Chapter 1912: Chapter 1912: Learn If You Can

"These are all props made from your piece of stone," Elder Lu said, "I mixed in special minerals to enhance its radioactivity, so these props need to be stored in special boxes."

"Each prop can emit an airburst when used, covering about three ters. The enhanced radioactivity can impact the brain, causing dizziness or unconsciousness. This kind of impact can’t be defended against by ordinary tools. Although short-term exposure won’t make people sick, you must recover them after use, as leaving them outdoors for a long ti will impact the environnt."

There were twelve black balls in the box. After listening to her instructions, Xu Huo asked, "In that case, why did you still make them into props and give them to ?"

A verbal agreent is not binding.

The old lady leaned back in her chair and said, "You brought the minerals; making them into props is my job. There are no good or bad tools, only good or bad users. Besides, keeping them here is of no use. If one day in my old age I mistakenly give them to soone with ill intentions, that would be truly regrettable."

"I’ll take the props and settle the paynt with you shortly." Xu Huo put the box into his luggage compartnt.

The old lady took advantage of her free ti, bringing the two children to visit her studio.

"All important materials are put away. Here is the workshop, feel free to look around." The old lady turned on the lights and casually cleared off items from the table.

Xu Huo glanced over and remarked in surprise, "Is this an Instance Authorization Docunt?"

"Have you seen one?" The old lady was a bit surprised, raising her eyes to look at him, "I didn’t expect you to have so much insight at your level."

"I’ve been running around the ga for so long; I’ve picked up a thing or two." Xu Huo chuckled, "I didn’t know Instance Authorization Docunts were also crafted by Artifact Makers."

"The Instance Authorization Docunt is made from minerals using a special manufacturing process to resemble real paper, while being hard to damage," the old lady said nonchalantly, "It’s not a confidential technique in the ga, it’s just that the ga only issues instance authorization crafting tasks to Artifact Makers. Once the docunt is completed and passes the ga’s verification, it can be distributed to different instances."

In other words, like props, the Instance Authorization Docunt must also pass ga certification before being used.

"Do Instance Authorization Docunts have different levels?" Xu Huo asked.

"Of course, different instance levels require different docunts. The higher the dungeon level, the better the materials for the docunt. If an instance were destroyed due to a defective docunt, it would be a real joke." Elder Lu pointed to so blueprints with various patterns and let Xiao Yuan and Tan Qi try with the carving knife on the side.

Those should be the special patterns used to make props. Every ga-certified prop is unique, with restrictions on transfer and possibly a unique ’switch’ or ’verification’ key in the prop itself.

Xu Huo nodded to the two children, signaling them to follow the old lady’s instructions and select a pattern to try carving.

Having no prior experience, the two children instinctively started by drawing the pattern and then began carving on the nearby model stone.

The model stones provided were dium-sized, about two fingers thick. "When using top-grade mineral materials, precision is crucial. Handling minerals is basic for an Artifact Maker; if you can’t even cut minerals properly, there’s no point in learning further," the old lady instructed.

Fang Jie brought in so tea, smiling, "You scared the kids, although you said previously to relax the rules for children."

The old lady softened her expression, "I almost forgot you’re young. It’s okay, just do your best. Talent doesn’t matter much; true talent is rare in the world. I’ve been learning for a lifeti and am just barely competent."

Clearly, she wasn’t good at comforting people.

But this only spurred the children’s competitive spirits. Not only children, everyone resists acknowledging their diocrity before trying.

The sound of carving knives echoed awkwardly, with Xu Huo and the old lady sitting nearby, drinking tea as they waited.

Before long, the old lady grew restless, picking up a model stone herself and slowly carving a design.

Xu Huo understood that it wasn’t just about the ratio of mineral materials but also the construction of the final product for optimal efficiency. Though the actual effects can’t be known until the prop is ford, an Artifact Maker should have an idea of the prop’s application; this involves skills beyond inquiry.

He casually opened a notebook to read.

After about half an hour, Xiao Yuan declared failure. She hadn’t grasped the dinsions and couldn’t carve the entire pattern onto the small model stone. anwhile, Tan Qi, not stopping, was progressing much better, leaving her dejected.

Quietly putting down the model stone, she picked up a pen to practice on paper.

Another half hour later, Tan Qi finally finished carving.

Elder Lu ca to check the result, nodding, "Not bad for a first carving attempt; at least you have so control over the pressure."

She patted Xiao Yuan, who was a bit discouraged, "Don’t compare with others; compare with yourself."

"I understand!" Xiao Yuan nodded vigorously with renewed determination.

Then the old lady turned to Xu Huo, "Go on your way; I won’t keep you for dinner."

It was already agreed they could stay at the old lady’s place while learning Artifact Creation, so food and lodging weren’t issues. Xu Huo prepared to leave, "I’ll arrange their schooling and be back later."

The two children walked him to the gate of the courtyard, feeling a bit reluctant.

Xu Huo gently patted their heads, "Don’t push yourself if you can’t learn; eat more, rest well."

"Can’t you give us so encouragent?" Tan Qi couldn’t help but ask, "We’re really serious about learning Artifact Creation."

"Learn if you can, forget it if you can’t. That’s the normal mindset; there are plenty of other things to do, no need to get stuck on one thing," Xu Huo said, "I’ll be back soon."

The thought of separation left Xiao Yuan and Tan Qi unable to hide their expressions; Xiao Yuan asked hesitantly, "Are you really coming back shortly?"

Xu Huo laughed, "Just getting a reading docunt sorted; it won’t take long."

Tan Qi couldn’t help but roll his eyes, pulling Xiao Yuan back inside.

Xu Huo left in good spirits, eting up with Xin Rong outside. The schooling was entrusted to Xin Rong, and tasks like school admissions were easy for the Xin Family, as he brought electronic certificates along.

Knowing the kids would stay with Elder Lu, Xin Rong felt a bit sour, "Great-aunt treats you really well; she never lets

stay there."

"Offer a Secondary Stone as a al fee, and it might happen," Xu Huo joked.

Xin Rong pouted, "Ordinary minerals don’t interest her, and I can’t part with good ones, so I can only rely on charm."

"Not bringing kids today, why not co with , I’ll make arrangents?"
