straight towards the ruins entrance, only to run into two people coming out just as she was about to go in—these two were holding Spatial Power, invisible to her, and as she charged forward, Xu Huo suddenly appeared behind her, holding her in place while simultaneously using the ntal Portal to send one of the two back into the ruins.
In less than a second, the two from the ruins ca back out, five reunited, once again surrounding Xu Huo and the Girl in the painting.
"How did it beco like this." Xu Huo prepared to get her new clothes, but the Girl in the painting shook her head, "I’ll ruin anything new, they did it on purpose I know, they’re drooling over my beauty."
She feigned helplessness and leaned against Xu Huo, "They’re all bad guys."
"Filthy woman! Stop tarnishing my reputation!" the player with the scarred face shouted angrily, insisting they only wanted to kill, nothing like the vulgar jokes of those who harass won!
The Girl in the painting covered her face pretending to cry.
Players watching from nearby didn’t necessarily feel sympathy for her, but it didn’t stop them from mocking the group and stoking the fire, making the five attackers seem like the "bully
