Chapter 1524: Chapter 1525: Faking an Accident

The Girl in the painting was not interested in thinking further. After receiving a negative answer, she said no more, but was a bit regretful that she couldn’t get a new house.

For Xu Huo, his experience in Zone 017 was far more important than any Super Props.

"Where are we going now?" asked the Girl in the painting.

Xu Huo had originally followed Xue Lang to the A7 Safe Zone, but found that he wasn’t there. Although the woman in the black trench coat was very likely with him, he had now lost track of her as well. It was going to be challenging to find them in a vast place like Zone 017.

The place where the Wise Variant first appeared couldn’t be reached anyti soon, and even if he found the origin, the person releasing the Variant might not linger there, making it equally difficult to gather more information.

The white-haired old man seed to have taken the fall for killing Yuguo, attracting the attention of the Guile Sound Knights, and he was also a virus enthusiast, becoming the target of the woman in the black trench coat.

Given the current situation, the Rank A Prop "Life Core" that Xu Huo obtained from Yuguo, which could quickly dissolve tal, and the polluted bacteria extracted from his severed hand couldn’t be used in Zone 017, otherwise, he might get targeted by the Guile Sound Knights.

These people had been looking for enemies since Yuguo’s death, they had been to Zone 011 before and now they had co to Zone 017...

So sooner or later, Xu Huo would confront them. He marked the positions of several mbers of the Guile Sound Knights on the map and imdiately changed direction, heading northward to the nearby Dawnmoon City.

Near this city was White Challenger One of the Guile Sound Knights, a Rank-A Player whose profession was Funeral Master. He had initially activated the Black-White Roulette in Sea City, at one point controlling nearly a third of the city’s area and using this Prop to kill many people.

Dawnmoon City, located by the sea, had been raining ever since a storm erupted over the ocean three days ago. Xu Huo arrived at night, and the heavy rain continued unabated, drenching the city. Whether due to damage to the power system or self-preservation reasons, only sporadic lights were on in the city, flickering like glowing lights in the heavy rain and dark night, seeming about to extinguish at any mont.

Previous help ssages had ntioned that the entire city had already been controlled by players from outside areas, who were in conflict with each other, engaging in skirmishes in groups of three or five, causing considerable casualties.

However, from the journey Xu Huo took upon entering the city, Dawnmoon City didn’t seem to have been attacked by players.

"Wah... wah... wah!" A child suddenly cried out, and the heavy rain couldn’t cover the shrill sound, but it quickly ca to an abrupt stop — all the residents of Dawnmoon City were carefully not making too much noise.

The heavy rain limited visibility to so extent, and Xu Huo walked with an umbrella under the rain curtain, soon encountering a player wearing a raincoat. The other party used a Defense Prop to keep dry, and upon seeing him, paused and gave him a deep look before leaving quickly.

Xu Huo saw him turn into an alley and enter the back door of a bar.

When the door closed, he clearly felt a strange force seed to flash through inside the bar, like Spatial Power, but vaguely different. However, after the force disappeared, the bar beca empty, and the player who had just entered was gone.

Xu Huo hesitated for a mont and then continued walking forward, and about three minutes later, he encountered the sa player again.

The other was surprised to see him, then hurriedly quickened his pace to leave again, seemingly heading back to the bar, followed by the sound of the bar’s back door opening and closing, and the person entering once again disappeared.

To avoid unnecessary trouble, Xu Huo did not enter the bar to investigate, instead leaving the Vertical Pupil outside. Since the distance wasn’t far, he kept an eye on things, and yet, it wasn’t long before the player who disappeared for the second ti appeared in front of him again.

This ti, both parties stopped moving.

The player, who seed no older than twenty-sothing, initially stared intently at Xu Huo, then grit his teeth, his body slightly trembling, and after a mont shouted, "Are you fucking done yet?!"

"I’d like to ask the sa thing," Xu Huo said flatly. "You’ve passed by

three tis already, looking for trouble?"

The words seed to ignite a fuse, and the raincoat player spitefully spit on the ground, then quickly raised a flathrower. With a flick of the switch, flas pierced through the heavy rain, engulfing Xu Huo instantly!

Even with a protective suit and using a Defense Prop, the heat of the flas was still palpable. Xu Huo manipulated the Spatial Ray, raising the muzzle of the flathrower slightly, then shifted to the man’s back, while retracting the Secant Line he had just released.

The opponent anticipated his move, shifting backward as he turned and dodging the "Cake Cutter" attack by turning sideways.

Both used stealth props, but their effects were nullified under the Defense Prop. Seeing this, the raincoat player shouted, "Last wish on the gallows!"

That was when the "Revolving Lantern" ca into effect, with the player in the raincoat, originally tens of ters away, appearing magnified and semi-kneeling in front of Xu Huo, like a still fra — this was a property effect block, stopping ti within a fifty-ter range for five seconds.

However, this did not include the two of them within it.

The raincoat player also saw the still fra, and the next second, propelled himself from his original position, piercing the still fra with one hand aiming at Xu Huo’s throat.

Although Xu Huo’s Evolution Rate might not be as high as players of the sa level, the effect of Perfect Evolution was enough to bridge the gap, and both being Rank-C, the raincoat player had no advantage. So when the opponent approached, Xu Huo rely sidestepped, using his position to easily land a punch on the man’s back.

The raincoat player jerked forward from the punch, but he reacted swiftly, using a Teleportation Prop to dash to the bar, giving Xu Huo the finger before ducking into the alley, shouting, "If I fall for your trick again, I’m a pig!"

Indeed, sotis the line between humans and pigs is not so clear, as with the raincoat player who, three minutes ago was a well-postured, handso young man, voluntarily "beca" a pig three minutes later.

In their fourth encounter, his emotions were less stirred. Expressionless, he looked at Xu Huo and said, "Clearly, I can’t beat you, so what will it take for you to let

go?"

Xu Huo raised an eyebrow, softly sighed, "From the start, I had no idea what you were talking about. You repeatedly appeared before . Aren’t you the one looking for trouble?"

The raincoat player hesitated for a mont, suddenly looked around, "Is this Dawnmoon City?"

"Where else would it be?" Xu Huo retorted.

"Did you just co from out of town?" the other asked again.

Seeing Xu Huo nod, the raincoat player clasped his fists tightly, his expression turning ecstatic, "I knew I wasn’t that green, haha, I got out!"

Before Xu Huo could inquire further, the force that had appeared at the bar swept past them again, he quickly turned but found that the street compared to before had no change whatsoever.
