"You clod, instead of cultivating properly, why are you staring at ?" Lu Yu asked sowhat irritably, at a loss for words at this creature's extre laziness. Big Black Donkey always chose lying over sitting if possible, sneaking in laziness at any chance. Since the arrival of Little White Elephant, the two had beco the "Chaos Demon King duo" of Mountain Luoxia, turning the entire mountain range upside down.
"Master, I ca to congratulate you upon hearing of Lu Xun's triumphant founding," Big Black Donkey said with a sycophantic smile, almost ready to kneel and hug Lu Yu's leg.
"Speak up if you have sothing to say; don't disrupt my cultivation," Lu Yu glanced briefly, well aware of this creature's nature. With such an expression, Big Black Donkey was certainly seeking a favor.
Big Black Donkey then sheepishly smiled, "I was thinking, since Lu Xun succeeded, Master mustn't forget our hard work behind the scenes."
"What, you want so reward?" Lu Yu gave a half-smiling look that made Big Black Donkey feel uneasy.
"I dare not, dare not, I just hope Master, considering our efforts, would return those chests of gold to us," Big Black Donkey pleaded earnestly.
Seeing Lu Yu hesitate, Big Black Donkey abruptly threw himself at Lu Yu's legs and began to wail, "Master, I fought tooth and nail for those chests of gold. I hadn't even enjoyed them for a day before you confiscated them. I implore you, in recognition of my servitude, to return the gold to ."

At those words, Big Black Donkey imdiately released Lu Yu's leg and stepped back, "Master, don't deceive . If I don't see those chests of gold, I, Old Black, am not leaving today."
Seeing this, a hint of a smile graced Lu Yu's face. He hadn't anticipated Big Black Donkey's unwavering obsession with the chests of gold. With a light wave of his hand, the chests of gold appeared in front of Big Black Donkey.
Big Black Donkey's face brightened with delight; he stared at the chests of gold as if they were a long-lost lover.
"The gold is yours now, so be off with you. Do you want to ditate with or what?" Lu Yu said in feigned annoyance.
Big Black Donkey hurriedly left, saying as he went, "Master, you concentrate on your cultivation; Old Black will take his leave."
Once clear of Lu Yu's ditation spot, Big Black Donkey's deanor abruptly changed; he strutted with arrogance, as though he wished to lift his head high into the sky.
Outside he saw two shady figures lurking; it was Little White Elephant and Ruyi True Immortal who had been waiting. Observing the high-spirited Big Black Donkey, a joyful smile appeared on Ruyi True Immortal's face, knowing the matter was settled. If it hadn't been, Big Black Donkey would be leaving with a dejected look.
"Old Black, did you manage to get the gold back?" Little White Elephant asked eagerly.
With a snort, Big Black Donkey raised his head haughtily before boasting, "Of course. Who do you think took care of it? I am a cornerstone of this Cave Heaven; even Master has to give so deference."
However, this display was clearly for naught as far as Little White Elephant was concerned. Once he heard the gold was back, his eyes lit up. He couldn't care less about Big Black Donkey's words and rushed to his side to inquire about the gold.
Ruyi True Immortal chuckled to himself. Big Black Donkey reveled in the feeling of adoration, but when it ca to Little White Elephant, he often ended up on the losing side. The little one never cared for such things and didn't understand the art of observing words and gestures.
Ti flew, years passed. Since the gold's retrieval from Lu Yu, peace gradually returned to Mountain Luoxia.
With the world settled and Lu Xun's diligent governance, the citizens of Great Chu slowly erged from the shadow of war, embracing a new golden era.
