Just at that mont, an invisible thread wrapped around his body; Azure Flower King was instantly startled, wondering where the thread had co from.

As he stared in astonishnt, the thread tightened more and more; Azure Flower King realized sothing was wrong and began to struggle fiercely against his bonds, but these threads made of water proved incredibly tough, and no matter how he struggled, he could not break free.

Lifting his head and looking through the water’s surface, Azure Flower King saw Lu Yu’s face full of smiles and also saw the fishing rod in his hand, along with the transparent thread hanging from it. A sense of humiliation surged within him; this was clearly the posture of fishing, and he was the fish being caught.

He roared in rage and struggled, causing the surface of Jing River to churn violently, with trendous waves rising skyward and rushing toward the small boat where Lu Yu was located.

But the lone boat across the river stood firm like Mount Tai amidst the waves, unperturbed, as if the trendous waves were re air, barely catching the notice of the person on the boat.

Lu Yu, holding the fishing rod, kept moving it to counteract the force produced by Azure Flower King’s struggles; Lao Qi gaped at the scene, having heard of Azure Flower King’s renown—a far from ordinary figure in the entire Jing River region, yet there he was, like a fish unable to break free from Lu Yu’s clutches.

Seeing their Great King in such a state, Azure Flower King’s subordinate demons hurriedly rushed forward, preparing to attack Lu Yu and rescue their lord.

They advanced in mighty numbers toward Lu Yu; however, before they could get close to him, a whirlpool suddenly appeared in the river. The great suction force emanating from within, though they struggled fiercely, was so strong that they couldn’t resist and were pulled into the midst of the whirlpool.

As the scenery before their eyes changed, they realized they had entered a magical space. Below was a vast sea, and looking up, they could see a small opening in the sky through which they could barely make out their Great King still struggling.

Suddenly, uncontrollably falling into the water, the little demons felt secretly relieved, thinking that after all, they were from the Aquatic Tribes, so falling into the sea was nothing serious.

But the mont they entered the sea, they sensed sothing wrong; there seed to be a strange force in the water that completely prevented them from floating. Instead, they sank like a person who couldn’t swim, the surrounding water pressing against their bodies like stone.

As ti passed, more and more little demons couldn’t withstand the imnse pressure and were crushed into a mushy ss by the water pressure.

As for the fate of those little demons sucked into the Treasure Vase, Lu Yu didn’t care at all; at that mont, he was intently playing the role of a fisherman, savoring a joy of fishing that others couldn’t fathom.

If Azure Flower King, who kept struggling, had heard the mindset of Lu Yu, he might have shed tears, realizing that his fate was indeed the sa as those fish.

Azure Flower King, seeing how bad the situation was, roared loudly and revealed his true form—a hundred-zhang long Azure Flower Python, baring its huge mouth and continuously roaring; its struggles now even more intense.

"Now that’s interesting!" Lu Yu laughed aloud, his hands unambiguous, his mana surging, intensifying the binding force of the water line, which had even begun to cut into the python’s body, instantly staining the river red with blood.

"Get up!" Lu Yu said, then with a vigorous swing of the fishing pole toward the sky, the python was flung into the air.

Azure Flower King had never suffered such humiliation. Seizing the brief mont when he was flung into the air, he opened his large, gaping mouth with two fangs gleaming ominously, secreting green poison.

A plu of toxic fus sprayed towards Lu Yu’s face; this was Azure Flower King’s most prized poison. A re whiff could dizzy any ordinary Cultivator, and he had indeed duped many with this trick.

However, this ti he had chosen the wrong target. His poisonous fog hadn’t even co close to Lu Yu when it was completely sucked into the Treasure Vase that Lu Yu held in his hand.

Seeing this, Azure Flower King knew things had turned dire and swiftly turned to flee. But how could Lu Yu let him escape? With a gentle utterance of "freeze," Azure Flower King lost control and was suspended in mid-air before falling down. Without any courtesy, Lu Yu drew his Treasured Sword and chopped off his head.

The surface of the Jing River suddenly turned blood-red as Lu Yu grasped the demon’s severed head, tossed it lightly, and said to Lao Qi, "Hang this head before the gate of Dragon Palace. Let’s see who else dares to seek death."

Lu Yu was making an example out of him; his location was a critical pass that all must traverse to reach the Dragon Palace. Today, anyone seeking trouble at the Dragon Palace would be blocked by him.

Lu Yu was well aware that at tis like these, only thunderous thods and fresh blood could deter those with ulterior motives from their greedy sches.

Thus, Azure Flower King beca the "chicken" killed to scare the "monkeys."

anwhile, at the Crystal Palace at the riverbed, Lao Gui had already gathered a large group of Aquatic Tribes clad in armor and wielding sharp blades.

"Uncle Gui, what are you planning to do?" Dragon Queen asked, looking at the array of miscellaneous troops behind Lao Gui.

Lao Gui was no ordinary character. Initially, Jing River’s old dragon had managed to establish a foothold in these waters with his aid. Furthermore, he was a renowned general among the Jing River Aquatic Tribes, but he had chosen to retire and stay out of worldly affairs as he aged. Even the Dragon Queen treated him with great respect, addressing him affectionately as "uncle" in her words.

"I saw that scoundrel Azure Flower King swaggering here. That boy left you all alone, I couldn’t just sit by and watch you get bullied. Besides, if Jing River’s waters fall into that scoundrel’s hands again, would there still be good days ahead? Don’t be afraid though.

Even though we’re older than before, who wins the fight is still not certain," Lao Gui said firmly, his face full of combat willingness.

"I appreciate your kind intentions, Uncle Gui, but my husband has already made arrangents. You don’t have to worry, it’s not yet ti for you old folks to fight to the death," Dragon Queen said, sowhat relieved by the scene. This proved that the efforts she and her husband had put in over the years weren’t in vain, as the people of the entire Jing River region still supported them.

As they were talking, sothing suddenly dropped into the river, landing right in front of the gate of the Crystal Palace with a muffled thud.

Everyone was startled, but upon closer inspection, they realized it was a blood-stained head.

"Oh! Isn’t this the head of Azure Flower King?" soone recognized the identity of the head, as many elders here had once been the main force driving out Azure Flower King and naturally knew him.

Lao Gui hurried over to check, and indeed it was the head of Azure Flower King, seemingly chopped off with a sharp weapon. Discover exclusive tales on .Côm
