Chapter 1805: Chapter 1805

Hearing this question, Fan Yunhong felt a bit unsure of himself and stamred, "It should be right. My dad said CK12 wasn’t far from the original Bear Market. Maybe we should just try to find it. CK12 was built on Shitou, so even if people have moved away, it’s impossible for the safe zone to completely disappear. Maybe we could find it by digging in the sand."

After speaking, he actually sat down on the spot, wiping his sweat while digging sand with his bare hands. After a few digs, he realized his hands were burned and imdiately stood up. With a slightly changed expression, he apologized to Xu Huo, "It’s been too long, maybe my mory is a bit faulty."

Xu Huo had no choice but to take out the three robots the Zone 019 Governnt had compensated him with, to see if the detectors could find any clues.

Under the scorching sun, looking around, all one could see were undulating yellow sands. Forget about plants, there wasn’t a speck of any other color to be seen. The temperature in Zone 010 was already slightly higher than other zones, making this sandy surface feel like an endless stear, where breathing itself was difficult.

Before long, Fan Yunhong couldn’t take it anymore and wanted Xu Huo to put him back into the painting.

"Stay outside for a while," Xu Huo said, bringing out his ’simple transportation tool’, a small RV rewarded from the ga, which ca with temperature control and stocked with so drinks and fast food.

After boarding the RV, Fan Yunhong curiously touched everything inside, muttering, "So this is what the outside world is like..."

Xu Huo took two bottles of water from the cabinet for him, but he seed more interested in tasting the alcohol.

Xu Huo then gave him a small bottle of alcohol.

"Thank you, thank you," Fan Yunhong was delighted, excitedly opening the bottle and savoring it in small sips. After a mont of savoring, he exhaled a long breath, intoxicated, "This is truly a godlike life."

Half an hour later, the three robots returned. They had searched within a five-kiloter radius but found no safe zone beneath the sand.

The RV couldn’t move on the sand, so Fan Yunhong had to once again enter the fra of the painting. Xu Huo, on the other hand, headed towards the nearby CK11 Safe Zone. This ti, he deliberately slowed his pace, using "Towards the Destination" to walk slowly to avoid missing any nearby safe zones. Unexpectedly, he ca up empty-handed once again, finding nothing where CK11 Safe Zone was supposed to be!

Xu Huo first sent out the robots to search, and he himself used psychic power to scan the surroundings. Not a single safe zone, not even a tal plate was found!

Bringing Fan Yunhong out again, he asked with a smile, "Where’s CK11?"

Fan Yunhong glanced around, imdiately doubting himself, "Did I mix everything up? It shouldn’t be, the location must be correct. Could it be that because I haven’t been out in years, the zones experienced an earthquake, causing the safe zones to sink?"

"It’s impossible for all the safe zones to have sunk," Xu Huo said.

Information on Zone 010 from Beneath the Dinsion was fragnted, mostly coming from so players who had been to this zone. However, players might not need to cover so many safe zones to clear the ga, so the information wasn’t comprehensive. Additionally, there was a ti span, with different tis in each zone. The ssages players sent after leaving Zone 010 might already be outdated, and given the harsh environnt of Zone 010, safe zones could have easily changed during the variable length of this period.

"Yes, yes, not all safe zones could have disappeared; there must be others!" Fan Yunhong clung to hope like a straw and imdiately suggested, "We can try to find the 13 Safe Zone!"

Xu Huo tried once again, and once again it was fruitless.

Three attempts and nothing, even if Fan Yunhong hadn’t intentionally provided false information, Xu Huo wasn’t going to follow the map drawn by him any longer.

Besides the administrative map, he also had so topographic maps of mountains and terrains, which of course couldn’t show their original appearance now, but these might help approximate locations where safe zones could be established—this thod was rather cumberso and had a low success rate, but it was worth a try.

After spending so ti in the RV, Fan Yunhong seed to have cald down. He looked at Xu Huo’s map and suddenly said, "I think this might not work. The safe zones around here aren’t many, and not every zone has the conditions to choose a good location. Perhaps we should look for other people in the nearby city in our zone? Maybe we’ll get lucky and run into a convoy from a safe zone."

"Are there safe zones mining in the desert?" Xu Huo casually asked, not pausing in his actions.

"Yes," Fan Yunhong replied, "There’s ore underground, but getting it out isn’t easy. Sotis, though, you might get lucky and catch a gust of wind that unearths the dunes. Ore can be brought out to exchange for better machinery and seeds."

Xu Huo nodded, after loading both people and the RV, he sped towards a nearby larger city.

This ti at least, there wasn’t a complete absence of results, as he saw a city standing resiliently on a sand dune. Thanks to its dense and towering buildings, it hadn’t been entirely consud by the yellow sands.

Upon entering from one corner of the city, Xu Huo found that although it wasn’t a safe zone, it appeared to have housed long-ti inhabitants. So buildings or communities had protective nets set up outside, though most had been destroyed, and the few that remained intact only contained desiccated corpses or piles of white bones.

Judging from so counting marks, it seed the survivors here perished one by one over four or five years ago, mostly either killed or starved to death. Occasionally, he found so hunting traps and a few alien bones.

However, trying to use aliens as a backup food source didn’t work, primarily because hunting aliens was extrely difficult. Records indicated that consuming alien at led to accelerated worsening of Black Thorn disease.

Xu Huo found a total of five hunting traps, three of which were successful: so caught entire aliens, and so gathered the short limbs left by aliens. Those who managed to consu alien at made detailed records, with one person even ntioning that he suspected what he caught were regular humans from Zone 010, who had either regressed or were infected by alien toxins but hadn’t died.
