Capítulo 1965: Chapter 1965: Adding Fuel to the Fire Before It Starts

At this mont, many people were undergoing surgery, yet neither the municipal governnt nor the hospital issued any retreat order. When Xu Huo broke into a certain floor, he was first greeted by three players!

“Twenty ters away from , thanks!” One of them raised a hand in a stopping gesture, and under his special ability, Xu Huo, who had just stepped into the corridor, was instantly knocked backward by a strange force. Behind him, a net launched by an ard robot was cast, and several sides converged, almost enveloping him completely!

Xu Huo didn’t use Spatial Power; instead, he used a Secant Line to cut the nets into pieces, simultaneously sweeping away several robots. Then he made an “irresistible” request for a photo to the player guarding the window of the Eastern District, successfully re-entering the building.

Besides the three players, two others stood in front of the operating room door. As soon as Xu Huo stepped back into the corridor, the walls and floors suddenly blossod with dense flowers. Visually, these flowers were ford from the wall plaster and tiles, but they swiftly deconstructed, and each petal and stan turned into sharp weapons, whistling towards the invading enemy!

The barrier of the “Unassailable Territory” was tightly sealed. Although these things couldn’t penetrate the defense, they perfectly blocked Xu Huo’s view. He could feel two players coming to attack from the left and right, followed by a huge box closing in.

Eastern District players had the custom of capturing Outer Zone players alive, and it seed likely that when the box was closed, there would be so chanism like the Sting Bracelet. Thus, Xu Huo switched his Defense Prop to “Ideal Skin” and then opened a hole in the floor to jump down to the next level.

However, players awaited him downstairs as well. The mont he landed, a fra swiftly closed in from both sides, encircling him in the center. Although the fra prop didn’t directly touch him, it held him securely at a distance!

Xu Huo used “Harmonious Atmosphere,” instantly rendering most of the props around him ineffective. The fra prop fell to the ground, and he seized this opportunity to break through the players’ encirclent, diving into a nearby room. Just at that mont, the door to the doctor’s office next door opened, and a long-haired man stepped out. As they brushed past each other, the man adjusted his glasses, their gazes eting for a mont before players sward in to separate them.

The long-haired man, escorted by six Eastern District players, was about to leave the hospital. Initially pretending to break into the operating room from downstairs, Xu Huo imdiately halted when he saw this. After using a “mory Flashback” on the players surrounding him, he used a spatial passage to move outside, only to see the man calmly board a flying device under the players’ protection.

The flying device blocked all views. As Xu Huo hesitated whether to stop it, a new round of combat erupted inside the hospital. It turned out that Qiaoqiao and Lao Zhou had followed him, and after realizing his target was the operating room, they imdiately took a turn inside. Conveniently, he had drawn out most players, allowing Qiaoqiao and Lao Zhou to break into the operating room effortlessly.

The person in the operating room was already dead.

“Well-intentioned and poorly executed.” Qiaoqiao erged and apologetically spoke to Xu Huo, “You wanted a live one, didn’t you?”

Xu Huo frowned slightly, casting his Spiritual World into the operating room to check on the deceased psychotherapist there. He then said to Qiaoqiao and Lao Zhou, “Continuing to tangle here isn’t beneficial for us; let’s retreat for now!”

To distract and disperse the enemy’s firepower, the three split up to retreat in different directions. After shaking off the pursuit by Eastern District players, Xu Huo returned to the hospital. Because he had just used Psychic Power, the mutant plants inside hadn’t stopped growing. He went straight to the director’s office and intercepted the director who attempted to destroy data. Not only did he obtain a list of abnormally dead children from the director’s hand, but he also acquired statistics on pregnancy loss.

“The report is quite well-done.” Xu Huo couldn’t help but sneer after reading it because the bottom of the statistics clearly marked a directive: won of childbearing age could safely have only one child within three years from their first child, and only one more child in the next three years.

Besides the high miscarriage rates promoted by the Eastern District’s municipal governnt due to environntal issues, the hospital perfectly filled the gaps.

Moreover, this data was universally used across multiple hospitals. Due to population mobility, many residents couldn’t receive long-term treatnt at just one hospital, so hospitals shared these docunts to ensure control over newborns.

This included the hospital ntioned by the middle-aged woman.

Xu Huo placed the director and five doctors from the list into the “staff dormitory,” taking them away. He wrote “Will Never Be Extinguished” on the wall, then swiftly changed his appearance and outfit. After distancing himself from the hospital and evading nearby flying devices, he t up with Qiaoqiao and Lao Zhou at a ga arcade far from the city center.

The arcade was relatively hidden. After booking a large suite, Xu Huo first brought out the six people from the hospital. “I’ve already removed their locators beforehand; next, we’ll get the truth out of them.”

He showed the docunts to Qiaoqiao and Lao Zhou.

They hadn’t completely recovered from the overwhelming bombardnt after the trench coat man’s setup, and they were a bit surprised by the content of the docunts.

“Unless one is desperately poor or restricted by environnt or genetics, most zones encourage childbirth to have a constant stream of players. Why does Yuquan City do the opposite?” Lao Zhou couldn’t comprehend. His mission involved Agor Corporation, and although he knew about the high miscarriage rates in the Eastern District, he hadn’t delved deeper.

“No wonder they recruit so many psychotherapists. It seems not for comforting those who frequently miscarry but to control them,” Qiaoqiao suggested. “With such strange miscarriages and minor hospital tricks, soone should have noticed, right?”

People living at the bottom of this ga society aren’t fools. Over ti, soone would definitely notice anomalies, just like that middle-aged woman who lost six children.

“Do you plan to use these to incite conflict among the people of the Eastern District?” Lao Zhou inquired.

“Sort of,” Xu Huo replied, “There’s bound to be a fierce battle between the Eastern District and the Resistance Army, and we might as well add fuel to the fire before that happens.”

Qiaoqiao nodded slightly, “The more chaotic the Eastern District gets, the easier it is for us to clear the level successfully.”

Their next plan was simple: record confession videos of the six, docunting everything from injecting Truth Serum to asking questions. Considered Agor Corporation’s complete control over the Collection of Information Terminal, the dissemination channel was set in virtual reality gas.

“Agor Corporation does this because they don’t lack players,” Lao Zhou ntioned again. “I noticed during the previous confrontations that the players from Yuquan City are completely different from those in other zones.”
