Chapter 1758: Chapter 1758: Strength Speaks Louder

“We can’t just do what you say based on an unverified statent,” a player said, “You must provide convincing evidence.”

Xu Huo didn’t say much, but instead gestured towards the door with a ‘please’ gesture.

Anyone unwilling to get involved could leave at any ti, but those looking to hitch a ride had to agree to his proposal.

“Do you think we’re all fools?” A player with a face full of flesh stood up and walked out, “Whatever you say goes!”

Xu Huo didn’t stop him and watched as he left.

With soone leading the way, followers appeared one after another. These people not only left but also encouraged the players outside to leave as well. However, the vast majority were unwilling to go because, regardless of their true feelings, at least Xu Huo was a clue right in front of them. His words might not be true, but working together to kill a player wasn’t hard, and what if the “Ember Girl” was involved with him?

“Sothing doesn’t seem right,” the Buzz Cut woman lowered her voice and slowly moved closer to Xu Huo, “Have you ever considered that we might be targeted by everyone?”

The mont her words fell, three players leapt out from the crowd, using characteristics and props to clear the way first, then encircling Xu Huo’s trio from different directions—everyone wanted to claim this kill, so the players acted with speed.

In just the blink of an eye, a player in a white coat erged from the crowd, continuously shooting at the sa spot on the defensive barrier with his prop gun, then a thin sword flew from his sleeve, stabbing heavily at the spot where the gun had hit.

The effect was not bad; at least it broke through five or six layers of the Blossom’s barrier petals. The player in white coat laughed wildly, waving his other hand in front of Xu Huo’s eyes, “How many of

do you see!”

This characteristic took effect, affecting at least the Buzz Cut woman and the Bald Head. As they blinked, they found themselves surrounded by white coats, unable to tell the real one from illusions, forcing them to take a back-to-back defensive posture.

However, the white coat had already moved in an instant, slicing to Xu Huo’s left side and stabbing again, completely breaking open a section of the Blossom barrier, but unfortunately, what awaited him wasn’t the clearance screen but a black long blade.

The Black Blade circled around his neck, slicing open the throat, causing blood to spray and dyeing the white coat into a red coat. But it didn’t end there, as another four players closed in. Xu Huo sidestepped left and directly pierced the abdon of the nearest player, the Black Blade sweeping across to sever another player’s throat!

As for the remaining two players, the Buzz Cut woman and another were in between, making it hard for them to pose much threat. But Xu Huo didn’t move. In the next second, one was shot in the head, and the other inexplicably staggered past the two in between, only to have his head suddenly chopped off by sothing invisible.

In just a few seconds, all five attacking players were killed. Although they were Rank-C players, possibly equipped with good advanced items, they hadn’t even had a chance to use them and were killed. This wasn’t about luck, but rather being utterly powerless against Xu Huo, with their defense props being as useless as air!

The crowd, seeing the nacing figure standing in the middle of the bar, couldn’t help but feel a wave of apprehension and fear.

Xu Huo flicked the blood off the Black Blade and looked up at everyone again, his deanor no longer as amiable as before, “Those who don’t want to cooperate can leave now.”

While team rewards pose another kind of risk to players, Xu Huo’s overwhelming strength implied that he alone could put massive pressure on everyone else grouped together. Cooperation was another matter; players were more wary of being discarded after crossing the river. It might be easier to guard against other players, but guarding against him could prove difficult.

Ultimately, so players left, leaving about thirty people behind who agreed to Xu Huo’s proposal, working together without forming teams in advance, regrouping for confirmation when Xu Huo decided to clear the instance.

Including the three dungeon players still in Ember City, the “Ember Girl” instance required a total of thirty-five players to team up.

“Appearance is easy to change, and since we aren’t grouping now, it might be tough to recognize each other later,” suggested the Buzz Cut woman, “Let’s co up with a code phrase, so everyone can confirm their identity by stating it.”

“The Doll Factory,” Xu Huo said, “Please rember this code phrase.”

Once all thirty-five people were in the sa chat channel, he added, “If communication is unexpectedly disrupted, I’ll announce my location, and the gathering point will be two kiloters to the right of where I announce.”

The crowd nodded slightly, and finally, soone couldn’t hold back and asked, “You ntioned wanting the instance to ascend. What’s the thod of ascension?”

Xu Huo contacted the female player and imdiately received the first completed doll.

The doll had no head—sothing Xu Huo had specifically requested, the body largely restored to resemble Xia Xi Duolaiti, including the steel needles inserted in the limbs, with the slate made of the sa material.

“Is this the Ember Girl?” the crowd stared at the doll for a few seconds before soone spoke, “Was the Ember Girl a murdered person?”

“This torturous thod seems a bit like so sort of religious ritual.”

“Forget religious rituals, look at the text on that slate.”

The players, of course, didn’t overlook the slate, but what it stated clearly wasn’t related to their instance, which was rely about finding a painting. The text on the slate unexpectedly escalated the event to a historical issue.

Over a hundred years ago, mining accidents were rampant. It wouldn’t be surprising for those who lost family and friends to be emotionally unsettled. Considering the tiline of the “Ember Girl,” these occurred a long ti ago. Even if uncovered now, what significance does it hold? How is it related to instance ascension?

This was because most people didn’t understand the reasons behind the frequent mining accidents a century ago. Xu Huo did not elaborate further but explained what they needed to do, and while receiving the Amber dolls in succession, he sent part of the players to leave Tingting Flower Town and take action.

In Lüyang City, there is a station, and being a major tourist city, its day-to-day activities seem like a continuous loop, with both robotic and human guides maintaining the sa smiles, hoping to satisfy the visitors. Thus, in the afternoon of the previous day, Lüyang City issued a notification, inviting citizens and tourists to visit the city center square and coastal square to observe the green sky.

Of course, those with ti and money wouldn’t miss such an event, so as the day broke, people began arriving at the square. By the ti Chaoyang fully rose, the square was packed, with everyone waiting for the “most beautiful sunlight” mont announced by the municipal governnt. As the ti drew near, and with most people looking skywards, an object suddenly appeared in the air and crashed down. Despite the ard robots acting imdiately, due to the crowded square and the sudden appearance of the object, not very high, it fell directly into the small fountain in the center of the square, watched by all eyes.
