"Rear Admiral in Navy Headquarters?!"

Sword froze when he heard the news, eyes wide as if he had seen a ghost.

Nami, who had just learned how naval ranks work, was both shocked and thrilled. She clapped her hands in delight.

"That's Chiyu-sama for you!

We set sail when he was only a Chief Petty Officer, and in barely half a year he's already a Rear Admiral at Headquarters!

No one's ever been promoted that fast!"

Sword nodded, voice shaky.

"Unprecedented, indeed…

No one in the entire East Blue holds that rank—each naval branch here is led by a re Colonel.

In other words, Chiyu-sama is now truly the number‑one figure in the East Blue!"

Nami grinned proudly.

"And rightly so!

Chiyu-sama has wiped the East Blue clean—he's a hero whose na will be rembered forever!"

Sword agreed.

"I've even heard that towns all over the East Blue are already casting statues, erecting shrines, and singing his praises…

After all, once you destroyed those pirates and bandits, the East Blue was reborn—practically a perfect world."

Three months had passed since the great battle with Red‑Haired Shanks and the destruction of Buggy's crew.

During that ti Chiyu had scoured every remaining sea and island in the East Blue, exterminating the last pirates and bandits and restoring total peace.

By now, his na was spoken almost like that of a deity. So even worshipped him as a savior—though Chiyu himself cared little for such things.

Still, the Headquarters promotion and the acclaim served a purpose: with the East Blue purged, his next goal was the entire Grand Line.

To reach it, he would need Headquarters' support—ships, crew, food, ammunition, funds, charts, Log Poses, and more.

No matter how strong he was, the vast ocean still had to be crossed.

At the mont, their warship Uchiha was returning toward Loguetown. For three months Chiyu had never slackened—eliminating pirates by day and honing his power by night. His duel with Shanks had shown him he was still not strong enough: right now his strength was only on par with a Naruto‑verse jōnin or a CP9 agent.

He possessed the three‑tomoe Sharingan, Lightning and Fire Release, swordsmanship, and all six Rokushiki techniques. Over these months he had fused them into a unique system—but he still needed more abilities native to this world, and a higher rank ant more resources and opportunities.

When the group finally set foot in Loguetown again, barely half a year had passed, yet the place felt changed beyond recognition. In the wide plaza where the Pirate King Roger had been executed, a huge statue of Chiyu now stood, facing the gallows from afar.

The statue depicted him in a Marine "Justice" cloak, sword in hand, blood‑red eyes glaring coldly at the execution stand—a clear symbol: Roger's death had begun the Great Pirate Era; Chiyu intended to end it.

Captain Smoker and Tashigi led the local marines out to greet them. Smoker saluted first.

"Rear Admiral Chiyu."

Tashigi, long past her earlier resentnt, hung her head in remorse.

"Sir, I was childish before. I understand now—you were right.

The East Blue is utterly peaceful; pirates can't even reach Loguetown anymore.

Captain Smoker and I haven't fought in ages." Follow current novᴇls on novel-fire

Smoker exhaled a thick smoke ring.

"She's right. With all pirates gone, no one reaches Loguetown, let alone the Grand Line. I'm basically idle. So we've decided to request transfer orders—straight to the Grand Line."

Chiyu nodded; it was inevitable, rely earlier than planned.

Tashigi asked quickly,

"What about you, Sir?"

"I'm going to the Grand Line as well," Chiyu said.

"I've heard Admiral Akainu wants you stationed at Headquarters," she added.

Chiyu shook his head.

"Not yet."

"Why?"

"Because there are no pirates there," he said flatly.

Silence followed. Smoker chuckled cynically.

"That's exactly like you… So you'll sail the Grand Line?"

"Yes, but not to a fixed base. I'll command my own ship and wipe out pirates along the route. It's the fastest way to cleanse the world."

Smoker nodded.

"A path as hard as that…"

"That's why I'm needed," Chiyu replied.

In the crowd, weapons‑shop owner Ipponmatsu puffed himself up.

"See that? That's Marine hero Chiyu-sama!

The famous swords at his waist—Yubashiri and Sandai Kitetsu—he bought them from !"

The onlookers gasped, praising him sky‑high.

Smoker said,

"Co on. Your commission papers—and sothing else—are already at the Loguetown branch… including a special‑grade Navy warship."

Chiyu's eyes flashed.

"Lead the way."

He ignored the paperwork and went straight to the ship: a Headquarters‑only design nearly a hundred tres long, built of special materials, housing every facility and thirty‑six heavy cannons.

Most importantly:

1. Seastone plating on the keel, to ward off Sea Kings and even cross the Calm Belt safely.

2. Twin propulsion—sails plus paddle‑wheel engines—so it could move with or without wind.

In short, a vessel capable of reaching any sea and piercing the Calm Belt directly into the Grand Line. Even Chiyu's eyes lit up—exactly what he needed.

Nami's eyes sparkled.

"Wow, what a ship! How many berries is it worth?"

Tashigi answered seriously.

"It can't be priced in berries. The technology is Vegapunk's—sothing only the World Governnt and Navy possess. It's priceless."

Smoker added, "And more important than the ship is what cos with it—five hundred elite Headquarters marines."

At his order, the soldiers snapped to attention and saluted.

"Rear Admiral, sir!"

"Their commander should be a familiar face…" Smoker continued.

A tall, shapely woman with pale‑pink hair and purple sunglasses strode down the gangplank and saluted.

"Headquarters Colonel Hina. I look forward to serving you, Rear Admiral."

She was a classmate of Smoker's and a Cage‑Cage Fruit user, able to bind targets in iron bars. Hina eyed her new superior.

"Hina looks forward to cleansing every evil in this world with you, Sir."

Smoker blew a smoke ring, frowning.

"You haven't changed…"

"Call Colonel Hina‑sama, Smoker," she quipped. "I outrank you now."

Smoker only grunted; he, too, could be a Colonel at HQ but chose the front lines of Loguetown—just like Chiyu.

Nami whispered admiringly,

"What a cool Navy Onee-san…"

Hina frowned.

"And who's this little girl?"

"I'm Nami, joining the Navy to sail with Chiyu-sama!" the girl said cheerfully.

Hina glanced at Chiyu. He sighed.

"Start her as a deckhand."

"Yes, Rear Admiral!" Hina replied.

Nami stuck out her tongue playfully.

Though ready, the voyage to the Grand Line would not be easy, and matters in the East Blue had to be wrapped up.

Smoker and Tashigi soon received orders to G‑3 on the Grand Line—Smoker as Colonel (equal to Hina's HQ rank) and Tashigi as Major. The Loguetown base went to Sword, now promoted to local Colonel—teoric, yet well‑deserved after helping Chiyu pacify the East Blue.

anwhile Chiyu knuckled down on new abilities: the Headquarters reward for an East Blue swept clean—training manuals for Observation and Armant Haki. (Conqueror's Haki, of course, must be innate.)

In the One Piece world, martial arts, Devil Fruits, and Haki form the three great power systems; true top‑tiers almost never lack Haki.

Gifted by his Uchiha blood, Chiyu excelled at Observation Haki. Guided by his Sharingan's peerless insight, he grasped its secrets swiftly—lding perception, prediction, and evasion with his ocular powers. Even at a beginner's level, fused with the Sharingan it granted him peerless combat intuition.

He also learned Armant Haki—not as quickly, yet "a few days to basic mastery" was monstrous to anyone else.

At last, everything was ready.

Chiyu boarded his newly nad flagship—the Uchiha. Hina, Nami, and five hundred elites stood ready. Smoker and Tashigi prepared their own ship.

The two vessels lay side by side at Loguetown pier. Colonel Sword led every local marine in a formal farewell; townsfolk and visitors thronged the shore to wave at Chiyu.

He cast them a glance, gave a brief wave, and turned away.

Hina sighed softly.

"Still so cool and distant… Hina is moved nonetheless."

Nami, realizing how hard it would be to return once they entered the Grand Line, felt a pang of hosickness, but her spirits soon lifted.

"Nojiko, Genzo—wait for !

Next ti I'm back, I'll be a world‑saving hero!

I'll help Chiyu-sama fulfill his wish—and draw the map of the whole world!"

The Uchiha stead out. From Smoker's deck, he called:

"Farewell—see you next ti in the Grand Line!"

Chiyu nodded.

His ship did not climb Reverse Mountain; instead, its engines engaged and, with Seastone hull gleaming, it cut straight across the windless Calm Belt. Sea Kings and dead air ant nothing to this vessel.

Before long, as Nami still marveled at the leviathans below, the faintest breeze returned—proof they had breached the Calm Belt.

These waters were the true Grand Line.

Chiyu nodded to himself.

His campaign to purge the entire world of pirates had, at last, truly begun.
