Chapter 1989: Chapter 1989: Your Target Is Zheng Yuci

In the Agor Headquarters, inside an isolated office, Zheng Yuci quickly turned the Wisdom Sphere in his hand, unraveling layer after layer of chanisms inside until the last layer. With a soft "pop," the Wisdom Sphere split into two halves, revealing a small paper-cut red flower inside.

"Really, sir, I’m already so grown up, do I still need a reward?" He smiled as he picked up the little red flower, pinching it between his thumb and index finger and gently spinning it. Then he raised his eyes to look out the window, letting out a slight sigh, "I really don’t want to leave here."

There were also two Rank-A Players in the room, sent by Agor to protect him. Hearing this, they exchanged a glance, and one of them said, "Professor Zheng, this arrangent is for your own good. Temporarily leaving the Eastern District, once things are resolved, you can co back, and everything will be the sa as before."

"The sa as before?" Zheng Yuci said indifferently, "I traveled a long way to choose such an isolated place for research. Now that it’s been made public, how can things ever go back to the way they were?"

The two Rank-A Players not only had the duty to protect him but also to monitor him. So the other one said, "Professor Zheng, ti is of the essence, let’s not delay any further."

Zheng Yuci turned to look at them, his expression unchanged, only raising his left hand to lightly tap on the table.

In an instant, the vigilance and caution in the eyes of the two Rank-A Players disappeared, replaced by an expression of blankness.

Zheng Yuci watched them, slightly dissatisfied, and then asked, "Who was the first to disclose the ’White Blood’ affair?"

"The company has already sent people to investigate," one person replied, "It should be mbers of the Resistance Army. They were also the first to ntion the chip issue."

"Not them." Zheng Yuci asserted, "If the Resistance Army had that kind of brains, they wouldn’t have been at a standstill with Agor until now. The first one to expose ’White Blood’ understood that the chips weren’t the truly important things."

"Forget it." He paused and then asked, "How many people are outside the Agor Headquarters now?"

"No fewer than a hundred Outer Zone players," the sa person answered.

"It should be within them." Zheng Yuci said, "After the large-scale action by the Outer Zone players, if they can’t breach the defensive barriers outside the headquarters within three minutes, you both personally go and dismantle the barriers."

The two silently accepted the order and left the room under his command.

Zheng Yuci walked to the window, glancing at the gloomy sky outside, "It’s raining."

Yuquan City began to rain.

The rain was not heavy, but it quickly made the entire city wet—enough to make the moisture in the air cling to the skin, causing discomfort. Everywhere was filled with the pitter-patter of raindrops, constantly drumming on everyone’s eardrums—the city had fallen into a silence akin to being deserted.

This silence persisted until the afternoon, as the sky grew darker, when the first batch of Outer Zone players made their move. They initially used explosive props and instrunts to attack the defensive barriers outside Agor and the Municipal Governnt.

Such a scenario made it inevitable for Eastern District players not to resist, leading to small-scale skirmishes.

With well-equipped gear on the Eastern District side, the Outer Zone players gained little advantage, so the first wave of combat lasted only two minutes before concluding with the Outer Zone players retreating.

About half an hour later, the first batch of Outer Zone players began their action. This ti, those who ca were prepared and quickly broke through the defensive barriers. This group of around twenty people dispersed, with the majority entering the square in front of the Agor Headquarters, only to be trapped inside by the reassembled defensive barriers.

In terms of numbers, they were certainly outmatched by the Eastern District players, so they quickly fell into a disadvantage. At this mont, so players while fighting attempted to rally the spectators outside.

However, the crowd remained unmoved.

After this batch clashed with the Eastern District players for over ten minutes—both sides expending a large number of props and instrunts with significant casualties—a third batch of players took action.

This action was carried out by a group of players who had been pre-arranged. They cut in from above the defensive barrier, aiming to break it and parachute onto the rooftop of the building. However, they did not expect that Agor Headquarters had a second line of defense ready. After they breached the barrier, a new prop took effect—the newly ford defensive barrier had a strong impact force, bouncing all the airborne players out. Two unfortunate ones caught during the failed transition of the defensive prop were imdiately repelled with such force that they coughed blood, forcing them to withdraw from the battlefield in defeat.

Those who remained continued to assault the new barrier; with one person wielding a circular prop that carved a hole large enough for two through the barrier, the third batch of players successfully entered Agor Headquarters. After their entrance, the barrier didn’t close back up, and a few Eastern District players attempted to activate a new barrier. Still, because the protective prop hadn’t fully depleted, the new prop couldn’t succeed.

Good opportunity!

The Outer Zone players sprang into action; several imdiately entered through the opening. Seeing this, the Eastern District players had to block the entrance, and the two sides comnced a prolonged standoff around the breach. However, with Advanced Props, defense tended to be easier than offense. Hence, these subsequent Outer Zone players experienced no progress for a while, and through the barrier, they could still see that besides killing those who had already entered, the Eastern District players were setting up small-scale defensive barriers continuously, layer upon layer, never-ending.

If this continues, even if they break the large outer barrier, there would be countless small ones waiting for them inside!

However, this stalemate didn’t last long before the entire defensive barrier suddenly vanished—not only the barrier enveloping the entire Agor Headquarters disappeared, but even the barrier props the ground players just set up all started failing one after another. For a mont, everyone lost either their protection or defense, and they were facing one another directly.

A brief mont of astonishnt was followed by ecstasy among the Outer Zone players, whether already inside or still observing, as they sward towards the Agor building!

"Should we go too?" Lao Zhou seed a bit tempted, afraid that if they were late, all the good stuff would be taken—not just the props and instrunts in the Agor building, but even killing a couple of Eastern District players would yield handso returns.

Xu Huo remained unmoved; he stood on the rooftop, silently watching in the direction of the building.

Currently, those battling with the Outer Zone players weren’t Agor’s top players. Speaking of top-notch, there had to be at least soone who could twist spatial rays to achieve a space-stopping effect, or perhaps the person who had a line shot at his throat the night before.

Qiao and Lao Zhou quietly left. Xu Huo turned his gaze towards the building on his right, where a masked boy appeared again. The other party turned and looked at him, speaking with a smile in his voice, "I can see it; your target is Zheng Yuci."

"Do you have a grudge against Zheng Yuci?"
