The Kingdom of Won, by the bank of the Mother and Child River, under the caress of the spring breeze, the weeping willows on the shore were already a lush green, swaying by the waterfront, casting a dense shadow on the surface of the water.
A man dressed in a green robe sat under one of the weeping willows. He held a Treasure Vase in his hands, painted with the vast ocean and the sun, moon, and stars.
On the still waters of the Mother and Child River, a faint mist began to rise, shrouding the area. Those knowledgeable would recognize that this mist wasn’t ordinary vapor but was charged with Lunar Energy.
Slowly, this vapor was drawn into the Treasure Vase, and as the vapor entered, the vase radiated light, twinkling incessantly.
Outside this mist, a beautiful woman searched with determination for sothing. She wore exquisite clothes with her makeup delicately applied, youthfully vibrant like a newly risen sun, with an indescribeable warmth to her.
"Lu Yu! Are you there?" The woman’s voice, crisp as the song of a lark, cut through the dense fog, reaching into Lu Yu’s ears.
Lu Yu, who had been sitting with his eyes closed by the shore, couldn’t help but open his eyes in surprise, looking around outside.
Under his command, the fog swiftly parted to either side, forming a pathway. At the end of the path stood a stunningly beautiful woman, her face alight with a smile.
"Lu Yu, I knew you had sothing to do with this mist!" The woman exclaid joyfully.
Lu Yu, however, asked with an impassive face, "Xuan Yue, why have you co?"
Xuan Yue responded with a smile, "Who asked you to leave without saying goodbye, without giving us sisters a chance to thank you properly, just leaving without a word?" Her tone held a flicker of annoyance.
Lu Yu exhaled softly and said, "The divide between immortals and mortals is vast, why trouble yourself?"
Tears imdiately sprang to Xuan Yue’s eyes, and she gently wiped them away before saying, "I also thought of forgetting you, as if you never appeared in my life, but upon hearing news of you I couldn’t resist the urge to co and see you one last ti, even if just to exchange a few words."
"Okay, I hope my words don’t cause you any trouble. I just wanted to see you one last ti—after all, as an immortal, it’s very likely that we’ll never et again."
After speaking, Xuan Yue turned and walked away. Lu Yu watched her go, standing there for a long ti before he sighed softly.

Xuan Yue, having left Lu Yu behind, wasn’t as relieved as she had claid, tears streaming down continuously, blurring her vision as she walked forward slowly, like a living corpse.
Suddenly, Xuan Yue, engulfed in sorrow bumped into soone, a soft body, clearly a woman.
She lifted her head, her tearful eyes looking at the person she had bumped into, quickly apologizing.
She then realized she was facing an exceedingly beautiful woman. Considering that Xuan Yue hailed from the Kingdom of Won, having seen only won all her life, she had never encountered such beauty before—like a Heavenly Immortal descending from the Nine Heavens, even she couldn’t help but admire.
"Such a pretty little lady, who would have the heart to make you cry!" The woman teased with a smile.
Her words caused Xuan Yue’s cheeks to blush, but she still retorted, "It’s not his fault, it’s my own unrequited love!"
The woman burst into laughter, covering her mouth, the sound lodious and pleasing to hear.
"Truly a lovesick person, even now you defend that man."
"He is an Immortal from the heavens, blessed with eternal life, and I am but a common man from the mortal realm, our paths are dood to have no convergence!" Xuan Yue said, her head lowered.
For so reason, she felt an overwhelming sense of familiarity upon seeing this beautiful woman, as if she had seen a family mber, a feeling she only had around her own sister. Therefore, she opened her heart and poured out these words.
"Immortals aren’t born thus but beco so through cultivation. As long as one is diligent, anyone can achieve eternal life."
The woman’s words ignited hope in Xuan Yue’s heart. Yes, if she worked hard and cultivated herself to beco an Immortal, wouldn’t she be worthy of Lu Yu?
At that mont, she had already made up her mind—she would beco an Immortal.
However, a problem now stood before her; she had no idea how to cultivate and beco an Immortal, which made her feel deflated.
The woman seed to notice Xuan Yue’s concerns and said with a smile, "Is it because you lack a Cultivation Technique? If you take as your master, I can teach you the Techniques to beco an Immortal. How does that sound?"
Xuan Yue’s eyes widened with excitent as she stared at the woman and asked, "Really?"
The woman smiled gently, pointed her finger, and in an instant, a large tree beside them was enveloped in frost, freezing it completely. A crisp sound followed, and the entire tree disintegrated into dust, scattering like snowflakes everywhere.
Xuan Yue quickly knelt on the ground and gave three firm kowtows, saying, "Master above, please accept your disciple’s bow!"
The woman gently helped Xuan Yue up, her face adorned with a warm smile, "Very well, from now on you are my disciple. You must cultivate diligently and beco an Immortal soon—to give that guy a huge scare!"
Upon hearing this, Xuan Yue nodded her head, delighted.
"By the way, Master, I don’t yet know your na."
The woman looked up at the sky and said, "My na is Chang’e! I am also known as the True Lord of the Moon and currently reside in the Moon Palace."
The bewildered Xuan Yue didn’t understand what the na Chang’e represented, but she imagined that living in the Moon Palace must be incredibly beautiful.
Chang’e seed to see through her disciple’s thoughts and, while ruffling Xuan Yue’s hair, said, "The Moon Palace isn’t as wonderful as you imagine; it’s a chilling place that can terrify!"
Lu Yu naturally had no idea that Chang’e had taken Xuan Yue as her disciple. He was wholly dedicated to the path of cultivation and had never entertained thoughts of romantic entanglents. Even though he knew of Xuan Yue’s affection, he chose to ignore it, believing that it is better to part ways than to dwell together without fulfillnt.
After Xuan Yue had left, Lu Yu continued on his quest to refine the Treasure Vase. With the continuous infusion of Lunar Energy, the Treasure Vase beca ever more mystical, with countless streams of Lunar Energy forming dark clouds inside the vessel.
Seeing this, Lu Yu frowned and said, "It seems Lunar Energy alone isn’t enough; only with the harmony of Yin and Yang can the Treasure Vase ascend to a higher level!"
Fortunately, in this Kingdom of Won, there was the Abortion Spring which contained a strong presence of Solar Energy, perfect for his needs. However, a Ruyi True Immortal resided there and presented an issue.
"A battle seems inevitable," Lu Yu muttered to himself.
He was well aware that the amount of Abortion Spring Water he needed for the refinent of his Treasure Vase was not insignificant. Given the miserly nature of the Ruyi True Immortal, it was highly unlikely that he would willingly offer up the spring water, so Lu Yu was prepared for the fight that lay ahead.
