By the ti Monkey and the others had stepped onto the territory of the Kingdom of Won, Lu Yu had quietly arrived and reached the bank of the Mother and Child River.

Gazing at the crystal-clear river water, Lu Yu was also stunned—it was indeed rare to see such a beautiful scene. He didn’t rush to start refining the Treasure Vase, but instead slowly sat down by the river, dipped his feet into the water, and let the cool river wash over his feet, enjoying this rare leisure.

For so reason, at that mont, he felt a strong urge to sleep; considering that since he had achieved proficiency in his practice, it seed he had rarely slept.

So, he closed his eyes, relaxed his mind, and gradually fell asleep to the gentle breeze and undisturbed water waves.

However, this peaceful state didn’t last long before he heard the urgent sound of horse hooves nearby. He saw a troop of cavalry rushing past, and they seed to be shouting sothing.

Lu Yu lay on the riverbank and slightly lifted his head, saw that these female soldiers weren’t looking to trouble him, so he lay down again. As long as they didn’t disturb his rare peace, it didn’t matter what they were shouting about. It was none of Lu Yu’s business, and he was too lazy to care. All he wanted was to fully enjoy these monts of peace.

However, not long after he lay down, a woman with her face covered in mud crawled out of the dense grass by the riverbank. Although her face was obscured by the mud and unrecognizable, her graceful figure exuded the air of nobility.

After the woman climbed out of the bushes, she looked around, then slowly breathed a sigh of relief, patted her chest, and let out a light laugh, "They thought they could catch , no chance."

Her dirt-covered face revealed a pleased smile, and she lightly patted her hands, then happily prepared to leave the area.

She had only walked a few steps when she noticed Lu Yu lying by the river, which surprised her greatly, "Who are you?" she imdiately drew her treasured sword and asked warily.

Lu Yu slightly opened his eyes and glanced at the woman, said in an annoyed tone, "You see what I am!"

"You are a man?" The woman seed surprised.

She then began to walk around Lu Yu, looking at him carefully as if to confirm that he really matched the legendary description of a man, while she comnted, "Looking at you, you do seem like the legendary man."

Lu Yu disregarded the excited woman. The warm sunlight was being blocked by the ceaselessly circling woman, which greatly displeased him; he had finally been enjoying so comfortable ti, so he said irritably, "I am a man, so what?"

The woman suddenly jumped up and exclaid, "You really are a man, oh my god, I’ve actually t a man, a legendary man at that!"

After saying this, she prepared to pounce on Lu Yu, evidently eager to touch him and see what was different about him.

Lu Yu hadn’t expected this sort of reaction from the woman, and quickly used a Binding Spell to freeze her in place. The woman, who was about to leap at him, instantly froze mid-pose, like a statue, motionless.

Lu Yu sighed lightly, his rare leisure ti interrupted by this woman who appeared out of nowhere. Moreover, he had a premonition that this woman would be a source of trouble.

So, he released the Freezing Curse and said to the woman, "Whoever you are, hurry up and leave this place; if I’m not mistaken, those cavalry must have been looking for you!"

But the woman seed not to have heard Lu Yu’s words at all and continued to stare dumbly at him, her eyes roving around, clearly up to so mischief.

Seeing this, Lu Yu couldn’t help but frown and asked, "Did you hear what I said?"

The woman seed to recover from her surprise, whispering as she wiped the corner of her mouth, "What did you just say? I didn’t hear clearly,"

"I told you to leave this place at once; do not disturb ."

"That won’t do. You are the legendary frail man; of course, I must stay here to protect you. Otherwise, if those crazy aunties see you, you’ll be in trouble," the woman said slowly, as if narrating a ghost story.

Lu Yu glanced at her contemptuously and said, "Do you think you people could harm ?"

But the woman replied, "The ancient texts record that a man with Divine Skills like you once ca here to the Kingdom of Won, but it’s unclear why. He later angered the King and was shot dead on the spot with a bow and arrow summoned from nowhere."

Frowning slightly, Lu Yu asked, "What kind of bow and arrow?"

"How do I know? The ancient texts only ntioned a bow and arrow; I’ve never seen it myself. Who knows what it looks like?"

Lu Yu sensed sothing unusual about the newcor, but without knowing their level of skill, he couldn’t estimate the power of the bow and arrow.

Just then, a noisy commotion suddenly ca from outside; unbeknownst to them, a large troop of soldiers had surrounded the place, with the clashing sounds of their Iron Armor reaching inside.

Seeing this, the woman panicked and dove into the water, swimming straight toward the middle of the river.

In a short while, an impressive army composed of won arrived at the spot but failed to notice Lu Yu standing aside.

Lu Yu had just used a Deceptive Technique to hide his presence, avoiding unnecessary trouble from the soldiers of the Kingdom of Won. He wanted nothing more than to quietly refine his Treasure Vase, not getting involved with any other complexities.

Countless soldiers searched carefully along the riverbank but failed to find the woman who had already swum to the middle of the river. After a while, a female General in armor arrived and asked a woman dressed as a Fisherman, "Is this the place you saw?"

"Yes, right here. I saw a tall woman dressed luxuriously with mud on her face talking to a man in a green robe," the woman confird.

"A man in a green robe? Did you get a good look at his face?" asked the General, furrowing her brows slightly. Such attire was not common in the Kingdom of Won.

"He was too far away to see clearly. I only know he was tall and looked very scholarly. Also, he looked very strange," the woman hesitated.

"Be more specific."

"His chest was very flat, well, he had no breast, and there was a big lump on his throat, which looked quite odd. His build was also much broader than that of ordinary people," the woman recalled her initial mory and spoke slowly.

"This description sounds sowhat familiar!" the General muttered to herself after hearing the woman’s description, looking puzzled.

"General, isn’t that just like the n described in the books!" a Strategist suddenly exclaid.
