Chapter 1649: Chapter 1649: The Ga of Wits in the Hospital

“What parents? I don’t have parents.” The player seed provoked, blurting out, “My parents were eaten by

long ago!”

Xu Huo revealed a hint of regret at the right mont, “Did you dream again? Is it still that nightmare where the world is full of cannibalistic monsters?”

“Bullshit! I’ve told you, I didn’t dream, didn’t dream!” The other party was sowhat agitated, imdiately wanting to overturn tables and grab chairs, but at this mont, he realized he was actually strapped to the chair, soft leather belts wrapped his hands and feet three tis each, let alone causing a scene, he couldn’t even move much!

“Could you tell

about your dream?” Xu Huo seed unfazed by his rage and continued at his own pace, “Sharing can help calm your emotions. If you continue to be agitated like this, I’ll have no choice but to ask the nurse to give you an injection.”

The latter half had a good effect; the player visibly cald down, staring sinisterly at Xu Huo, “Dream… alright, I dreamt of you last night.”

“Really?”

“I dreamt that I dissected you, stewing so parts, roasting so, even the skin was a fine dish!”

Xu Huo’s expression didn’t change much, “So your dream has transford, from victim to aggressor.”

The other party emitted a low chuckle, “Doctor, co over here, I have sothing I want to tell you.”

Xu Huo intentionally glanced at him before flipping through his notebook, “Last ti you said Nurse Liu secretly ate the patient in room 502; before that, it was security guards abducting patients at night and you saw hotpot being cooked in the security room. Your ntal state has fluctuated greatly during this period… Have you thought about your parents?”

“I’ve told you, I don’t have parents, and you’re trying to deceive

with this rhetoric?” The player looked at Xu Huo disdainfully.

Xu Huo sighed, closed his notebook, and called loudly to have the nurse take the person away. After the door closed, he said to another nurse, “His condition has worsened. Besides the usual dication, add pills to his als, and notify his parents that there will be no visiting ti for the next three months, and his treatnt ti needs to be extended.”

The nurse said with so regret, “Wasn’t Zeng Ming’s situation much better after the last treatnt? I thought he’d be discharged this ti.”

“Was there sothing on the fifth floor last night?” Xu Huo asked.

“A patient had an outbreak, kept screaming, and hurt two people. It took two shots of sedative to calm him down,” the nurse replied. “Perhaps it scared him. When Nurse Liu ca out, she was covered in blood.”

“That might be a reason, although his condition has deteriorated, possibly attacking others; transfer him to the sixth floor.” Xu Huo arranged.

The nurse nodded.

These conversations were heard clearly by Zeng Ming, who hadn’t walked far. He spat on the ground and turned to go downstairs, but at that mont, a female nurse ca up from the lower floor. Her face fell upon seeing his action and she reprimanded, “Who allowed you to spit anywhere? Clean it up imdiately!”

Zeng Ming saw her na badge and recognized her as last night’s nurse, coldly sneering, “Killing you once wasn’t enough, I have to do it a second ti!”

Nurse Liu frowned and signaled for two security guards to pin him down, swiftly administering a sedative to him, “Lock him in the isolation ward to calm him down. Dr. Xu said his aggression is increasing, which could harm people. Tie his hands and feet securely.”

Just monts before, Zeng Ming wanted to act, but now he could only be carried upstairs weakly.

This left other players waiting nearby feeling troubled, as they hadn’t overheard the treatnt process. They planned to ask Zeng Ming about it, but who knew he’d be subdued as soon as he ca out? He was already asleep, unlikely to wake anyti soon.

“When undergoing psychological treatnt, even if you’re pretending, act obediently, and follow the doctor’s words to avoid asking for trouble.” One player warned his companions.

Soon, two other players undergoing treatnt also ca out, one being sent to the sixth floor as well, while the other managed to secure visiting ti.

“Visitation? Who’s visiting? Your family all died long ago!” A Rank-C player said bluntly.

The Level E player’s expression flickered, he opened his mouth but said nothing.

The pace was still quite slow, especially with several Rank-C players; Xu Huo couldn’t directly deal with all of them at once, so he could only start with his own tasks.

However, there was also good news: Cong Yu had revitalized himself. After a night of ups and downs, he started killing with urgency.

Liao Jie was tightly confined. He couldn’t find people for a while and wasn’t confident, so after overhearing several players were sedated and locked on the sixth floor from the nurses, he managed to sneak up quietly.

But the dical staff imagined by other players as cannibals were equally threatening to him. He waited for half an hour for a chance to kill soone, but dared not be too conspicuous, rely snapping the opponent’s neck.

Xu Huo could only assist him upstairs by calling away nearby nurses, finally giving him another opportunity to kill soone.

Patients who died in the hospital were first examined by the hospital per procedure, before notifying families to collect bodies. However, the deceased in the hospital list were all marked as having no known family or that their family did not care, coupled with dical staff having special al arrangents, thus their bodies had their own destinies.

Players who disappeared during psychological treatnt raised significant alarm among those left, as to them now, the entire hospital seed to be filled with cannibal monsters. Nurse Liu and the security guards, killed monts ago, could co back alive, seemingly making everything they did feel dreamlike, indistinguishable between reality and illusion.

anwhile, more players joined in; Chi Xian and others coordinated well with Tan-skinned City players. Only two Rank-C players were left outside, while the rest entered the instance, with a third of Level D Players joining as well. Combined with Liao Jie, not many Hope City players remained outside.

Of course, there were also Tan-skinned City players entering, but because the instance predominantly contained Hope City players with considerable strength, of the eight Tan-skinned City players entering, only three survived successfully, including Cong Yu.

Cong Yu held the Gene Potion that could remove the parasites on them. Previously, no one knew their appearance; once they stripped off the tan skin and were cautious, Hope City players casually seeing them might rely assu they were hospital patients.

Under Cong Yu’s lead, Tan-skinned City players started exploring the use of the instance to deal with Hope City people. With Hope losing five allies consecutively, they began reconsidering, trying all thods to search the hospital, not only to locate hidden Tan-skinned City dwellers but also to connect with Liao Jie.

In reality, their ga panels were still functional, just that Liao Jie was disconnected on the other end, as Xu Huo arranged a separate psychological treatnt for him at his request.
