20: Chapter 20 From now on, you are my boyfriend 20: Chapter 20 From now on, you are my boyfriend In the car.
“Sis, did you see how that guy just froze up?
It was hilarious.” Wei had never seen soone make such a comically bitter face before—it was like he was trying to laugh and cry at the sa ti, utterly bitter.
“You’re such a big figure, why bother picking a fight with that kind of person?” Yui couldn’t quite understand.
“That won’t do.
Anything related to you, no matter how small, I have to make a fuss about—and I must win!” Wei said with determination.
And that was a nice thing to say; Yui really couldn’t bla Wei.
“Speaking of which, did you actually book a restaurant?” Yui suddenly rembered Wei’s earlier words.
“Not really, I just said that to bluff him,” Wei shook his head.
“Is that so?
You had fooled too,” Yui pretended to be disappointed.
And yet Wei took it seriously and asked, “Sis, do you know if there’s a nice-tasting restaurant around here?”
“I was just kidding.
Why are you taking it seriously?
Let’s go back ho to eat.
It’s been a long ti since I had your ho cooking.
I really miss it,” Yui spoke earnestly.
“I’m afraid that won’t work.
That guy is still following us.” Wei gestured with a look.
Yui glanced at the rearview mirror and sure enough, she saw Wang Ziquan tailing them closely in his sports car.
“He really is like a bad penny!
Sigh.” Yui couldn’t help but sigh.
“I guess he thinks we’re pretending to be a couple.
Looks like he often bothers you, doesn’t he?” Wei inquired.
“At least two or three tis a week.
He’s so thick-skinned.
No matter how I reject him, he doesn’t give up.
Qingshi Group has quite a few dealings with the Wang Family, so I can’t really do much to him.
I just turn a blind eye,” Yui ntioned Wang Ziquan with a headache and massaged her temples, her eyebrows knit in frustration.
“Need to take care of him for you?” Wei raised his hand, making a mock knife-swiping gesture, and looked fierce.
“Don’t!
Wei, please don’t cause trouble.
There’s no need to stir up issues,” Yui took him seriously and quickly tried to dissuade him.
Seeing her anxious look, Wei burst into laughter, “Hahaha, sis, I was just joking.”
“Humph!
Annoying.
Always joking with .
I won’t talk to you anymore.” Yui crossed her arms and turned away.
“Are you really mad?” Wei glanced at her and asked.
Seeing Yui didn’t respond, Wei begged for forgiveness, “Ow, sis, my dear sis, I was wrong.
Isn’t it enough that I’m apologizing?
You say what we should do, and we’ll do just that, alright?”
“Really?” Yui looked like she’d transford, her bright eyes full of anticipation.
“Yeah.” Wei nodded, feeling like he might have been tricked.
“From now on, you’re my boyfriend,” Yui declared earnestly.
“What!
Boyfriend?” Wei almost lost control of the steering wheel.
The car jolted, and Yui ended up falling onto Wei.
It was as awkward as it gets.
“Idiot!
Pay attention to your driving!
What if sothing happened?” Yui scolded him.
“That’s because you suddenly said that kind of thing.
That’s why I got distracted,” Wei retorted.
“That kind of thing?
What thing?” Yui didn’t quite catch on at the mont.
“What…as in I’m your boyfriend?” Chen Wei admitted, he indeed had a fondness for Su Yui, but still, having their relationship suddenly change from ntor to lovers was proving to be a bit difficult!
It was because Chen Wei had always treated Su Yui like family, including the other five ntors…
Upon hearing this, Su Yui was briefly startled.
“Pfft!” She couldn’t hold back her laughter any longer, and she even raised her hand to wipe away the tears that laughter had brought to her eyes, “Silly boy, what are you thinking?
I ant pretend to be my boyfriend, not actually beco my boyfriend.”
“I see,” Chen Wei said, relieved to hear her say this.
Seeing him look so relieved, Su Yui’s face showed a hint of reproach, “What, you find repulsive?
You think being my boyfriend is embarrassing?”
“No!
How could I?
I’ve always thought the man who marries my big sister ntor is undoubtedly the luckiest man in the world, without a doubt!” Chen Wei raised his hand, swearing.
“Hmph, that’s more like it,” Su Yui was satisfied and then said, “Turn right at the intersection up ahead; there’s a five-star hotel.
I’ve been there a few tis, and the food is pretty good.
I’m a mber there, so no need to make a reservation.”
“Okay!” Chen Wei did as Su Yui directed, and soon they arrived at the hotel.
By the ti Wang Ziquan caught up, he saw Chen Wei and Su Yui clinging to each other, looking very intimate, just like a couple in the throes of passionate love, entering the hotel’s main entrance.
The more he looked, the angrier Wang Ziquan beca.
He quickly parked his car and followed them in.
This green hat, he absolutely could not wear it without clarity!
Even though Su Yui had never promised him anything, in Wang Ziquan’s mind, she was already his predestined future wife, and no one else could touch her!
What’s more, he didn’t think that Su Yui would choose a nobody with unclear background who clearly lived off won, over himself, the proud scion of the Wang Family!
Wang Ziquan believed that Su Yui must have been deceived by Chen Wei!
He must expose his hypocrisy and take Su Yui back!
So there he was, believing himself flawlessly disguised, sitting three tables away from Chen Wei and Su Yui, using a nu to shield himself as he monitored their every move.
This behavior, in Chen Wei’s eyes, was incredibly foolish; not to ntion in such an environnt, even if it were outdoors, within a five-hundred-ter radius, the slightest stir wouldn’t escape his ears.
Chen Wei had once, under extrely complex circumstances, single-handedly taken out a hundred-man, fully-ard elite rcenary troop with just a knife.
Wang Ziquan?
He was still too green.
To people like him, Chen Wei couldn’t even be bothered to take an extra glance, considering it a waste of ti.
He concentrated on ordering, and anwhile, sent a text to inform the sisters that he wouldn’t be having dinner with them tonight, and they should just prepare their own portions.
Or he could bring sothing back for them, but this suggestion was politely declined by the sensible Lin Yibai.
In about fifteen minutes, the waiter pushed the dining cart over.
The steak and cream mushroom soup were each served smoothly onto the table.
The actions were very formalized, obviously well-trained, which is why they worked here.
Five-star hotels were particular about service and arguably, that’s what was sold in places like these.
After all the dishes were on the table, the waiter finally placed an unopened bottle of red wine next to Su Yui.
Su Yui looked at her with confusion and asked, “I don’t think I ordered any red wine.”
“Miss, the thing is, that bottle of red wine was sent over by that gentleman over there,” replied the waiter.
Following the direction the waiter pointed, Su Yui saw a middle-aged man dressed in a white suit, with a slicked-back hairdo.
When their gazes t, the man raised his glass of red wine and flashed a brilliant smile.
