Chapter 2075: Chapter 2075: Governnt Nutrient Solution
Standing once again on the bustling street, Xu Huo felt a bit of absurdity. It was the first ti he had been so openly aided in completing an instance, eventually earning a Rank-A rating. In addition to the basic rewards given by the ga and the items packaged by the Puppet Maker within the ga, there was an extra gift pack, which contained an "Instance Owner Favorability Coupon," allowing him a chance to escape when facing an attack from an instance owner.
On the street next to them, people from two shops started to fight, and it seed like the conflict would spill over to their side. The Girl in the painting waved her hand in front of him.
Xu Huo glanced at her, "Thanks to you, we got out of the instance so quickly this ti. Are you hungry? Let’s go get sothing delicious to eat."
The Girl in the painting imdiately nodded. She used her Communicator and said, "I want to buy pretty clothes."
The comrce in Ye City is quite good, with clothing and accessory stores available. Xu Huo agreed to take her shopping first.
C11-011 has unique clothing features, probably because of the multitude of religions they believe in. They love embroidering or sewing different patterns on their clothes. These patterns not only represent religious belief power but also signify different faiths. Wearing or carrying clothing with different patterns identifies one as part of the religion, receiving protection from it... It wasn’t uncommon to see two people on the street get into a fight after noticing they were wearing clothes with different patterns.
However, Ye City is better than Xi City in that they are not as exclusive towards other religions or ordinary people. To them, religion is more like a shell that distinguishes factions. Even if Xu Huo and the Girl in the painting went into more than ten shops buying clothes with various patterns, no shopkeepers refused to do business with them. So even thoughtfully gave them so badges. Wearing these badges shows the Outer District identity to the locals, ensuring that at least within Ye City’s borders, no one would get them involved in local affairs.
Xu Huo isn’t very interested in dress-up gas, so the clothes were mostly for the Girl in the painting. Each set of clothes also ca with so local characteristic jewelry.
"This lady’s temperant suits our shop’s clothes and accessories very well. Look, she wears them even more beautifully than our locals!" The shopkeeper, seeing the large bags in Xu Huo’s hands, tirelessly promoted expensive jewelry to the Girl in the painting.
Familiar with the haggling process, the Girl in the painting took charge in haggling with the shopkeeper, while Xu Huo followed behind as a human background, just needing to hand over the White Notes at the right ti when she finalized the paynt.
After satisfying their shopping desire, the two found a place to eat. During the al, Xu Huo asked if she wanted to go ho.
Previously, he had asked so questions about the Girl in the painting’s past, but all she had talked about were irrelevant things, like following different players who promised her a big house. She personally had no special requirents for living conditions. Most of the ti, when she switched players, it was because they were killed or disappeared suddenly. She always remained carefree, except for a slight liking for drama.
The Girl in the painting stopped eating, took out her Communicator, and carefully asked, "You being so nice to
all of a sudden, are you trying to send
away? Is this the last al?"
She skillfully pulled out a beautifully patterned handkerchief to wipe away non-existent tears at the corners of her eyes, looking at him pitifully, "I can eat a little less."
Xu Huo cut a piece of roast at for her, "I used to think you had no family or friends. Now it seems not only do you have them, but soone cares for you a lot. Don’t you want to go ho for a look?"
"Ho" didn’t have much aning to the Girl in the painting. Perhaps in her eyes, good and evil were indistinct concepts. It was rely her imitation of humans and their attitudes towards morality. So she asked Xu Huo in return, "Should I go ho for a visit?"
Before Xu Huo could speak, she continued, "But I don’t know where my ho is, and I don’t rember who’s at ho. The man with the hat in the castle was quite nice to , but I still like you more..."
She paused, gazing at him with eager eyes, "If you could give
another ’Bright Gentleman,’ I’d like you even more."
"Don’t push your luck," Xu Huo gestured with his chin for her to eat, watching as she returned her attention to the food. His thoughts drifted back to that scripture book.
The book was a primary prop, yet the Girl in the painting could seize control. Though the prop appeared to be a book, its actual material was definitely not ordinary paper. Judging from her operation, it seed as though any paper-based dium could be utilized by her.
Of course, she wasn’t a Player, so even if she seized it, she could only use the paper itself, without activating the prop’s special effects. But does this imply her power has increased?
Previously, she only played with ordinary paper.
Is it related to the dal of the Radiant Gentleman?
Xu Huo opened his personal panel and searched for the materials to craft the dal of the Radiant Gentleman beneath the Dinsion.
This issue appeared to have been studied by more than one person. Because the dal of the Radiant Gentleman could be accumulated and exchanged with the ga for Grey Player status, many were interested in it. Consequently, forums had over ten thousand valid holographic records analyzing the materials of the dal.
The materials of the dal that could be analyzed weren’t particularly special. It seed a small amount of Secondary Stone with special properties was added. However, there was also an extrely small amount of unknown components. Due to the dal’s preciousness, not everyone dismantling it could get a whole dal, and many experints were conducted with partial dals. Yet, whether using whole or partial dals, this unknown component could always be detected. It was a substance that couldn’t be matched with the current database of the Players. Considering the Ga Governnt’s intention to reclaim the dals, many Players believed the dals might have been created by a higher power, with the unknown component being sothing the Ga Governnt wanted.
This explanation wasn’t accepted by everyone since the ga did have many naturally occurring props. Mass-distributed ones seed more like products of an assembly line.
The Ga Governnt offered no explanation, perhaps knowing but keeping it from the Players. Eventually, this unknown component was jokingly referred to by Players as "governnt nutrient solution."
The Girl in the painting currently had four dals of the Radiant Gentleman: two gotten by Xu Huo, one given by Yan Jiayu before, and another one he bought. She didn’t like it much but still kept it. Recently, she tried more tricks with paper than when they first t, perhaps really related to the dals?
"Do we like dals that much?" he asked.
The Girl in the painting answered smoothly, "Just like them. I see them and like them; holding them makes
like them even more. They are my favorite."
Ignoring the hint in her words, Xu Huo picked up his chopsticks again, "Eat."
The Girl in the painting attentively poured him juice, preparing a napkin as well.
After the al, Xu Huo prepared to head to the next city. To avoid encountering random instances on the way, he planned to use a Spatial Teleportation Device to go directly to his next target city.
