Looking up, I saw that the towering trees grew very densely, covering the entire mountain peak with endless greenery, while the roars of wild beasts occasionally reached my ears.

"Aren't you a cultivator? Can't you use a spell to find the way?" Lao Han suggested.

"I'm not an Immortal. Besides, I haven't heard of any spell to find the way," Mr. Wu replied irritably.

anwhile, inside the Cave Heaven, Liu Qingyun had already sensed the arrival of the group. He called to Lu Xun, who was studying earnestly by his side, "There are two guests at the mountain gate, go and greet them."

Lu Xun felt puzzled. Greeting and escorting guests had always been the task of the two child servants. He couldn't fathom why today he was asked to do it and what significance it held.

However, having taken Liu Qingyun as his teacher, he naturally didn't dare to disobey his master's orders, so he walked towards the outside of his abode filled with doubts.

After all, he had been in Mountain Luoxia for so ti now, often being accompanied by the likes of Big Black Donkey and Little White Elephant. Lu Xun was naturally very familiar with this place. The fierce beasts in the mountains had long been bullied enough by those two unworthy creatures. Seeing Lu Xun was like a mouse seeing a cat—they had already run away without a trace.

Thus, Lu Xun easily arrived at the foot of the mountain and saw the ragged army. After all, the numbers were significant.

The mont he saw this army, he recognized their origin—they were the Rebel Army that had breached the Capital City. He had no idea why they had co to Mountain Luoxia.

And when Lu Xun saw the Rebel Army, his figure likewise entered the eyes of Lao Han and Mr. Wu. With just one glance, they recognised that he was the person they were looking for. It was an intuition; Lu Xun was just standing there quietly, and they felt a sense of affinity and submissiveness deep in their hearts.

"Is this the effect of Dragon Qi? I was attracted with just a gaze; it's truly sowhat terrifying," Mr. Wu marveled inwardly.

As for Lao Han, upon seeing Lu Xun, his eyes beca very complex. The man opposite him would decide the fate of their group. Most crucial was the fact that he held a deep-seated vengeance against his own destroyed country and family.

"Are you the guests my master ntioned?" Lu Xun asked gently, his tone neither servile nor overbearing, without any hint of contempt, as if he were greeting a good friend he hadn't seen in years.

Regarding the Rebel Army, he didn't actually feel much hatred because he knew that without them, there would have been others. The root cause of Great Chu's fall was not them. Hence, when he saw this army, he didn't think of national and family hatred but rather saw this as an exceedingly elite force. If he could bring them under his command, it would be an excellent start.

Perhaps this was an innate talent—without even being taught, a person could learn by themselves. Maybe Lu Xun was a natural-born political animal.

"I am Han Xuansheng, and this is Wu Xingdao. We pay our respects to Your Highness, the Crown Prince," the two said in unison.

Those around them suddenly widened their eyes; they all ca from the Rebel Army and naturally knew the deep-seated enmity between themselves and the fallen Crown Prince. They were unclear why their leader would seek him out.

"Great Chu has fallen, what right do I have to claim the title of Crown Prince? Moreover, the world is in chaos, people are living in misery, and it's all the fault of the Lu Family. How could I have the face to call myself Crown Prince?" Lu Xun's stance was very humble, and in his words, he had already taken the fall of the nation upon his family's shoulders.

Though everyone knew his words were just pleasantries, they still felt a warmth in their hearts and consequently, they relaxed.

Hearing this, Lao Han inwardly nodded. Just from this speech, he felt that this Crown Prince indeed had substance and beca a little more confident about the purpose of their visit.

"The root of the world's chaos lies with the Noble Families and Clans, who have beco too powerful to control with land annexations, leaving the peasants holess and hungry. May I ask Your Highness how you would address this?" Lao Han asked earnestly, wanting to confirm that he was trusting the right person.

Lu Xun naturally knew this must be a test. As long as he passed the test, he could take this sowhat bedraggled, but elite force into his fold, becoming the foundation for Great Chu's revival.

"Implent examinations to select scholars, curb land annexations, unify the grain tax—then the Noble Families will naturally weaken over ti," Lu Xun spoke lightly.

Lao Han was taken aback. He hadn't expected to receive an answer imdiately when posing this question. All he hoped was to ensure that Lu Xun would not cover for the Noble Families or rely too much on them, or else it would be agonizing to have spent his life fighting only to benefit these families in the end.

To his surprise, Lu Xun directly laid out his policies. Although succinct, the well-read Lao Han sensed a whole new world within those words and felt as if the answer he had been desperately seeking was about to appear before him.

With shining eyes, he stepped quickly to Lu Xun's side and eagerly asked, "Could you please elaborate?"

Lu Xun was naturally more than willing to explain his ideas. After all, these were things he had gradually learned from many Sage texts and he was eager for recognition. Unfortunately for him, those around him were either cultivators, indifferent to such matters, or lacked the vision and knowledge to see the profundity in his words.

Now that he saw Lao Han's reaction, he knew that the man before him understood his aning and shared his ideals; they were truly kindred spirits.

So, with the breeze gently blowing, Lu Xun softly shared all of his insights. Listening, Lao Han was completely enraptured. He suddenly felt that all his years had been lived in vain. The insurmountable problems he thought unsolvable seed to have found their answers, and these were highly feasible.
