Chapter 1969: Chapter 1969: Caught in a Trap
"Agor is a technology company, with multiple subsidiaries producing weapons and instrunts, and research laboratories."
Whether it’s potion formulas or weapon manufacturing, these are Agor’s foundation, and arrangents are made for players to be tightly protected during cleaning. However, ordinary weapons are indeed inconvenient for players. It would be awkward to fight hard to get in and just see a pile of weapons.
"There really are," Qiaoqiao circled a few places he had filtered out, "These places are fairly normal, with nas and registrations as legitimate enterprises with the municipal governnt."
"There are too many places," Xu Huo said succinctly, "We’re looking for places closely related to Eastern District players, preferably focusing on laboratories and training bases. The Eastern District emphasizes ntal health, so if there’s special training or modification for players, there must be many psychotherapists accompanying them."
"Hospital." Lin Cao said, "Psychotherapists regularly check health, but other than that, they rarely leave Agor Headquarters. But it’s not a physical examination period recently."
"I do know of a place, not sure if it counts." The one in the black coat said at this mont, "A few days ago, a large batch of inspectors gathered in the Western District, supposedly for training but were actually sent to a trade company."
"Aren’t inspectors ordinary people?" soone questioned, "Would Agor Corporation really waste potions on ordinary people?"
"Not necessarily," Qiaoqiao said at this point, "Maybe they think using players for experints is too expensive, and inspectors are just right."
In Yuquan City, inspectors take the Evolution Potion and undergo certain training, making them more obedient and cooperative than ordinary people, which does make them suitable experintal subjects.
Everyone was silent for a second before quickly making a decision.
"Let’s try here, if we’ve got the wrong place, it’s just so inspectors, not a big deal."
"But if it’s the right place, it would be a big win!"
However, not everyone held an indifferent attitude; Lin Cao said, "Frankly, this is a waste of ti, obviously a place with a low hit rate."
But he misjudged one thing, which is that most people gathered here were actually just here for the excitent; their real goal is still to clear the level. Whether or not there might be special Evolution Potions for Eastern District players, it’s good to get them, but it doesn’t matter if they don’t. In other words, they are not as determined as those who have left.
"Alright, those who want to go can go." Lao Zhou said, "No need for conflict here."
Upon hearing this, Lin Cao no longer insisted on his opinion, and a group of twelve headed for that trade company.
Four directions, with three people each. Among them was a player who had evolved an invisibility characteristic, and he was the first to enter the trade company under the cover of another player skilled in manipulating instrunts, stealthily influencing the surveillance alarm equipnt, and only then notifying the people outside to seize the ti to enter.
However, just as they entered the building, before they could determine direction, they were trapped by Spatial Rays. The instant their bodies got stuck, everyone realized they might be in the right place, so the next second, they took out their props to quickly escape.
The blocking was not confined to the inside of the company, but also extended to the streets outside. Therefore, props that couldn’t exceed this range had minimal effect, and the group of twelve hadn’t yet freed themselves when twelve semi-transparent, wall-like things appeared in the air, encasing each of them and directly pushing them toward the central wall of the trade company.
What seed like a wall was actually hollow; the outer tal wall used for concealnt pulled aside, revealing four spacious rooms in front of them—in fact, this was exactly where they were being pushed toward.
The twelve individuals dispersed into different rooms, and the mont they entered, the spatial force squeezing them disappeared, while the rooms quickly descended.
"Is this an elevator?" Qiao, locked in with Xu Huo, spoke up, "There’s definitely sothing fishy here!"
Unfortunately, it wasn’t as good as they’d hoped but was a blatant trap!
The elevator was heading underground. The players couldn’t just wait passively, so before the elevator settled, they tore open the ceiling and floor.
When the floor broke open, light shone through, letting Xu Huo and the others know there were people waiting below, so they jumped upward imdiately.
However, Eastern District players lying in ambush around were prepared, imdiately using props to block the space above. When a force of gravity pressed Xu Huo and the others back underground, a thin light sliced across the entire elevator shaft, directly cutting the room in two!
This elevator never reached the bottom, the lower half dropped directly, then a swarm of ard robots rushed in below, blocking them and launching an intense bombardnt.
The modified tal panels could minimize the building’s damage from explosions. Even under Defense Prop protection, the players caught in the middle were rocked by frequent blasts and gunfire to the point they could barely hold their props.
"Damn it!" Lao Zhou was the first to rush forward, wrapping himself in several layers of Defensive Barrier and slapping a Gravity Device on himself, then charging into the ard robots, sweeping a large number away along the way!
The bombardnt temporarily halted; however, Xu Huo and the others hadn’t descended yet when they saw several long shadows flash below, like whips, and as they landed, a dozen ropes with tal suction cups flew out. Lao Zhou, in front, had already been entangled; once these things activated the barrier, they directly adhered to it, and in re seconds could dissolve a layer of prop barrier, breaking through it or directly attaching themselves to the player’s worn props, thereby weakening their strength with each push and pull!
In fact, not only were they in front, but on both sides too, except Xu Huo and the others, with their abundance of defense props being used in a pile, preventing them from being fully trapped in the surround.
"Smooth as a ball!" Qiaoqiao threw a spinning flying knife inside; after it flew out, it circled them, imdiately slicing through all the surrounding telescopic cups, yet they hadn’t caught their breath when others filled in from behind, and hundreds of high-powered floodlights were lit, firmly surrounding them from front and back.
Under such intense light, it’s hard to see if there are players ambushed at a distance, let alone see the telescopic cups approaching closely. Squinting your eyes only makes them water from the irritation.
"I tried; there’s a barrier behind the machines, Eastern District people are not in there!" A player, dodging the telescopic cups and wearing goggles on his head, was distracted for a mont, when a bullet from the corner pierced through both his Defensive Barrier and his head!
