Chapter 1791: Chapter 1791: Reputation Belongs to the Family, Life to Oneself

Xu Huo laughed, “You’re pretty smart, exchanging interest for dals?”

The Girl in the painting hesitated, “I’ll give you all my money, can I have the dal?”

While speaking, she pitifully tugged on his sleeve, trying her best to widen her teary eyes.

“How about this,” Xu Huo replied, “You don’t charge

interest for borrowing money, and I won’t charge you interest for borrowing the dal, deal?”

The Girl in the painting tilted her head, thought for a mont, and quickly agreed happily to the deal, pulling Xiao Yuan to the stern to see the glowfish.

Tan Qi didn’t leave; he glanced at Xu Huo, “Doesn’t your conscience hurt? Did you keep all the money and props that should’ve been given to Sister Li Chun?”

The Girl in the painting wanted a dal, so she proposed using all the items from the Special Defense Departnt to exchange, but Xu Huo didn’t relent. In theory, the Girl’s items were just stored with him, they didn’t belong to him.

Xu Huo glanced at him, “Do you want to lend

money too?”

Tan Qi turned and left.

Xu Huo leaned back in the chair, enjoying the night breeze, and closed his eyes in relaxation.

There were quite a few people at the vacation resort for leisure, after two days, not only Xiao Yuan and Tan Qi, but even the Girl in the painting sensed a bit of differential treatnt from various circles. Influential nobles have more privileges than ordinary small nobles, and small nobles have more privileges than regular wealthy people, whether it’s choosing a boat or using other recreational facilities. Others just accepted these rules, sotis even actively complying. As for those unwilling to comply, the resort won’t make things difficult for them, but it depends on the temperant of the rejected party. To live in Zone 011, you can’t ignore the attitudes of nobles.

For instance, on the third day, the manager subtly ca to Xu Huo’s room, asking if he would give up his reserved underwater adventure package, as soone was willing to pay a hundred thousand White Notes for it.

“Can it be postponed?” Xu Huo asked.

The manager looked troubled, “It’s really all booked up in the coming days…”

“Alright,” Xu Huo said, “Please decline for .”

The manager left, still looking troubled.

No trouble followed, but when it ca ti to board the ship, they ran into another group of people; those buying the package seed to have found another way to go underwater.

Most of them were unfamiliar faces to Xu Huo, only two had been glimpsed at a charity gala before.

The two sides weren’t far apart, the others didn’t avoid speaking in his presence.

“Isn’t this the Money Scatterer?” one person said enviously, “I was wondering who was so lavish.”

“What kind of nickna is Money Scatterer?” another, who had seen Xu Huo but didn’t pay attention to him before, asked.

“Ever since he inherited the Rose Castle, he’s been attending every charity gala, every charitable donation he can,” the first speaker assud a disdainful look, seemingly dismissive of such actions, then deliberately added, “I heard he has a good relationship with Lady Lily.”

Regardless of whether among them or the noble offspring accompanying them, they all looked down on Xu Huo’s attempts to blend into the higher noble circle, especially with a hint of scandal involved. The group directly bypassed him and moved on.

Unaware, the Girl in the painting rely felt that those people were a bit strange, while the precocious Xiao Yuan and Tan Qi instinctively glanced at Xu Huo.

Xu Huo had already prepared the diving props, ready to dive with them.

“Weren’t you not planning to go?” Tan Qi stared at him, “Are you planning to deal with them?”

“Why don’t I send you back to do howork?” Xu Huo patted his head, smiling.

Tan Qi dodged away, pursed his lips, and said, “You can do whatever you want, just don’t drag

into it.”

“Well, if a fight breaks out, I’ll make sure you all run first.” Xu Huo said casually.

Tan Qi walked into the bubble barrier of the diving props with a stern face.

The subsequent activities proceeded without incident, Xu Huo and the others viewed so underwater scenes and participated in a fish-catching activity designed for children. In the end, the Girl in the painting and Xiao Yuan thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Once ashore, Tan Qi appeared slightly relieved, ran over to speak a few words with Xiao Yuan, and the two returned to their rooms first.

The Girl in the painting, carrying the fish she caught, excitedly expressed her desire to showcase her new cooking skills to Xu Huo.

The grilling activity took place by the lake in the evening. After Xiao Yuan set up the rack, those they encountered during the day sent staff to invite Xu Huo over for drinks.

“Just tell them I’m injured, but thank them for their kindness.” Xu Huo declined once more.

After the staff left, Tan Qi couldn’t help but say, “Those people see you as entertainnt. If you offend them they’ll surely not let it slide. If things get physical, Xiao Yuan and I might end up as hostages.”

Xu Huo continued to flip his grilled fish without looking up, “Just grill your fish honestly.”

Tan Qi had no choice but to stand aside.

Sure enough, before long, those two noble offspring returned, arrogantly telling him, “Young Master Werna wants you to co over.”

“Werna, Ashis Verna?” Xu Huo raised an eyebrow.

The two were montarily stunned, then replied, “How could Young Master Ashis possibly associate with soone like you?”

“I thought so, the new leading figure of the Werna family wouldn’t do that.” Xu Huo gestured to the spot beside him, “Please sit.”

“Young Master Werna wants you to go over, don’t you dare refuse?” The two, surprised and incredulous, hadn’t seen the expected reaction on Xu Huo’s face. “Do you still want to remain in Zone 011 after disrespecting the Werna Family?”

“Face is the family’s, but life is one’s own.” Xu Huo looked up at them, repeating, “Please sit.”

The two initially held so anger, but his gaze seed to douse them with cold water. Soon, they realized they couldn’t control their bodies, obediently following his words to sit, sending chills down their spines. The one who had called Xu Huo “Money Scatterer” spoke with bravado yet fear, “Don’t do anything rash, this is Zone 011, you can’t escape!”

Xu Huo ignored them, continuing to flip the fish in his hands. When the staff ca looking, he spoke for the two, “These two are my friends, they’ve decided to stay here for dinner.”

The young noble offspring, facing the staff’s gaze, dared not speak. If they died, even if the family sought revenge, what good would it do? They wouldn’t co back to life!

“You tell Young Master Werna that I… can’t go for now, please forgive ,” the other cautiously watched Xu Huo’s expression.

Even the most dense staff could sense sothing was wrong and left hastily.

“Will others co looking for them?” A curious Tan Qi asked for the two after a while.

“Probably not,” Xu Huo replied with a profound hint, “Honor belongs to the nobles, face to the family, but life is one’s own.”

Smart people know what to choose.

There’s no need to take risks over a trivial matter for two lackeys who are unrelated.
