Chapter 1602: Chapter 1602: I Have a Question for You

As it stands, whether ticket players or non-ticket players, once inside, they face the sa dangers.

Unconscious sleep and fungal poisoning might not necessarily be lethal, but other hidden rules in the instance may not be so easily avoided.

For the vast majority of players, space is a blind spot. Even with a space-ti item in hand, they’re equally clueless about the spots in the ga that involve space-ti theories or rules.

Young Master Mo and Scarred Glasses both know that it’s not just a matter of forcing through for ten days. Even if they really manage not to sleep for ten days, they can’t guarantee that only those who sleep deeply will disappear.

It’s not about whether or not to find the "Midsumr Night’s River of Stars" now, but about figuring out how to survive until the instance ti ends.

Despite so unpleasantness earlier, Young Master Mo is adaptable and directly tells Xu Huo, "Even if you find soone missing, it doesn’t an you can stop it."

At this, Xu Huo gives him a closer look.

Realizing it’s due to his interruption that Xu Huo missed the mont the player disappeared, Young Master Mo doesn’t feel apologetic and says, "Aren’t there still a lot of people? Wait a bit more, won’t that do?"

Xu Huo remains silent.

Without knowing the disappearance rules, many possibilities exist. If the missing persons aren’t random, then it’s uncertain how long it’ll be before encountering it again.

Of course, if "being watched" or "soone is awake" is excluded, then it’s normal for Xu Huo not to witness the player disappear firsthand.

After confirming that Young Master Mo and Scarred Glasses didn’t tamper with anything, Xu Huo returns to the previous spot. But upon approaching, he furrows his brows tightly:

Everyone was killed.

Except for the person who disappeared from the room, the others, in their sleeping postures, had their throats slit, dying so ti ago. Their protective suits, inside and out, were soaked with blood.

Young Master Mo and Scarred Glasses also follow up. Seeing the scene, the forr says, "Was soone hiding nearby?"

"No," Scarred Glasses confirms firmly, "At least when the three of us were present, there were no active players within a two-kiloter radius."

He says this while squatting to check the wounds on the corpses, "These people died simultaneously. The killer was swift but didn’t take all the props, just so useful ones."

The monitoring devices in the room, regardless of whether Xu Huo set them up or the sleeping players did, were all gone.

"Clearly, soone who knew the rules of the instance took the chance to kill when players were asleep." Young Master Mo’s tone remains unchanged, but his expression is slightly heavier, "Is it really that you can’t wake up once you fall asleep?"

Who would believe that a bunch of advanced players would die so ambiguously?

"It’s possibly a player who knows about this instance beforehand." After checking inside and outside the room, Xu Huo says, "You can avoid unconsciousness by wearing the proper protective suit."

Although they’ve worn suits that allow breathing now, they were already affected upon arrival. Even if they need to inject antitoxin or eat, drink, urinate, and defecate, they have to be exposed to the air. They can’t fully defend against it.

Ten days is too long.

"Having enough antitoxin should be fine." Young Master Mo is hesitant to make a definitive statent, imdiately searching beneath the dinsion for relevant fungi that can cause unconsciousness, hoping to find suitable antitoxin.

Half the night has passed. The icons on Xu Huo’s map have already stopped increasing. After glancing at the last icon’s position, he turns to the other two and says, "Players from outside zones should know little about this instance. The ones taking action might be players from Zone 013. Good luck, both of you."

With that, he goes directly to find Chi Xian.

After running through heavy fog, he reaches a school.

Chi Xian’s chosen spot is here.

Once on the school playground, he unleashes his spiritual world, quickly scanning all buildings. He finds traces of props in the bathrooms on the first and top floors.

The vertical pupil opens on both sides, where players are present, but not Chi Xian.

But this is normal. If he really wanted to find a place to sleep, he wouldn’t easily expose his location to strangers.

After searching around and still not finding anyone, Xu Huo gives up and finds a room in a nearby residential building to attempt sleeping.

So far, he can confirm he’s been poisoned. The king fungus has been detoxifying—just unsure if it can fully counteract the sleep-inducing fungi—if that’s what they are.

Sitting by the bed, he releases his spiritual world, the empty room imdiately filling up with a library and a spiral staircase. White flowing water gathers before him and gradually forms a table shape.

He taps the table surface. Then the white table dissolves, and similar tapping sounds co from an unknown floor of the library.

After closing the library, Xu Huo lies down fully clothed. Though not previously sleepy, once lying down, a wave of drowsiness hits. Before long, his consciousness blurs, and just as he feels himself starting to sleep, soone gently taps his shoulder.

Opening his eyes, he checks the ti, finding only ten minutes have passed.

"This thod doesn’t work." Xu Huo rubs his brow. Falling asleep under insecure conditions is unwise, especially when uncertain about entering a more dangerous environnt in a sleeping state.

The window is still dead silent. After pausing for two seconds, he leaves the room, moving all the nearby sleeping people to the school. He sets up monitoring devices around the school’s gates, classroom inside and outside.

Returning to the classroom, he sits on the podium, rotating the wisdom sphere while watching the sleeping people below.

Unfortunately, even after unlocking the wisdom sphere’s second layer and waiting until dawn, no one disappeared until soone woke up.

The first to awaken is the male player hiding in the won’s restroom on the first floor. As his consciousness returns, he finds himself lying on a desk and imdiately pulls away from those nearby, rushing to the playground—a two hundred-ter distance that can avoid many props.

Then two more wake up, seeing Xu Huo calmly seated on the podium, they ask, "Why did you move us here?"

They aren’t foolish. Except for Xu Huo, whether awake or asleep, everyone is on the desks. He doesn’t seem like he’s just woken up, must’ve moved them.

Not taking action while they sleep shows his intent isn’t murder or theft, so there’s room for negotiation.

"Why run so far?" Xu Huo turns to the person on the playground, "If I wanted to kill, I would’ve already done so. Co here, I need to ask you sothing."

This is an order, not a negotiation. So, the mont he finishes speaking, the person disappears from the playground and flashes back to the classroom.
